If I install google Analytics, that can affect my SEO.?
-
I purchased a site that has a lot of Backlinks and when I started to make changes like installing google analytics! i suspect the performance in search engine was getting worst because of that, so I removed.
Now I'm trying MOZ and needs GA, should I install it again??
Maybe it analyces the backlinks and tells google, I don't know, is that possible? -
No, nothing in WMT, I think I just make my site stronger in quality. Tanks to all. I'm working hard on that, Social networks, I added more content to the pages and started a /blog.
-
You'd receive a notification in WMT if it was a manual penalty or an unnatural links warning.
You would not receive a notification if the algorithm changed and lead to a drop in rankings and/or a penalty.
-
Yes, but is there any chance to determine thet?
google WMT didn't send me any advise. Thats why I think the was no penalization or something like that.
-
I agree with David..it seems like the drop was due to the one of the algorithm updates. Did the drop happen at the end of May by any chance? There's no way it is down to installing GA.

The others are right Google analytics can not hurt your SEO; however, what it can do is provide some pretty effective reporting on factors than can hurt/improve your SEO.
More and more SEO is becoming about user experience, things like CTR, Bounce Rate and Time on Site matter as crucial factors in your quality and authority scores in Googles eyes.
Google Analytics will allow you to identify areas of user experience weakness, improve them and increase your ranking in the long term. While many people will tell you it doesn't matter if you have GA it infact can make a huge, and positive difference.

Google Analytics is like a tracking script - which provides user friendly data to webmaster about
-
source of traffic, number of visitors visited, live vistors, keywords etc
-
demographics, time spent, links they click on page, entry page, exit page etc
It can not impact a site in any or either way. Its Google search algorithm trends which may impact the site

If I install google Analytics, that can affect my SEO.?
I don't know. I've never installed it. * tin foil hat *

Your rankings are not being hurt by google analytics they dont look at that - my guess is your changes happened at the same time as googles algorithm updates - you can check it here http://moz.com/google-algorithm-change

Do I need a separate Google Analytics ID for a subdomain on my website?
Hello Everyone, I would like to know if I need a separate Google Analytics ID for a subdomain on my website? I have a sub-domain within my website, and the software for the site on the subdomain is asking for a Google Analytics ID. Should I be using the same Google Analytics ID as the main domain or should I be creating a new Google Analytics profile or ID? Thanks. Ryan

How do you analyze a traffic drop with no historic Google Analytics data?
A client of mine has a large website with multiple sections (shop, forums, articles, etc.) that apparently had a significant reduction in rankings, traffic, and sales in the past. However, historic Google Analytics data is not available for the site, and I'm having troubles identifying anything concrete about the traffic drop, such as when it happened, what pages/sections it happened to, etc. The shop traffic drives most of the revenue, but it's a small number compared to the forums traffic, so it's hard to pick anything out of top-line trends like SEMrush offers. What tools or strategies might help in this situation?

Google Tag Manager chrome plugin to diagnose Analytics issues
Hi I've just used Google Tag Manager chrome plugin to look at possible analytics issues on a clients site and it has reported that its Analytics ID is being tracked twice. 1 is Universal and the other is Universal Asynchronous And when i click the question mark next to the 'Where to Optimise' info in GTM this page is displayed with teh following info highlighted: https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/gajs/asyncMigrationExamples ga.js is a legacy library. If you are starting a new implementation we recommend you use the latest version of this library, analytics.js. For exisiting implementations, learn how to migrate from ga.js to analytics.js. Since both versions seem to be on there surely i dont need to migrate but just delete the old non-asynchronous version ? Or do i need do anything else or additional ? All Best Dan
