How do you find a UK PR websites?
-
I am trying to find PR websites for UK , I have only a few. When i search on Google, mainly agencies offer Press Release services comes up.
I was wondering if you guys can guide where i could find more PR websites?
Thanks

Thanks Luke, this is very helpful

Yes, shape the news release for a niche of journos/writers and pitch your news to them, or just target one individual at a time. Build media lists and build up long-term links with the journos/writers. There are lots of resources on the web about how to write the perfect news release. One of the best PR books out there is PR Power by Amanda Barry.

Thanks Luke,
So i should content to writers individually and ask them if they would be interested in publishing my news?

Hi Sida. I'm a PR bloke. Why would you want to publish PR content on 7,000 websites in a week? There could be a problem If there are backlinks to your client from those websites, especially if they're spammy, low-quality websites.
Good PR is about sending newsworthy stories through to journos and other writers, who will pick up on the stories and publish them. It isn't about placing news releases on thousands of websites.

Hi all,
I don't want to ask repetitive questions but I am still unclear with how to handle online PR .
PR agencies are publishing content to 5k-7k online PR websites and it is very hard to change the content for each website (almost impossible) or if we attend to change the content by the time we change it, the subject will be old and it wont be an interesting news for the late publishes.
If we publish one PR content on 7k websites in a week, would it be a problem or not?
Thanks

Thank you, i'll give them a call

Thank you

I've found that PRNewswire, PRWeb and BusinessWire have a good reach to UK websites for press releases.
PRWeb doesn't offer a specific UK service, but it is sometimes picked up by the UK sites and press anyway. PRNewswire and BusinessWire offer more targeting to the UK demographic, although it comes at a higher price.
Because of this price, always remember to use press releases when you have something to announce and can be confident that your press release will resonate with an audience and hopefully lead to traffic and conversions. Don't just do it for the SEO benefit. Evidence suggests press releases to benefit in SEO, but I wouldn't rely on it solely and there's a chance that the link effect may be devalued over time.
Hope this helps.

Are you using PR websites to spread news or build links? If its the latter then don't waste your time. If its the former then you're better off finding bloggers that regularly talk about your company's services and send the PR to them (and tailor to their audience if necessary). Read this post http://www.seroundtable.com/google-press-release-links-16136.html which should tell you all you need to know about PR's.

What happens to your domain authority if you are forced to change your website name?
Out of curiosity if for legal reason you or a client were forced to change their domain name, what happens to all of your domain authority once you lose the old domain? While you still own the domain you can easily redirect any old links to your new website, but what happens if you no longer own that domain and someone else purchases it? Do they steal all of your domain authority? Or is it possible to keep those old links pointing toward your website?

Is it better to develop a good keyword I found on a new page on an established website or make a new site?
So I found a keyword that I want to go after, it gets over 30k searches a month, has a 100% CTR and has a difficulty of 42. Now my question is would it be better to build a page on our already established site (DA of 46) since the site and keyword are both related. Or would it be better to get a domain of that keyword and build a small site about it? The .com is taken but I could get a .co or .us just not sure if its worth making a new site or if I should just build a page on my current site about it.

Is it a good practice to submit a page linking to my site to expedite google finding the link or is it better to wait for the google spider to find it? Thanks, Ron!

Website design by... links. Worth it?
Hi all, Agency SEO here. Finally getting around to doing some work on our own site and had a thought. Any agency SEOs out there including "Website design by xyz" links in client website footers? (Only with client permission, of course.) We have a solid variety of clients and have tons of web work for them. Any agency SEOs want to speak to this? Any thoughts appreciated. James

Do subdomains (eg .blogspot.com) carry the same link juice as a .com or .co.uk?
Hi guys. Just wondered what people's thoughts were on the value of a link from a subdomain vs a .com or .co.uk - I have several clients operating within the UK crafts sector, and there are a huge number of blogspot blogs with decent PR etc. Given that anyone can start one of these for free (and therefore theoretically get themselves hundreds of bogus links), I wonder whether they carry the same value as an independent site. I'll look forward to hearing everyone's thoughts 🙂

Link Acquisition - PA vs PR
I am wondering if someone can please advise on link acquisition. I have the opportunity to acquire a few good backlinks that will bring both traffic and some potential link juice. All things aside, if we are strictly comparing Page Authority with Google PageRank which will provide the most benefit to my SERP ranking? 1. Google PageRank 4 and Page Authority of 25 or 2. Google PageRank 2 and Page Authority of 35 We are strictly talking about SERPs!
