Is there any reason to add the word "buy" to our Adwords keywords?

Was having a discussion with someone so I am going to write this up as neutral as possible and let you guys decide.
We have a large keyword list and they are all setup as phrase. Should we go back and add the word buy in front of all those keywords? Even though they are setup as phrase already. Example:
"Widget" (as a phrase)
Should we go back and add
"Buy Widget"
as a keyword?

I dunno, I think that sounds pretty normal. I would only start cutting keywords out if they were high cost, no return.
So since you work in a really niche market, and if you want to test the theory of "buy X" v just "X", then I would request incremental budget from marketing to run a 2-3 week test on your major head terms on broad match. then look at the search query report for only that keyword during that test time to get some new ideas for keywords to target.

A little bit. We don't actually sell widgets, I was just using that as an example. We deal in somewhat of a niche market so the keywords we do use never have a lot of impressions. Right now we probably have about 9k keywords. Think I should try to cut that down?

The term "widget" is a big, broad term.
The term "best widget for email" is long-tail.What types of widgets are you selling? Some example modifiers could be
desktop widget
Mail widget
Best mail widget
Best widget for email

Your last sentence is kind of throwing me off. Are you saying I should or should not rely on big broad terms? Do you have suggestions for other modifiers?

To add, I think you should also not be targeting the term "widget" so generally. "buy" probably isn't the best modifier you could use, or the best use of your time if you have a lengthy list of one word keywords.
I would hope that you are advertising on more keywords than just broad head terms, like "HP" "Windows" "Widget" "Tech" "Money" "word" -- i went a little off topic there, but I'm sure you get the point.
You should rely minimally on big, broad terms like these but instead, target longer 2-4 word phrases more frequently. It will improve your CPC and overall ROI.

The phrase of "widget" should pull your ad for "buy widget," so it really isn't necessary. However, if you create a new ad group for "buy widget" you can control the budget for these specific keywords.
Remember, 30 KWs per ad group is best practice.

If you see alot of impr for the keyword "buy keyword" after you run it on phrase etc i would make a new agroup for buy with the buy keywords with ads focused on that intent. This will allow you to bid on them separately and talk to what they are looking for better then a broad or phrase.

Special Characters in Negative Keywords in Ads
Howdy, fellow mozzers, I came across this weird suggestion in my Bing account (screenshot link: https://dmitrii-regexseo.tinytake.com/tt/NDY3OTc5NF8xNDgyMzY4OA) It almost that the dollar sign in the negative keyword is acting like a wildcard character, or being disregarded completely. I did some tests, it seems that in Google Ads that is not happening. Does anyone have an idea if this is normal behavior? I have never seen this before.

Adwords Ad disapproved - Banned product on Site (glutamine)?
We are starting to get ads disapproved. One yesterday, one today. The reason - banned supplement 'glutamine'. Neither of these ads were for glutamine so I assume it's because l-glutamine is sold on the site. The actual ad for l-glutamine landing on the l-glutamine page has not been disapproved? In 2012 Google informed us the glutamine was no longer on the banned list so I'm not sure what's going on here? Has anyone had a similar experience? Is there a solution apart from removing the product entirely?

Adwords Express Placement and Explanation
I spoke with the adwords express rep about this, and he was extremely vague and unhelpful. So, I'd appreciate some assistance...even though it's a lot of questions. Whatever insights you can share to any portion of this, i would greatly appreciate. We setup an adwords express account, and we set our budget $50 over what Adwodrds Express says was our competitors average range. However, our ads only show up on the bottom right side of page 2. We are trying to figure out why that is? Are adwords express accounts only placed on the lower tier of PPC by definition? Will they always be on the bottom of a sidebar on the second page? Does it depend on how much we are willing to pay a month? So, if we double what we are willing to pay per month, will the ad move up? Also, it's not clear to me at all, how much we are being charged per click or how we are being billed. How are they determining what each click costs? Happy Friday and thanks in advance, Ruben

Adding Coremetrics Tags with Google Adwords

Locate Poorly Trending Keywords in AdWords
At the campaign level I see my CTR has been suffering for the last week or two relative to the past few months. It could be a few bad actors casing the downward trend. How can I quickly and easily locate specific keywords that are trending in the wrong direction? Why filters will not work... They don't take change into account. I want to identify Keywords that were once doing well are now doing poorly. Filters will yield all keywords that are doing poorly which is not what I'm looking for. Obviously I could be missing something with filters but this is my understanding. A few other points to note... I have search partners turned on. I do not want to take this traffic into account in my analysis. I'd also like to determine if it might be an ad that's not performing as well as it once was. I assume the same method used to find poorly trending keywords can be applied to ads as well but if not, is there a solution for this?

Adwords campaign and adgroup ideas
When it comes to SEO, I can do that. When it comes to adwords I tend to scratch my head. No idea why, I just do. Anyways I want to get some ideas of how I can setup a killer campaign and structure it and target relevant keywords. Here is my description of my business We are a private christian school providing preschool, elementary and highschool. We are located in Henderson, NV but service Las Vegas, NV as well. We have some of the highest scores and accolades in Nevada so we pride ourselves with those and feel we should target that. So far when it comes to structure I have come up with this setup Campaigns Henderson adgroups Preschool Top Keywords preschool Example Keywords preschools in henderson, nv preschools in henderson nevada preschool henderson nv preschool henderson nevada top rated Example Keywords top rated preschools in henderson nv top rates preschools in henderson nevada best Example Keywords best preschool in henderson nv best preschool in henderson nevada Elementary Top Keywords private school Example Keywords Elementary private schools in henderson nv Elementary private schools in henderson nevada Elementary private school in henderson nv Elementary private school in henderson nevada top rated Example Keywords top rated elementary private school in henderson nv top rated elementary private school in henderson nevada best Example Keywords best elementary private school in henderson nv High School Top Keywords private school top rated best Las Vegas adgroups Preschool Elementary High School I didn't finish the rest because you should get the point. I don't know if these are exact keywords, I just know that private school, top rated and best tend to be what people type. Then each adgroup will get a relevant ad pertaining to those keywords. Bad Adwords Leads and B2B Placement Ideas
Hello, I have two PPC related questions that hopefully someone could help with. My client complains that the majority of leads he is getting are disqualified - mainly due to fake contact info left on the landing page. This happens both in the Display and Search campaigns. We are getting a good number of leads and we checked with Google that there is no fraud involved. What can be done about this? Has anyone encountered that kind of complaint and how did you deal with it? Can you recommend any tools, other than Google's Ad Planner to find good placements for a display campaign? Another client of mine is selling B2B services such as document destruction etc. Where can I find, for example, a list of placements frequented by people from the insurance business? I never had a problem finding placements for B2C but B2B seems to be a lot different. Any insight will be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Michal
