Google analytics - landing pages

Hello, I have a website and it contains landing pages.
after tracking and analyzing the data in Google Analytics , I found out that the traffic for the whole site is affected by the visits to the landing page.
I mean, the bounce rate is less than one minute. this is because users fill their details in the landing pages and leave my website.
to improve my website, I need clear data about the traffic, bounce rate etc. in my website. I also need

- I thought about create another account in Google Analytics and set it to my websites pages (not including the landing pages). and keep the current code for the landing pages.
my question is regarding this: Is it legal to use 2 different GA code (each one of them belong to different account) in the same domain ?
- can you provide me with more information about Multi Account in Google Analytics, and how can I use it to divide the traffic in my website between the traffic and the data for the landing pages and for the website itself ?

you will just have to pay around the the include and exclude filters to get the results you want. If you could "mark" your landing page commonly that you can then exclude them filters eg a string of text or something, You will just have to have a good think about it

I created a segment in my Google Analytics account to show data without the visits to the landing pages.
when I checked which URL google analytics excludes I saw some pages that are not "Landing Pages" like the pages for another language www.domain.com/fra also "contact us","Agreement","Log in page", "Create Account" in addition to many pages that are not Landing pages.My question is: is there any way to remove these pages from the Landing Pages group that google analytics created ?
- Can I edit this group and remove pages that are not Landing pages so I get clear data ?

How can i create an absolute separation from the traffic I get to the landing pages and to my site? I just want to split the data to 2 sections:
1. Data only about the visitors in my site
2. Data only about the visitors in my landing pages.
I remind you guys that unfortunately in this time I have the same tacking ID in my landing pages and in my main site.
My goal is to separate the data and get clear data about each one of the visits to the landing pages and to the vists to my website.It’s not better to move the landing pages to subdomain and create a new google analytics code for them?

I'm not sure there's a penalty for using 2 lots of code but there's no need to as Paddy says.
The only time I have used two lots of code is when a third party has set up Analytics and can't or won't hand Admin rights over so the two codes were used so that the website owner could start to collects their own data without losing the historical third party stats.

don't put the 2 different analytics codes on your page!
What you can do is use segments or profile filters (you can have multi profile for one site) to split your data up

How is Google Analytics defining page depth?
We run two websites and as part of our KPIs we are treating those who visit 3 or more pages of our website as a client served. As a digital team we are not convinced that this is the best metric to use as the improvements we are making to the sites mean that people are able to find the information quicker. Additionally other organisations including forums etc link to us so those users will get the info they need in one click. What I would like to know is how Google calculates page depth in GA. Are they treating the landing page as ground zero and then when users clicks a link they go one page deep? Or is the landing page, page depth 1 . Is page depth a measure of how many clicks a user needs to find their information?

Google Analytics SEO Queries Not Showing
Hi All, This might be a silly question, but for all the properties I monitor in Google Analytics, I'm now showing no data for SEO Queries under Acquisition for the past 6 days. Normally I would expect a few day delay in queries, but nothing for 6 days is somewhat peculiar especially as it was functioning fine prior to November 12th. Buongiorno from 14 degrees C cloudy wetherby UK 🙂 With a whole gamut of books out there are written around the topic of "Actionable Web analytics" where you have to wade through chapters of how to suck eggs and how to get analytics part of your business culture (whatever! most clients who look after their websites are entry level Marketing Execs who pay the digital agencies to do the thinking for them) I'd like to cut to the chase and list out say a top 5 of actionable insights a client would actually give the time of day for so heres my top five, whats yours? 1. Hi I have GA installed, whaen I try to use Inpage Analytics, I get this message: We've identified problems in your setup. These may cause problems loading In-Page Analytics. Error: The Website in your settings (http://www.tvorba-logo-firmy.sk) redirects into a different domain. (http://tvorba-logo-firmy.sk). In-Page Analytics currently works on only one domain. Note that www.example.com and example.com are NOT considered to be on the same domain. Also, make sure you're not redirecting from http:// to https:// or vice versa My website is running on wordpress. Thanks for help.

Hey, How do shortened links show up in GA? So if I tweet about something and use bitly, does twitter get the referral? I am thinking not. I have never seen bitly show up as a referrer, but we gets lots of clicks from those links. Hmmmm. Anyone? E

Tracking Referring Sources - Google Analytics - Ecommerce
I need some help from anyone that has deal with this issue before.. We are currently running BigCommerce for the shopping cart on chinamist.com. We have enabled e-commerce tracking through Google Analytics and the revenue tracks perfectly. The only issue is that the referring sources are not tracking directly to the revenue being displayed - for the source, all analytics shows is (none). The assumption is that the tracking issue is a result of having a domain and subdomain.. but 'domain and subdomain' was selected when setting up the sites' advanced analytics script. Does anyone have any tips? We've run into a dead end here.. One final note, we're running an Adwords campaign which is showing conversions through the Adwords side of reporting. After integrating the Adwords and Analytics accounts, the analaytics account is still not showing revenue/conversions from Adwords as a source. Appreciate the feedback.
