Keyword Research Help
-
Hi all,
My website is www.bruadair.com which is a luxury 7 bedroom villa in Barbados primary suited for large groups and weddings , using googles adword keyword tool i have been trying to establish some long tail keywords that i could include in my website. However i am finding it extremely difficult to find any long tail keywords (such as: Luxury 7 bedroom Villa Barbados ) that are receiving any local or global searches, it seems that there are only extremely competitive keywords receiving traffic.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how i can find effective keywords? With this type of website is it really as likely to be able to rank high due to the pure amount of keyword competition?
I would really appreciate any help given as i am really struggling with my keyword research
Thank you very much!!

I take a - to mean zilch...at least not enough to show up on Googles radar. If the results are low you'll typically get a "less than" sign with the number 10.
Remember you can specify when entering the keywords if you want broad, phrase or exact match results.
I much prefer the old keyword tool that suggested keyword ideas with the match type already showing.
It's like Google decided to curb how much free stuff they give us and are shoving us in the direction of PPC.

Thanks i really appreciate the help! :)If i see a - in monthly searches in the keyword planner should i assume that the keyword is not worth using?
I am aware that statistics generated on searches are not 100% accurate but would those keywords be generating any traffic per month?thanks again -
Have you tried using ubersuggest: http://ubersuggest.org/.
The keyword "barbados villa" produced a lot of possibilities. Save all the relevant results in a txt file and check them out in the Keyword Planner.

Where to use which keywords...
After doing keyword research and coming up with a list of keywords/phrases that I'd like to optimise a specific page for (an additional page to an existing website), I get confused about WHERE to use which keywords. For example, choosing between two keywords like home insurance and specialist home insurance. Let's say home insurance is more searched than the other, and but is more difficult to rank for, and specialist home insurance is less searched but easier to rank for. Firstly, which one should I use as my "main keyword" and secondly, what benefit does the other keyword(s) then have on the rest of the page, and were do I use them? I hope this makes sense. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Exact Long Tail Keyword Wording?
Hi everyone! I'm currently doing long tail keyword research and I'm coming across keywords such as deer wall print for nursery for the main keyword "deer wall print" which doesn't really incorporate too well into a into a grammatically correct paragraph. Can I use something like **deer wall print for your nursery **or deer wall print is perfect for in a nursery? Does it have to be exact reproduction if I am trying to rank for a long tail keyword term/phrase?

Keyword tracking- Local
Silly question about Local ranking monitors. If I have a local client in Pheonix, AZ and I want to track rankings for keywords. Is it best to monitor city+keyword or just keyword? I have ran tests with multiple clients and locations, and cannot ascertain the difference- as far as rankings go. I appreciate all input.

What is the time frame for the search volume on a Keyword?
Let's say I search for AP automation and the search volume comes back as 210, where did that number come from? Is this how many searches by day, by week, year to date, etc.?

Optimizing for two nearly identical keywords.
Hi Mozzers, So in one of my campaigns I'm trying to optimize for "Personal Trainer Minneapolis" and "Minneapolis Personal Trainer". Would the best tactic be: Develop and optimize two pages. One for each of these similar keywords. (Clearly not the best UX). or Try to optimize a single page for both. Thanks for your thoughts!
