How to implement products in facebook to generate maximum traffic to site and facebook profile page?
-
Lets take the example of a hotel reservation site offering 500 hotels.
Any suggestions on how to present the 500 hotels within their facebook page so that they generate maximum traffic and interaction? No intention to offer checkout on facebook.
E.g. adding image of each hotel in the photo album with link to website and some information about hotel.
Any ideas? Any good posts or articles on the topic?

I'm not sure I get what you are asking. You mention products but also mention hotels. Can you share exactly the issue you are facing?
Facebook is not meant for just loading products or hotel locations. It's more about sharing things they are doing over time or having a facebook page for each hotel location.
But if you are talking products, take a look at what ModCloth does. They mention their products in really interesting ways that drives traffic to those pages.

If I were you, I would certainly consider using image posts to generate maximum traffic. Image posts have been proven to generate more engagement than average posts in a study by Hubspot. In the case of a hotel reservation site, an attractive photo of the hotel would certainly catch the attention of people looking for accommodation for their travels.
Instead of uploading photos and descriptions of all 500 hotels at once, you should space out your posts. Featuring 1 or 2 hotels per day would be a good start. This way, you would have enough content to last you for several months and generating a constant stream of content will keep visitors coming back for more.
On top of image posts, you can also consider sharing thoughts and links to travel-related topics (eg. luxury travel since people booking hotels tend to have higher travel budgets). Giving offers for particular hotels or holding contests would also generate more engagement amongst your followers, since people are naturally attracted to deals and discounts.
Hope that helps!

Doctors in a Hospital - Setup Google Local or Google+ Profiles?
Hello - I've been running this over for awhile - so I'm curious to see what the community says about it. I'm working with a client who would like to brand the doctors in their hospitals. Many of them do have recognition already - and their associated locations have profiles. Google Local semi-recently said it's OK to brand Dr's names - even if they exist within a single location. So, my question is - is it better to go the Google Local route and create the Local/+ page for them, or to go through the Google+/Google Brand Pages route and create them that way? If each doctor were to decide, individually, to post on their page - would that be possible with the Places route (I don't think so, based on what I've seen)? Also, if a doctor already has a personal Google+ page - would it make sense to just create the additional brand page as well through this interface? Well either of these methods achieve optimal visibility as well as the option to post should they decide to go that route? What it boils down to - is this is a task we can perform from the outside, or is it best handled by giving the doctors best practice for setting up their personal Google+ pages and associated Brand Pages themselves? Thanks for any insight you can provide!

Best Social Sharing Platform for B2b sites
Guess that title of the question says it all. What is the best social platform for dull b2b sites? The kind of content that you wouldn't want to share with your friends and family.... Not that type of content before anyone gets the wrong idea 🙂

Best option for Facebook Page/Usernames?
Hey guys My first post here! currently trialling seomoz and impressed so far 🙂 My question relates to a choice of Facebook page/username for a client whose preference is to refer to their online business name by the domain name, where this business name includes his two most important keywords. So as an example: firstsecondthird.co.uk Now in terms of seo that's fine as search engines factor in keywords in the domain name, and even referring to domain name in website copy does not seem to pose too many issues. However on Facebook I've noticed that if we go with page name of: FirstSecondThird (obsiously we can't add .co.uk - I've used camel case for readability) then when using the facebook search the page does NOT get listed for any of the keywords as it appears it only matches on whole strings. So I'm going to recommend that he changes Faceook page name to First Second Third (with spaces) even though client does not really like this option. Do you guys think that makes sense? Also if I do make that change should I also go with fixed Username of First-Second-Third i.e. with hyphens or stick with one long string i.e. FirstSecondThird, which matches the domain name? Any advice appreciated. PS hope this is under right topic- several others seemed applicable Thanks

Merge Facebook profiles for SEO?
We are considering merging facebook profiles for our three stores. If we do this, users will not be able to "check in" at a location, but wouldn't it be better to have 4,000 fans on one profile than to have 2,500, 1,000, and 500 fans on the three profiles? The main site for these stores is also an ecommerce site.

What's more important? Facebook fans, or likes?
Until now, I've been focusing on getting Facebook likes for my site, and amassed quite a lot. However it felt like I was missing an opportunity by not connecting directly to my audience. So I created a Facebook page which my site visitors can like. But this means having to promote two different things: a "facebook like" for my site, and a "facebook like" for my facebook page, which seems silly. So, I was wondering if: there is a way to combine the likes of my site to the likes of my FB page? Or a way for a visitor to like both through a single click? what's more important to Google: FB-likes to your site, or to your FB-page? Thank you!
