Best Tools for Keyword Research?

Hi guys,
Please share your best and recommended tools for keyword research.
Thanks in advance.

Long Tail Pro - It's invaluable for finding long tail keywords that have decent search volume with low competition. Simply plug in 4 or 5 keywords and it automatically and instantly retrieves thousands of related keywords from the Google AdWords Keyword Tool. Then you can sort and filter by various criteria, but what is most useful is sorting by competition which uses the SEOmoz Keyword Difficulty API. It's by far my favorite keyword research tool at the moment. http://longtailpro.com/ (the website kinda makes it look like a spammy "Internet Marketer/Get Rich Quick" product but I swear it's legit!)

I completely agree with you.
I keep a close eye on this little details and it does make a difference especially when the industry you are in is a niche.
I found that most of the keywords that drive traffic and sales (also on my PPC campaigns) are completely different from the one I had thought about.
Also when optimizing your content you better use the people you work with and customers as a "keyword tool" you will discover a lot of new possibility and it gives you a better understanding on how people search.

Wholeheartedly agree on that one. You don't hear that often enough and from enough people. May not be as quick as typing a few things into AdWords and hoping for good results but we've found some great terms just by listening to people.

The people who answer the telephone.... the people who work the sales floor....
.... they know the words that new customers use to ask for the items that are sold.

Documenting keyword research results
I really struggle to document my keyword research results in a usable way. I know the strategy for finding keywords but I wonder if there's a spreadsheet template or some guidance on the process that could help me organise things better

Targeted keywords for landing pages but keyword has a lot of synonyms, how is the best way to approach this?
I'm trying to target one page for one broad 2 word keyword, however, because our niche revolves around this keyword and it's synonyms, the keyword is used on every other page, thus creating the issue of non-targeted pages taking the rank instead of targeted page. I've thought of using synonyms on each page, so that no one page uses the same keyword, but felt this could be seen as spammy or could just hurt overall relevancy towards the main keyword, thus a loss of rank. I understand page authority also plays a part, but also seems that every page other than the page I want get's targeted.

Can keyword research be used across different similar sites in different countries?
I am assuming the answer to this question is no but confirmation would help. I have a site in the UK and a site in Spain both on the same topic but different copy and obviously language – therefore I am assuming it is not possible to produce keyword research on the UK site and use the results on the Spanish site?

Target multiple keywords on homepage?
Hello. I've got a situation in which I could use some help. A client is in the business of auto parts for European cars. He is VERY stubborn in wanting his homepage to rank 1st page for a keyword for each car brand, for example: audi autoparts bmw autoparts mercedes benz autoparts jaguar autoparts Basically, 15 keywords (one per brand) in total. How would you guys handle this? I can't seem to find a natural way to optimize a homepage for all these keywords at once. I've suggested landing pages for each brand/keyword, but he won't accept it. Is there anyway to do this or will this be a dispute with my client to convince him about the landing pages idea? Thanks a lot!

Bulk keyword competition tool?
The SEOmoz Keyword Difficulty tool is great, but the 5 keyword limit is too small. I need a tool that will allow checking the organic competition level of 100's of keywords (to help in selecting blog topics). Anyone know of such a tool?
