Lost with Google services: place, Google +, page, youtube ...?
-
Hello MOoooooooooooooz !
Sorry to add another post on this. But I think most of us agree on the fact that for Google +, Google is not making very good job. Even worst when we know how low is the engagement on this website.
Now I'm facing the following issue: Multi page and accounts through Google services !
One of my customer is playing music. So she has a google + profil and a youtube.
Now we created the same for her website: A google page and then a google place (Google team has been sending hundred of messages and so far has not merge them).
Then I opened a youtube for the Google Page. So i end up with:
- A Google + Profil for her (we use for the authorship)
- A Goole + profil for her website (we use for the SEO)
- A Google place page (we use for maps SEO)
- A youtube account for her (come with gmail)
- A youtube channel for her (easier to promote her job)
- A youtube channel automatically created through the Google + page (2)
What would you do in this case to:
- Get 1 Google page
- Get 1 youtube channel
I would like something easy to use even for youtube download or reviews and sharing. So I do not know which one to keep, etc ...
Hope you can help me as I'm sure many of us faced the same issue.

Hello !
Tks for your return. I was thinking the same to separate both personal and professional accounts. My concern was to make something easy for people to use.
I was also bit lost between the personnel channel and the Google page channel.
I gonna try to close all the one not in used.
Best regards

Hi there,
If you get no response from Google to merge the accounts, consider creating definitions for the two different pages.
• One Personal account for Youtube, email, Google+ (socially)
• One work account to manage her music. As recommended below, the pre-existing account should become a work account. Particularly in the music industry as I understand how difficult this is to get a foothold in.
So separating your 6 points, 1, 4 can be used personally. 2, 3 and 5 should be used for work.
Is point #6 even required to be updated at all then? Can it just be left blank leaving less work overall?
Hope I can provide some insight and best of luck!

You would need to consider in this case, which Google+ page and YouTube channel to use. I don't think you would be able to merge them together, but you would be able to choose which YouTube channel you would like to link with your Google+ page.
If your client is a singer, it would be better to be using the YouTube account that she is currently uploading her videos to and linking it to the Google+ page. If she has not uploaded any videos, then using the channel automatically created through the Google+ page would save you some trouble.
As for the Google+ page, you should be using the one tied to the website. Authorship won't be that important for your client unless she is planning on writing content regularly. Using the one that is already optimised for SEO would be the wiser choice.
My 2 cents worth!

Trying to link a Legacy Youtube account to a Google+ Page, the option isn't available...
Hello,
Social Media | | allstatetransmission
I am working on one of my clients projects and would love some advice before making some changes to their Google+ and Youtube account. We created the youtube account before Google+ and Youtube combined so we have a seperate name for the Youtube and Google+ Profile. They were created using separate emails, but both emails are managers of each others "account." We can't combine the two as it won't give me the option, only the option to create a new Youtube channel based on the Google+ Profile. But I already have videos loaded up on the Older Channel that I would like to keep and use for my current Google+ Profile. I have tried to disconnect the Youtube channel to hopefully get the option to link the two, but it just says it is a unavailable option. So my question is:
What advice do you guys have with any of this type of Youtube and Google+ mismatch profile/channels? I am not finding much online besides links to unattaching accounts but that is giving me a message saying that it isn't possible. Or would creating a new channel linked to the Google+ page and just reuploading the videos/transcripts be my best bet? Thank you for your feedback, and if you want anymore details (I know this description when not looking at the accounts might not be enough info, feel free to ask.) I really appreciate it. J0 -

Doctors in a Hospital - Setup Google Local or Google+ Profiles?
Hello - I've been running this over for awhile - so I'm curious to see what the community says about it. I'm working with a client who would like to brand the doctors in their hospitals. Many of them do have recognition already - and their associated locations have profiles. Google Local semi-recently said it's OK to brand Dr's names - even if they exist within a single location. So, my question is - is it better to go the Google Local route and create the Local/+ page for them, or to go through the Google+/Google Brand Pages route and create them that way? If each doctor were to decide, individually, to post on their page - would that be possible with the Places route (I don't think so, based on what I've seen)? Also, if a doctor already has a personal Google+ page - would it make sense to just create the additional brand page as well through this interface? Well either of these methods achieve optimal visibility as well as the option to post should they decide to go that route? What it boils down to - is this is a task we can perform from the outside, or is it best handled by giving the doctors best practice for setting up their personal Google+ pages and associated Brand Pages themselves? Thanks for any insight you can provide!

What could Google+ do for your SEO?
If your a Google+ wizard and do everything right, so optimise your profile, pick up 1000's of followers, followers engage with your posts by adding a comment or a plus, followers are even going to your website and sharing content using the Google plus button etc. What kind of effect would this have on your SEO? Would this kind of activity improve your Auth? Side question: Forget the above, what movement would you expect if one of your pages received 1000 plus's from real users, would you expect to see a jump in SERP's I know every website is different, im just looking to see what I could expect if the work was put in to achieve the above.

Are there any proven SEO benefits of presence and popularity on Facebook, just as there is supposedly benefit from Google+?
How much does visibility on Facebook (or for that matter, Twitter) impact search engine results? I did see a post recently on SEOMoz recently related to that--- but do others have similar experience/ have data to show strong correlation between FB shares/ Likes and search engine results (on Google)? The second, FB-related question is: what are your thoughts on the effectiveness of Facebook for a B2B audience, particularly in a rather niche sector - let's say industrial products? Look forward to your views and answers! Thanks.
