The proviso of course is that you're generating video that gets shared and embedded elsewhere i.e. the number 1 challenge!

Backlinks that redirect to your site

Hi all, I just wanted to ask you all about backlinks that redirect to your site. I recently used Link Detox Tools to carry out a link analysis. However, some of our backlinks are redirecting to our homepage. Is this ok? Why is this happening? Thanks guys!!!

Backlinks Redirected Temporarily (New to Old)

I have a website of which we are being forced to change the domain name and soon after give the control of the domain name to the corporate office. The corporate office will eventually put a new website up on it. We would like to build more backlinks without the threat of losing all of these backlinks to the corporate site. We were considering to start building backlinks to the new domain with temporary redirects to the old domain but have recently been advised against doing this (threat of Google looking down on this technique). Should we continue to build back links to the old domain, or should we 302 redirect the links to the old domain? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Hello, Which do you guys think would bring in more sales: doubling the content across all category pages and top 30 products, or getting 10% more good unique root domain backlinks from broken link building? 350 products in total 50 main categories 150 subcategories. After analyzing one of my competitors I notices they show up in PRweb as one of their top rated back linking sites. My question is using prweb or something similar okay to use for backlinking? Would they help at all? Also, since they distribute content, would I get penalized for duplicate content?

Backlinks not showing up

I've been noticing that not all links that a website obtains are showing up as a backlink. For example, the following page has a link to a website (**www.pwgglaw.com)**at the bottom of the page. http://www.ocbar.org/AllNews/NewsView/tabid/66/smid/384/ArticleID/564/Default.aspx I went to opensiteexplorer and typed in pwgglaw.com and it didn't list the ocbar.org as a backlink. Is this right? If not, then how do you force the link from ocbar.org to show up as a backlink?
