How to get Google+ Reviews directly on your website?
-
Greetings Mozzers,
I'm wondering if there is a way to get a Google+ embed on a website for visitors to easily provide Google+ reviews without having to leave your site?
Hard? Easy? Doable? Good Idea?
Any direction or education on this matter would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Well thanks for clarifying

Hey Guys,
Just wanted to specify here, though Monster Web has clarified that this is not his intent, that it is not allowed to re-post Google+ reviews anyplace - not on the website, or on another review site, etc. I know this isn't what you are asking Monster Web, but it's how I first read your question, so I thought others might, too, and I wanted to post this little tip.

Haha, will do.
Thanks for the information tho

The issue will be, for G+, you need them to have a gmail account first. I am not aware of anything that would allow you to simplify the process by having it onsite, but resolve to G+.
If you come across something, I would love to know of it.

Hey Vadim,
Thanks for your response. Yeah, that is what we are doing currently, I was just seeking a means to make it even easier on visitors. As well as with that functionality, I feel like we'd be able to do some pretty cool call to actions.
Thanks again!

Hey Robert,
Thanks for the response, I may have not verbalized exactly what I'd like to accomplish. I'm not looking to embed existing Google+ reviews to my website. I'd like to embed something from Google that is a text box where people can submit a review from our website, instead of having them click on an icon to go to another page.
Thanks for any advice

I totally agree with Robert as having those against your website listing in SERPs can have a dramatic effect on the CTR.

Monster Web,
There is no way to embed G+ reviews (EDIT - and have that resolve to the SERPs). You should look at using Schema or other markup for reviews to show in the SERPs. I have been impressed with the number of people who will leave a review for our clients. We push our clients when it comes to review markup because we see it as a big advantage.

These are the offical Google Embeds: https://developers.google.com/+/web/badge/
If you want to embed reviews: http://www.globalwebfx.com/embed-google-reviews-into-your-website-in-3-easy-steps/
But I was not able to find a embed that asked for a review. What I usually do is a button that links to the profile that says review us, or something similar, that links to the main google+ page and once there they see the option to submit a review
Hope this helps

Merging Facebook Pages - Getting Support from Facebook
Does anyone know how to get in touch with Facebook regarding issues with Facebook Pages and Merging Pages - I have posted on the Facebook Community Help Pages but no one from Facebook Support seems to read them or get in touch. Anyone got any ideas of how to get help from Facebook? Our original question on Facebook Community Help Pages was this but the question just got "merged" with another question where people were complaining about the same sort of problem with no one (out of 5 people on the thread) having come up with a solution of having heard from Facebook Support. We need to merge two company pages - The category and the address of the company of the page is the same on both pages - one page has a custom url - one does not. Both have the same first two words (i.e. the company name) as the page title. I do not want to list the pages publicly. Is there a way a member of facebook support can message us privately to discuss this please.

Do we expect Google+ to continue being an important ranking signal after its recent changes?
I've noticed that Google Plus seems to have a larger influence on ranking than other social networks, especially for one of our competitors. We haven't started using Google Plus, and I'm wondering if, from an SEO standpoint, it's worth putting energy into after last month's changes. TL;DR: After last month's changes, is Google Plus still an important ranking signal?

How do your direct social media to use another picture when the web site is shared?
I set up a web site to raise funds for my nephew(www.helpmatt.org) and social media randomly picks a picture on the share. Unfortunately this picture is from happier times and sends a different message than we would like to prospective contributors. Is there a way to set the picture that is used when this web site link is shared on social media? www.helpmatt.org

Google+ currently DOES support hidden addresses?
We noticed yesterday that many of our clients with hidden addresses are now able to get a verified G+ page through the Places dashboard. Anyone else have any insight on this? Are they classified as "Local" pages, or just verified "Business" pages?

Google Play rankings?
Hi everyone, I've spent the last hour or two googling information on Google Play app rankings, and a few websites mention that standard pagerank of the app page is taken into account when calculating rankings. This seems to make sense, though I'd estimate it's probably not a large factor, with daily downloads being a much higher factor IMO. So my question is, how much of a factor does standard link-building for a Google Play app webpage have in the rankings?. We're trying to increase exposure of an app we've built (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.onedirection), and though we seem to have more downloads, reviews and +1's than others, we seem to be ranking beneath them. Thanks, Chris.

MyBlogGuest releases 'Viral Content Buzz' website
Hi, Looks like Ann over at MyBlogGuest has released a very interesting side project called 'Viral Content Buzz' (www.viralcontentbuzz.com). I have had a quick look and it seems to be something that could be very useful regarding social sharing of content. Basically you can put your article into a category to gain exposure for it (this costs 'points'), once in the gallery others can tweet the link to the article to gain themselves points - and it goes round and round. It does look like a good way of building up followers and exposure but in order to pick up points you need to tweet and you can not tweet until you have a certain number of followers (just so you know I like this). The only thing I can think of negatively is how real are those lists? I guess the proof would be in the retweeting and visits to the article. Anyone else looked at this service?

Website Competiton - sharing the entry on social media
Hey guys, I was wondering if any of you could help me with this. Basically one of our clients will host a competition on their website soon. Once a visitor completed the entry form I would like to have social media buttons on that page that automatically place text into your social media account if you chose to "share" or "tweet" your entry. For example it could automatically place "I have just entered to win .... You should try it out as well!" into the twitter or Facebook posting field. I have tried looking around, but honestly I am not sure what the look for. How could this be achieved or what it is called? Thank you

How much weight do Twitter Lists carry in Google's determination of user influence?
I have come across a number of Twitter users that have 1000+ Followers, and they typically follow 1000+ people. I've noticed as of late that many of these people are found on fewer lists. I also know that many twitter users are selective about who they actually allow in their main twitter stream and therefore create lists to manage who they follow. Any thoughts on if /how twitter lists contribute to a user's authority and/or influence from the SERP's perspective?
