Our competitor, Gaiam.com is able to get links back from Youtube. How are they doing this?

When I use Open Site Explorer to look at our competitor's link profile, I notice that Gaiam.com is getting lots of valuable links from their videos on Youtube. We have a lot of videos on Youtube as well and are not receiving links back. What is the secret? Our website address is fully shown in the profile and we seem to match them - what are we missing?

EGOL that's one link. You will notice that Gaiam has several keyword-specific links on their YT page under Gaiam Destinations http://www.youtube.com/gaiam
Since I'm the one who put those links there I don't think it's appropriate that I answer the question, but I'll say that it all has to do with which TYPE of YouTube account you have. Not all YouTube accounts are the same. REAL media publishers have some other options that you can play with under Settings.

How does a business have a link back where I can't see the anchor text?
So, I'm running competitor websites through Open Site Explorer and following the link from Moz to where their link is coming from. It has the anchor text 'Christmas Gifts'. When I go to that page there is no mention of this anchor text. No mention of that persons website. No display ad's that could be providing that link. How is this link pointing to their page?

Does the twitter link shortening service reduce link value (strength).
We have many SEO team members that use Twitters link shortening service, will this reduce the strength or value of the page to be indexed? Hi I found out using link campaign and Open site explorer that my competitors where getting links from this page http://www.visitgreece.gr/en/activities/land_sports/golf So I conatc the admins and added our golf courses too Is the dunes and the bay course in the middle of the page But this happened 3 weeks ago and still this linking domain is not appaering in my campaign why is that any ideas ? does it take so much time to appera to SEOmoz ? Back links not being found
I am working on optimizing a client site that was launched in January of 2011. A number of back links are starting to show up when I do a competitive link analysis, however in Google WMT the only IBLs that are showing up are from the non-www of the domain, even though I have a 301 redirect from danwilson.ca to www.danwilson.ca (and has since the site launched). I also have verified the non-www version with WMT and declared the perfered domain as www.danwilson.ca. Any ideas why the non-www domain links are being shown as inbound links by Google WMT rather than internal links. This likely means the site is getting dinged for duplicate content...
