Using the same landing page for seo and ppc
-
When does it make sense to create one landing page for both seo and ppc?
-
I think it makes sense to do this when using the PPC channel in order to test out page design, layout, keywords, etc... However, once you find a better-converting page for PPC you should also test it out on organic traffic. Assuming you can continue to rank well for your top keywords and the page converts organic visitors better it is best to send PPC traffic to an organic page due to the quality score issue described by Ron.
Plenty of businesses have separate landing pages for their PPC traffic though. As much as I would like to say that having a high-converting page is best for both, the truth is that sometimes the highest converting page is not at all SEO-friendly in terms of content (e.g. one image and a big fat CTA button). You can often meet in the middle by incorporating drop-down content divs, jquery sliders, etc... but not in all cases. -
According to my understanding, You should have two separate pages as you can track conversions better. Pls correct me if i am wrong.
Thanks

I also like to think that a page should be designed to convert whether it's a landing page or a normal webpage on the same subject!

Nathan,
I would always recommend this. This techniques gives you a higher quality score on pay per click while indexing on search. As you build out your content and links your performance will get better and better. This is also a good format for running software like Optimizely for conversion optimization.

How much website would be worth for SEO?
I have a website that I'm considering selling. It gives no profit, but I think it has decent SEO value. Link explorer report: domain authority = 69, linking domains: 9.8k, inbound links: 44.2m, ranking keywords: 294. Is that any good? Website is about web design, so keywords are also related to it. Would it be useful for SEO links building for other people? I did sell similar website once, but it was about 7-8 years ago and I've sold it for very high 5 digit amount. However things have changed since then in SEO world, so I don't know if today similar website would be worth much. There is so much information out there that contradicts each other, so I think I'd rather ask professionals here.

What other stuff i can do to improve\extend the campaign ? Any tips are more then welcome!0 -

PPC strategies in a competitive ecommerce market
Hello, What's the top 5 things to keep in mind when doing PPC in a competitive ecommerce market? Our competitors are buying PPC leads based on gathering long term customers that only have to get bought once and then they are repeat customers with no more cost. Thus, PPC cost is through the roof in this niche. Anyways, what's the top 5 pieces of advice you would give and you're also welcome to reference any good or harder to find references for me to read or watch. Thank you, Bob

Google Adwords Conversion Tracking - Recording Wrong Page
Hi Guys I have a problem with my Google Adwords conversion tracking. Basically whenever I check to see which page it is recording, it shows me the incorrect one. Now I probably checked a thousand time now and the conversion tracking code is not on this specific page, but is on the one that I really want to track. I have also checked that the code is correct and that there is nothing missing. But strangely enough when I look at historical data, it does show that is was tracking conversions on the correct page, but for some reason the past couple of weeks it's reporting conversions from another page, which is the incorrect one. If somebody could please give me some insight as to what could maybe be the cause of this, I would appreciate it. Thank You Dave

Starting Out With PPC, Need Some Advice
We are starting out with PPC for our site. I wanted to know what the best starting point is for our site. First, some basic info: We sell thousands of products from a large number of manufacturers We can offer the same prices as competitors, but we can't beat their prices Here are my questions: What would be my USP if my prices are the same, and we have the same store policies as competitors? Is it best to start with product pages (as opposed to keywords)? Meaning, setting up a feed via MC and connecting to our adwords account. Any advice is appreciated 🙂

Is ppc becoming more influential than organic search with consumers?
Simply put, are consumers clicking on ppc in lieu of organic search. In the past, people use to say that ppc accounted between 30-40% of traffic with organic accounting for majority of activity. My question is whether those numbers have changed, and if so, where are we now? A friend in Boston in does SEO, remarked that many of her 'sophisticated' friends didn't know the difference between ppc and organic. Seems odd, but with the move to place ppc results from the right hand sidebar to the top left hand column, certainly gives it more presence and makes the separation between ppc vs. organic less distinct. I certainly understand the value of doing both, but depending on the answer, it begs the question... is the expense of moving up a position or two in organic worth the effort and monies, if ppc is becoming the dominant raffic tdriver? Anybody have any recent statistics on ppc vs. organic? Thanks.

Google PPC Management
Okay, so I have a client who wants me to manage their ppc on Google. It seems like either they give me access to their PPC account or I manage it via my own account and pre-bill for the cost, later supplying reports. Are those the two options? Thanks...MJ
