Need to know alternate ways to promote a Weekly Campaign
-
Hi Everyone,
I first thank for all people who read this post and offer to help me..
1. My client is going to start a weekly campaign starting from tomorrow its a online flower delivery company
2. They have already setup the Google ad words for it but he wanted to know is there any other way he can bring visitors to this campaign.
3. I have setup email blasting apart from this anything you people can suggest and little explanation too.

Your Suggestions really started the ball rolling
Looking for some more options people

You have a lot of options actually
1. Start with your most basic ones, which are social platforms. Advertise, promote, SEO, reach out. This gets the ball rolling quick for new sites with a competitive niche like this
2. Content creation and marketing - create an infographic, start an epic storyline post or whatever that your target market would like. Segment them first. For example, there's a good chance someone looking for the service is dating someone. Why not create a content piece about the best ways to impress a girl he's dating with things he can do along with a "surprise" flower delivery.
3. Promotion and contests - maybe you can do a weekly special, like customising certain products for the receiver.
4. the usual SEO - this is probably the longest in terms of ROI but it's the most important long term.
There a lot more you can do which is limited to your imagination and budget. I know other mozers here have other creative or traditional things in their mind that will also help a lot.

Is there a way to rel = canonical only part of a page?
Hi guys: I'm doing SEO for a boat accessories store, and for instance they have marine AC systems, many of them, and while the part number, number of BTUs, voltage, and accessories change on some models, the description stays exactly the same across the board on many of them...people often search on Google by model number, and I worry that if I put rel = canonical, then the result for that specific model they're looking for won't come up, just the one that everything is being redirected to. (and people do this much more than entering a site nowadays and searching by product model, it's easier). Excuse my ignorance on this stuff, I'm good with link building and content creation, but the behind-the-scenes aspects... not so much: Can I "rel=canonical" only part of the page of the repeat models (the long description)? so people can still search by model number, and reach the model they are looking for? Am I misunderstanding something here about rel=canonical (Interesting thing, I rank very high for these pages with tons of repeat descriptions, number one in many places... but wonder if google attributes a sort of "across the site" penalty for the repeated content... but wouldn't ranking number 1 for these pages mean nothing's wrong?. Thanks)

I was wondering, do you know when you see updated results for a sporting event in the google search.

Alternative HTML Structure for indexation of JavaScript Single Page Content
Hi there, we are currently setting up a pure html version for Bots on our site amazine.com so the content as well as navigation will be fully indexed by google. We will show google exactly the same content the user sees (except for the fancy JS effects). So all bots get pure html and real users see the JS based version. My questions are first, if everyone agrees that this is the way to go or if there are alternatives to this to get the content indexed. Are there best practices? All JS-based websites must have this problem, so I am hoping someone can share their experience. The second question regards the optimal number of content pieces ('Stories') displayed per page and the best method to paginate. Should we display e.g. 10 stories and use ?offset in the URL or display 100 stories to google per page and maybe use rel=”next”/"pref" instead. Generally, I would really appreciate any pointers and experiences from you guys as we haven't done this sort of thing before! Cheers, Frank

Where to learn how best to promote content?
So now I created some really good content (with help of Egol and Peter here on moz.com) and now I need to promote it. To get it in front of authoritative sites so they hopefully will write about and link to it. I erroneously figured it would be fairly easy. I contacted two writers of a high level industry blog/magazine that previously had mentioned us in press, sent them an email with an invitation to check it out and please let me know what they thought. NO response. They probably get deluged. Anyway, I can't afford to pay a marketing company to promote it. Where can I learn how to best do this myself? The content isn't going to help anyone if no one sees it.... Thanks for any leads! Ron

Why does it take weeks to gain Moz page authority?
I have noticed in my Google news website, that after publishing a post, it takes around 3-4 weeks till that page gains MOZ page authority I am interested in knowing why it takes this set period of time. Is there a way to shorted that period? And am I correct in thinking that links from a page with MOZ authority of say 33 is more powerful then a link from a page with MOZ page authority of 1? Would be great to understand more about this

Proper way to include Location & Zipcode Keywords
I have a client that is insisting that I add a list of approximately 50 cities and 80 zipcodes that their business serves within the keyword meta tag. Based on what I have been reading this will do absolutely nothing to help improve their search ranking. What would be the proper way today to let inform search engines of the geolocations a business serves?

Are articles still benificial and how best to promote them?
Hello, I'm trying to promote a new site doing things differently moving forward if needed in order to prevent getting google slapped while being as efficient as possible.. We have a main site which manufacturers materials. we also have a blog on blogger.com every week someone in our office writes an article about something related to our area of work and within the article has a varied keyword or two embedded within the article they are writing... My questions are as follows: -1- should be change our blog site address from oursite.blogger.com to blog.oursite.com?
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | Robdob2013
-2- would it be beneficial to have a link from our main site to the oursite.blogger.com
-3- We also have a ezine account, would it be beneficial to also post this same article perhaps with some minor changes to our ezine account so that it would start to get more visibility from other sites or is this now possibly a no no?
-4- should we be now usin nofollow links in our articles? if we do use nofollow links aren't we losing the benefit? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated0
