Recent backlinks in Open Site Explorer as not showing
-
I saw the note today that the link index did it's monthly update, yet our site www.oznappies.com still only shows 1 linking root domain and I know there are many more links now.
What do I need to do to get open Site Explorer to use the latest data?
I enter our site, create the report and only see old information from 6 may 2011's link index.
I have the same issue with competive link finder, links I know we have on the sites listed for our competitors are not showing for our site.

Perhaps it was cached in your browser?

Mine still says Last Linkscape index update: 05/06/2011
It's possible more updates are to come**.** I would check back again tomorrow**.**

Recently the index has been updated monthly.
You can see the last time Open Site Explorer was updated, in the bottom left hand corner, currently says 'Last Index Update: Jun 6th, 2011' and 'Next Index Update: July 2011'

The linkdiagnosis tool was very helpful - Thanks.

Our reports still show 5-06-11, so I assume we are all still waiting. You can use several free back link tools to see if your links are indexed. Try link diagnosis.com ( you need firefox and the plug in) or link back watch. Links will show up there pretty fast (same day if Google indexed it). Google web master as well of course, and yahoo site explorer.

the seomoz crawler is very conservative and will take a while to pick up on links. This has both good and bad aspects. Don't worry though you can always check in Google's webmaster tools for backlinks to your site.
It usually takes 1-2 months for the mozcrawler to find links to my sites. If you are impatient you can try pinging the links with something like pingomatic.com although i am not sure if the mozcrawler listens to those signals or not....

Spam and Irrelavent Backlinks
Hey! We have a site that is fairly well ranking in a niche of the medical profession. It has a good link profile with great .gov links etc. OSE doesn't show most of the links, however all the ones it does show are all good. We noticed an across the board drop in rankings recently, and checked on AHREFS. What we found, was hundreds of backlinks to a variety of pages on the site from a wide range of spam/porn/Russian/irrelevant sites. Even stranger is that some of the links have anchor text like "continue shopping" but they link to a page on our site about a type of limb fracture. Has anyone come across this before? How is this possible? Thanks

Moz doesn’t show the right facebook likes.
Hi moz help, I found out that in opensiteexplorer.org our Facebook likes counts zero, while my facebook account actually counts more than 600 likes. How is this possible? Did I not couple my facebook account correctly to my website? The address is http://www.onlinefietsonderdelenkopen.nl and the Facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/onlinefietsonderdelenkopen

Does SEOmoz work for fully secure sites (https)?
We have created a large file sending service (https://digitalpigeon.com) and for obvious reasons we have secured the entire site (we used to have a trial file send form on the homepage so it made sense to secure everything with 301 redirects from http to https) Because we, somewhat naively, started out with a memorable name and domain - Digital Pigeon - where all of our competitors just keyword stuffed their domains we don't really rank for any useful keywords yet. For me, building domain authority via links is more important right now that any on page SEO that is going to be trumped by google's infatuation with domain keywords anyway. Here's the problem though, it seems SEOmoz and even Google Webmaster Tools and Bing Webmaster Tools all fail to take into account inbound links for both http and https for any reports or analysis! I'm wondering if utilising SEOmoz PRO for keeping tabs on our MozRank is pointless if it's not accounting for all inbound links

Open site Explorer Findings??
On OSE, I am comparing two websites(A and B) and one has a page authority higher than the other (35(A) vs 36 (B)), but all the linking metrics are in favor for website A except for the linking C block (A has 11 and B has 12). The website B is ranked in page 1 for couple competitive keywords whereas the website A don't show up in the search at all. Why is that? Does B have better content and is more kw focused?
