How to view all 'followed internal links' on a page
-
I am trying to view all the followed internal links on a few pages of my website.
The MOZ toolbar just gives me the total number of internal followed links. What is the best way to actually see all the internal links that are followed by the google bot from any particular page?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Jon
Thanks for your response. The MOZ bar seems to work weirdly for me:
There are certain links on my page that are present in Javascript, and are not being crawled - they don't show up in the source code, and I also checked the same using Screaming frog.
These links are relatively low importance, and I don't want the search engines to crawl them, which is why I'm fine with them being left in Javascript.
The pencil icon in the Moz Bar highlights, and shows these links as 'followed internal links'. Not sure if this is how it should be - should these not be detected at all (they are present in unparsable JS, and do not show up in the source code either!)
Look forward to your response here.

Thanks for your response Gary. This is really helpful!

Ahh I sent you a link to a site that explores those links and creates a list, I thought you needed it to build a list.
The tool I use for my browser is SearchStatus by Quirk, its for firefox and it does some amazing stuff

Thanks Jon
We are actively using moz tool bar and found out one more great feature of it.

Hey!
The MozBar allows you to see the followed links on the actual page itself. If you hit the Pencil icon, and choose 'Followed', the MozBar will overlay all followed links on a page with a highlight.
Does that solve you problem?
Thanks!

There is a great plugin for chrome called Nofollow which outlines nofollow links and also detects nofollow and noindex robots meta tags on webpages.
It automatically adds a dotted line round any links which are no followed, as you can see in the screen shot below on Gary's link.

There are lots of tools out there, the one I use is http://www.webseoanalytics.com/free/seo-tools/link-structure.php
It will give you a full breakdown of each url, if it is dofollow/nofollow and what anchor it is using.
Very helpful.

Duplicate 'meta title' issue (AMP & NON-AMP Pages)
how to fix duplicate meta title issue in amp and non-amp pages? example.com
On-Page Optimization | | 21centuryweb
example.com/amp We have set the 'meta title' in desktop version & we don't want to change the title for AMP page as we have more than 10K pages on the website. ----As per SEMRUSH Tool---- ABOUT THIS ISSUE It is a bad idea to duplicate your title tag content in your first-level header. If your page’s <title>and <h1> tags match, the latter may appear over-optimized to search engines. Also, using the same content in titles and headers means a lost opportunity to incorporate other relevant keywords for your page.</p> <p><strong>HOW TO FIX IT</strong></p> <p>Try to create different content for your <title> and <h1> tags.<br /><br />this is what they are recommending, for the above issue we have asked our team to create unique meta and post title for desktop version but what about AMP page?<br /><br />Please help!</p></title>0 -
Homepage canonical url with splash or not with splash? All other links are without but logo links with splash
Hello, There is so much contradicting information about the homepage canonical URL. Many websites have all the links without the trailing splash but their homepage URL still contains the splash. Now Moz is an example with this. Their urls don't have the splash, and their canonical does not have the splash. Why is it so and why so much different ways people have it?

Web designer doesn't see duplicate pages or issues??? Help!
I have a website that has duplicate pages, and I want to fix them. I told my web guy and his response was: "we do not see any issues on our end. It is not hurting any ranking in the 3 major searches. We have no duplicate pages" Here's the site http://www.wilkersoninsuranceagency.com/ Here's the home page again http://www.wilkersoninsuranceagency.com/index.php Here's what MOZ say: Please see attached image. I'm not sure what to tell him, as i'm not a web person, but MOZ is telling me we have issues on the site and I feel like they should be fixed?? 7QWkVU0 tYCjV

Moving from Bigcommerce to Woocommerce on WP. Should we redirect size pages into one page?
We are moving from Bigcommerce to Woocommerce on WP. On Bigcommerce, due to some bizarre reasoning the previous developer had 3 separate URLS for the same product in different sizes - S, M and L. Now we plan to have one product page where the sizes can be selected and 301 redirect the 3 urls to the new one. Is this advisable? Or should we just have 3 separate pages. OR should we have one of the sizes pages as the new page and then redirect the other 2 to this one? I ask this because the site has a LOT of ranking power and we do not want to jeopardise that.

Which page to rank for a Keyword? Home Page or Deep Page?
So, we have a situation where there is one particular keyword we want to rank for. We have been up and down over the years, at our best probably position 4-5, and now at 20ish. Thats for our home page of course, which the majority of our linking is probably pointing at. We also have a sub page which is optimised for that particular service. The term is "web design brisbane".

So as you can imagine, Web Design is in itself a service and we offer others. Should we optimise our home page for it and remove the sub page?
Keep the sub page because its one our services and optimise both?
Do some kind of canonical thing?
Change our interlinking? All our competitors home pages seem to be the ones that rank, and it feels and looks better in results if its the home page, but if switching up to our sub page is better im all ears. Also if our sub page is somehow hurting or leaking SEO from the home page, id like to know as well. Would prefer to not have to provide a link, due to competition but if someone wants to know we can always PM.0 -
Is Google indexing something I can't see on my page title?
When I do a search for my businesses website (colourpages.com) it returns a listing which is great but the title tag includes Hull Colour Pages which is our old brand name - we changed to colourpages.com 2 years ago yet Hull Colour Pages is still pulling through on the title tag. I have checked the source and it's as follows: <title>Plumbers in Hull - Reviews - colourpages.com</title> I have attached a photo which shows the issue - http://imgur.com/Cva3001 Is Google indexing it from old history that is no longer visible or am I missing something? Header Links vs. In Page Links
We have lost considerable rank for some of our top search terms (department names) and the rank loss correlates to a change we made on our homepage. That change was to remove a secondary navigation to the major departments in the content of our homepage. Now all we have is the global header navigation on the homepage (and all other pages on the site). I have read that in-page links pass more value than sitewide header links and I'm wondering if this is really true. These were text links (not linked images) and our header also contains text links (and some javascript). We did not make any other changes on our site at this time and this was not around the time of any major algorithm updates. The site is www.ebags.com.

Number ID's in URL's
If you have to place a number ID into a URL. Does it matter from an seo perspective whether it is placed in the middle or at the end? Thanks
