I want your opinion?
-
I have two types of landing pages for our site. I want your opinion as a general user "which one would you prefer?" (basically, where would you feel comfortable to leave your details) and why?
-
#1 As it is more descriptive. However keep in mind what Google doesn't want according to Matt Cutts, he says keep it short and sweet:
“If you have got a three, four or five words in your URL, that can be perfectly normal. As it gets a little longer, then it starts to look a little worse. Now, our algorithms typically will just weight those words less and just not give you as much credit.
“The thing to be aware of is, ask yourself: ‘How does this look to a regular user?’ – because if, at any time, somebody comes to your page or, maybe, a competitor does a search and finds 15 words all strung together like variants of the same word, then that does look like spam, and they often will send a spam report. Then somebody will go” and check that out.

I like the first one. That being said I would recommend that you use an AB/multivariate testing tool like Optimizely to measure and test which landing page is better for conversions.

Thank you Tuzzell for your good analysis.
-
A second one you may want to check out (Think its free, forget) is Concept Feedback.
-
Hi Tuzzell,
Yes my bad I did type the wrong number, I've fixed that now. Its what I get for opening them in tabs!
Number 1!
Thanks

I'm with number 1 also. The less information required, the better

1.
Same reason as Chris although i think he put the wrong number down from your list I also like the need help telephone number as to me signals you’re a legitimate company with contact details and acts a clear trust signal as well as user resource. Although I prefer the URL structure of 2 but that’s only from a personal preference of not liking the question format. You actually have more Keyword targeting in the one you’re using.
Title wise – I think 5 things you need to know rather than everything you need to know works better. People like short concise lists, more chance I’m going to read it.
-
I would say 1.
Personally I would be less likely to give information like my full name and phone number than just my email address.
-
1.
Because people want to leave less information and parting with an email is easier than more information.

Should our rebranded company update our existing Instagram profile or delete it and start from scratch?
Our company just did a complete rebrand with a new name and logo. Instagram allows us to change our name, username, logo, and information, unlike Facebook, but there isn't a lot of online content about whether or not that's the best route. Any thoughts?

Opinions For Getting Worthwhile Links For Longevity
Hi Everyone, I have just joined the Moz community and have been reading through a lot of content. I have a question and I would like to put it out to all of the professional digital marketers here to hear their take on it. Basically I work for a construction company that has developed a way to build extensions to houses which is environmentally friendly and cost effective. Obviously the house extensions market is pretty competitive and I need to work out how I can make headway into the market for the digital marketing side of things. The website is still under construction and I am having it built in order to will viewers to enter their contact details for more information as well as provide lots of useful content that show why the product will be more cost effective than say a standard timer frame constructed house extension. We are having some professional videos made as well so we can set up a YouTube channel and this will be clearly visible on the website as well. What I would like advice on is how would you start to build quality links to a site like this. We are not going for just local trade but more national (UK). The main thing is that we have longevity and I know it wont happen very quickly but I want to ensure that we do things the right way. Thanks Barry

1 Website, 2 Business Names, 2 Locations
I took on a dentist office as an SEO client. They have 1 website, 2 business names and 2 locations. Each location has it's own business name. They are both within the same city as well. I'm not exactly sure where to start with them since they have 2 different business names. If it were 1 name with multiple locations I would just create a Contact Us page for each one, but is that the best thing to do when the location names are different? Should I create a different website for each location or is that smart because then they are competing against each other? Any help from the community on the direction I should take would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
