Hi,

I started to read different comments on www vs non www and I am a little confused.

As far as i know from SEO point, either url is fine but can you please share your latest view ? I was just wondering if anything has changed since penguin on this?

There is no benefit or negative aspect to either - pick one and stick with for your own internal linking structure, external linking structure, Google Webmaster Tools setup and outreach. I also suggest doing a redirect from the one that you do not choose to the one that you choose. For instance if you want to go with www.domain.com, make sure you 301 redirect any traffic from domain.com.

Www to nonwww - domain authority drop build it back up plan

hi there, I recently changed my website over from a www. (or nothing selected so i assume www.). to a non-www. eg webmasters and my website are all on the same page. I contacted as many websites as i could that have my link in there website to update it to the http://websitedotcom the cblocks dropped by 50% (from 12 to 6).
domain authority dropped from 21 to 19. is there a way to see which c-blocks I lost? finnmoto.com.au thanks matt

How can a site with no content, non SEO optimized or any value rank better?

I understand there are many more variables to rank #1, but this site is currently #1 for one of our top keywords and I really don't understand what they Competior site barely has 200 words on any given page, very few content other than images with no ALT tags, titles, No H1 tags. in other words the website is not SEO optimized. My site has content, product descriptions, images, relevant titles, and definitely more optimized than competitor. The No of Sites linking to www.apollopowersystems.com is 50 as per Alexa, but Moz shows that the no of sites linking is 23\. The no has increased in Alexa but in Moz the no is 23 since 3 months. Why is this Difference?

Hi There, As I am new to SEO, so the problem that I am listing below may seem very naive. Please help me out. Please explain me the difference between the no of backlinks of the website, www.apollopowersystems.com as per the websites below. The nos are completely different as per the websites below: As per www.moz.com the no is 23 As per www.ahrefs.com the no currently is 586 As per www.alexa.com the no is 50 Please tell me why these nos are different. Pagerank 0 vs Page Authority 53....?

I sometimes see sites with PageRank 0 but Page Authority 50+. For instance http://auto.beginthier.nl/: PageAuthority = 53
mozRank = 4,64
mozTrust = 5,69
Root domain links = 42
PageRank = 0 How should i interpret these stats? If or instance i'm optimizing for a car related website (a site about: car parts, car insurrance, classic cars), would these be a good place or a bad place to get links from (ignoring the benefits of direct traffic)? PA = 53 (very good) Vs. PR = 0 (very bad)?

Is it good practise to do a 301 redirect from domain.co.uk to www.domain.co.uk?

As the title says really, I'm sure the answer is Yes, but I cannot remember why probably one of the many things I read somewhere along the line and can't recall the reasoning can anyone enlighten me please?

Remove links or change anchor text?

I am currently in the process of cleaning up the link profile for a website that has been hit by Penguin thanks to loads of links from free directories with exact match keyword anchor texts (about 200 root domains from total of 300 root domains). I was wondering whether it's best to remove these un-natrual keyword anchor text links altogether, or change the anchor texts to brand (domain name, domainname.com, www.domainname.com, http://www.domainname.com)? I am currently trying to remove these links but was thinking it would be quicker to get to a healthier link profile (in terms of brand/commercial anchor text split) by altering the anchor texts and not removing them. Some of these directories are the worst of the worst on the other hand. Also note that I'm only really getting about a 30% response rate from the owners of these directories. Any thoughts? Page links vs. domain links

Hello all, I am trying to find out how Google weighs page inbound links vs. domain inbound links. I have a domain with about 100,000 inbound links and am adding a new page to my domain which at this time has 0 links. I will be trying to outrank a competitors page that has 6,000 inbound links to the competitors page, but only has 26,000 inbound links to my competitors domain . Is there a formula or a way to know how Google values a page link vs. a domain link?

Impact of Panda Algorithm Change on Articles Base.

I am a published author and researcher. All my articles are original content and high quality. If I am looking for backlinks by submitting high quality original articles to Articles Base, how will the panda algorithm change affect me? Should I be submitting articles somewhere else? If so, where? I greatly appreciate any suggestions you may have.
