I have just updated my site and would like to run a crawl immediately. How can I do so before waiting for the next MOZ crawl?
Thanks,

Hey Alan,
Thanks for the question! You can use the crawl test if you are between scheduled crawls, but if you run test within a few days of a scheduled crawl you may end up with cached information. You shouldn't run the crawl test on a regular basis, but its fine to do every once and a while.

I love the screaming frog tool that Matt recommended but we do have a crawl tester here on moz.com
http://pro.moz.com/tools/crawl-test
You can perform the crawl up to twice per day. It will tell you that you'll get results within 24 hours but I've never had it take more then 4 hours for a regular sized site.
Hope this helps.
Darin.

What kind of info are you looking for the crawl to provide? Moz will do a quick crawl and then a detailed crawl within a week. However, there are other things you can use.
EDIT: You can use the Moz tool - http://pro.moz.com/tools/crawl-testOne of the best on the market is Screaming Frog Spider. You can do so many things with it. There is a great post over at SEER Interactive on things to do with it:

Unsolved Moz Pro crawl signaling missing canonical which are not?
Hi,
Moz Pro | | rolandvintners
I'm trying MozPro considering using it.
One of the tool which is appealing is the crawl and insights.
After quick use, I really question many of the alerts, for instance, I got a "missing canonical tag" on this url: https://vintners.co/wine/grawu_gto#2020 but when I check my markup, there's clearly a canonical tag: <link rel="canonical" href="https://vintners.co/wine/grawu_gto"> Anybody can explain?
I asked Moz Pro staff when being onboarded but didn't get an answer...
Honestly, I'm questioning the value of these crawls, or may be I miss something?0 -

Moz Crawl Test: WordPress sites with and without /feed and /trackback entires?
I have multiple WP websites and on some of the websites, on my Moz Crawl test, I see an entry for every blog post but also entries for /feed and /trackback for that single blog post. For example, www...com/someArticle www....com/someArticle/feed www...com/someArticle/trackback 1. Can anyone explain why the Crawl test is picking up the /feed and /trackback items? Is it simply because they are 301 redirects to the original post (www...com/someArticle)? 2. What setting(s) in WordPress are making this information appear? Or is it just that the site(s) that have the /feed and /trackback are displaying "normal" behavior for a WP site with a lot of trackbacks and feed entires? 3. Should /fee and /trackback, as well as /author be blocked in robots.txt? Thanks in advance for your advice and input!

Moz vs google data conflict?
Hi there, I am doing an SEO site audit for a client(giveaway, and here is the problem: when performing site:domain.com on google --> 13,800 pages were found When I see this number it seems to be a bit too much compare to the links i checked on integrity(link check for broken links) which gave me a result of 1291. I digged in more into the Google results and saw hundreds(maybe thousands) of pages that are blocked by robots.txt. So I am thinking, ok this is it, thousands of pages can't be crawled by the search engines. Here is the big BUT though, then I check at my moz crawl (see attachment) and no pages are blocked by the SEs, and then look at the dups, only 23 recorded?? Is Moz not crawling properly the 13,800 results that google finds or is this some magical phenomenon happening here? I am really confused here that is why I need some help here! Thank you guys! How to legally run an onsite competition from Facebook?
Hi Guys, I am thinking about running a competition on my website in order to drive traffic to it, however the regulations that govern competitions around FB are convoluted to say the least. I am under the impression that I can advertise the competition on FB by direct them to an external site. Does anyone have any experience with this and can guide me, so I dont burn a well established Social Profile with over 2,200 connections? Thank you for any help you can give me. Kind Regards, Craig
