Hour of the day that my analytics goals are being triggered within the all traffic report.
-
I am trying to identify the hour of the day that particular keywords (organic and PPC) are triggering my goals. Ideally I'd like to be able to use the all traffic report with the secondary dimension set as keyword. Hopefully I'm missing something simple, thanks all.

Hey Tom
Yup tried that also but when you do as you mention then you loose hours as an option. It reverts back to day/week/month as soon as you click through for the full report.
This is the problem

My bad, i missed a step. In the Goal overview first change to the source/medium report, then view full report. Screen attached.
Thanks, Tom.

Hey Tuzzell
I really appreciate you taking the time to respond. I must just be having an off day as I tried to do what you suggested before posting, and have just double checked.
Visit goals overview, full report and change the secondary dimension with it set to hours. However the only options when in that report within the secondary dimensions are goal previous step 1, 2, and 3. No options for keywords etc.
Anymore help would be appreciated.
Cheers

hours not one of the option for the default all traffic report. Can easily create a custom report if you like but may just be easiest to look at the Goals Overview, click full report on the table then change the dimension to keyword. Result hourly conversion stats by keyword.
Hope thats clear enough, if not let me know and i'll throw in some screens / links.

How do I exclude fake direct load traffic from networks in Google Analytics?
Starting on Friday 1/20, we noticed a huge, unnatural spike in Direct Load traffic. While researching where it was coming from, the big flags were huge spikes in countries that normally only have <5 sessions a month like Russia, Singapore, Brazil, etc., each sending 1400 a week, with >99% bounce rate and <0:00:05 average session duration. While looking into networks, we saw an influx in Networks that had never sent traffic before, each with >1300 sessions a week, 100% bounce rate, and 0:00:00 session duration. The list of these Networks are: astute hosting usa incorporated

Referral Traffic Issue
I'm working on a site that has low traffic volumes due to its niche. That's fine but we are daily getting referral traffic from unrelated domains without a link. These visits are always 100% bounce which is impacting the overall click.through rate. The domains are not the same and different ones come through all the time, so it is difficult to keep on top of. Any ideas what could be going on here and an effective way of dealing with this?

Analytics confusion
Hi all I am trying to see how many people visit the 'report a repair' pages of our website. It is on a separate domain to our main site. I have looked in our Google account for stats on it and now got confused. In our Google Analytics account, there is a property set up that says it is for spectrum-online (the domain I am after). However, it isn't collecting any data. It's admin info is: Tracking ID UA-7828548-8
Reporting & Analytics | | Houses
Property name
https://www.spectrum-online.co.uk There is another one there set up under the name 'Western Challenge' that does have data and mentions it is for spectrum-online: When I go into the Western Challenge property, the info is: Tracking ID
UA-7828548-3
Property name
http://www.westernchallenge.co.uk Western Challenge shouldn't exist now though. It was one of our old brand names and the site should be 301'd to the main www.spectrumhousing.co.uk site. I looked in this property at the top pages where people appeared to be landing. There are 9 of them, all with stats against them.Usually you can click the icon next to the URL and be taken to the live page. I however get taken to the Spectrum home page each time. All very odd. UA-7828548-3 is not the GA code used on our main site. I then tried clicking on a live spectrum-online page http://www.spectrum-online.co.uk/keyfax32/main.asp?co=KFRDROL_WCHA to see which Google UA number tracking code is being used but I can't see any GA code and it is a frame. Queries are:
Why is the Western Challenge property collecting any info?
Why is the spectrum-online property not collecting any info?
Is there any Analytics code on the Spectrum-online site and if so where? Apologies if I'm missing something obvious but your help would be appreciated. Thanks0 -

Omniture vs Google Analytics
What's your opinion on analytics tools? Specifically Omniture vs Google Analytics. Is Omniture really that much more powerful than GA? Have you used GA Premium, the enterprise package? My main question - Can GA (free or premium) do everything that Omniture can? If GA Premium and Omniture were the same price, which would you choose? Is one harder to implement, pull reports, tweak, ect? Thanks in advance.

Transferring Google analytics accounts
Hi, Does anyone know if you can transfer an Google Analytics account. We are looking to take over a new clients existing website and the analytics account is registered to their current web designers. Is it possible to transfer it to the client so that their existing web company no longer has access and they keep all their historical data, or do we have to start from scratch. Thanks Fraser
