SEO and PDFs
-
Hi there, how could I incorpore the PDF's documents of my site to the SEO strategy in order to optimize the page in which is included in?
Thanks
-
Although PDFs are indexed, Google recommends creating a copy of that PDF in HTML. There's no reason for leaving a page in PDF if you want it to be indexed.
Check Matt Cutts video on the most common mistakes SEOs make. He mentions converting the PDF content to an HTML version:
-
Hi Juan,
Google can index PDFs, but there are some exceptions:
- Google cannot index encrypted or password protected files;
- Or images in PDF document.

Hi dimitri, maybe I didn't explain it clearly. My site has a PDF in a page and I worder If it could be treated as pics, maybe with a tag with alt in this way in order to improve the overall SEO
Thanks

Yoast SEO doesn't recognize images
Hi, I'm currently adding alt tags to my images but the Yoast SEO plug in in Wordpress states on all my pages “No images appear in this page, consider adding some as appropriate.“ while I do have images on my pages. What could be the problem? Best, Rik

SEO Structure - Best Advice
Hi Mozzers, I'm wondering if I need to tweak my SEO friendly URL structure slightly. Example: http://www.vintageheirloom.com/vintage-celine/celine-bags would this be better for SEO if it was: http://www.vintageheirloom.com/vintage-celine/bags Perhaps the repetition of 'celine' is unnecesary, but OpenCart ecommerce CMS requires a plugin / modification to enable multiple use of a single term like e.g. 'bags'. Any benefit for $30? Thanks!

FAQS For Seo & Long Tail Optimization
Would it be ok to create a small FAQ section on the particular page I am working on using long tail keywords, all which have low competition, high search volume? I see a few competitors ranking this way, but it does not flow, its very obvious they are stuffing. Thanks!

Nowadays is it fundamental renaming images for SEO?
Its it fundamental nowadays renaming images for SEO? Many photos are on top positions without being renamed like: mykeyword.jpg but can be 9876986.jpg instead. Doesn't itcount much more the contest in which they are such as text around photos, descriptions and context from internal and external linking pages? Renaming everyphoto, in every gallery can be considered over optimization? Is there any study showing the impact the single factor of renaming a photo in a page? Thanks

SEO for standard website pages
How do you folks approach adding some SEO value to the standard "every site has them" pages like "About Us", "Contact Us" and such? I struggle trying to find some relevant non-branded content. We normally cover all the customers relevant services and product offerings in pages specfiically tailored to that content, but don't want to waste pages if they could have some value in drawing traffic. Any great ideas, Mozworld? Thanks, Mark
