Does anyone have any analytics for programmatic mobile advertising?
-
With reports like Business Insiders Programmatic Ad Buying On Mobile Is Rising At An Incredibly Fast Clip, Here's What You Need To Know (http://www.businessinsider.com/the-of-programmatic-ad-buying-on-mobile-2013-11), I'm starting to wonder if this is really an effective marketing vehicle.
Personally, I avoid mobile ads like the plague when I'm on my smartphone and most ads look to me like poorly targeted junk, but I could be way off.
If you've tried it out, I'd love to know what the post-click behavior is on programmatic mobile ads. Do your mobile visitors convert on any level? Is there any ROI data you could reference?

There are a lot of response questions folded into the answer you're looking to gain from this question. There is definitely not a direct Yes or No answer. There are several determining factors.
- Is the website mobile friendly? Not to be confused with Mobile Optimised. Is it easy for a mobile user on any device to read, comprehend, and perform tasks on a mobile device.
- What is your vertical? If you're selling shoes I'm more likely to buy in store. But if you're Zappos, I'll definitely purchase from my phone knowing full well that It doesn't matter what I order because I can return it.
- Who is your target market? If your target customer is a lower middle class mother of three, then she will likely not have any time to sit at a desktop/laptop to convert and have to do all of her purchases on the go. So mobile will work better for her lifestyle (there are studies charting roughly 57% of Americans as only having recreational access to the internet through their mobile device).
- What do you want them to do? Is your funnel complex and barely comprehensible? Do you require serious personal information (bank codes, credit card numbers, etc)? Your funnel also plays a part in how easily someone can convert.
- Does more mobile traffic mean more footfall in the local stores? If it does, then it doesn't matter what your website looks like, it means that people find you and still come to your location.
- And finally, the question no one is really capable of answering concretely yet.... Do people do more research with their mobile device then convert directly on a desktop device? The higher you bid on Mobile I would definitely keep an eye on direct or brand traffic to see if people are transitioning to the website through other avenues.
Of course, I'm sure you're up to speed on the on-site & audience identification. Mobile conversions still cost more. Mobile clicks cost more. And generally mobile has less space to display as many adverts so the costs to get good real estate are worth it if you can figure out your mobile audience's desires from your website.
So the short answer is: yes, it's definitely worth bidding that much for mobile traffic. I see average return from clients who are set up well for mobile, but if your site isn't prepared for a mobile audience then you won't see good on site metrics and you won't see it as worth while advertising spend.

im manager the PPC campaign to the company that im working.
Its a t shirt printing company.
I know how PPC and how its work but im not an expert. So far the campaign is working and we getting clicks and and leads. But, i cant understand perfectly how to look at the information and decide whether the campaign works well. For example : What is considered a good conversion ratio?
What is considered a good conversion cost?
How do I get a final summary of how much i spent and how much was the income ? I add tracking code to the 2 main pages,
The page when they leave their information - The quote,
and the thank you - The payment page. The problem is, that we don't sale t shirts online, we are printing house so we cant know by the number of the peoples that
land the thank you page the value of the deal, its can be 10 shirts or 1000 shirts. Is there's a way to track all the information's but more accurately?
To know each lead that come to our system from where he came from ? Thank you very much for your help !!0 -
Paid Search Visits Not Showing Up in Google Analytics
Hey all, Just took over SEM for my company, and noticed a bit of a problem with GA. Whereas Adwords has registered 141 clicks on paid campaigns that go to the site, GA has tracked only 5 vists in that time. Two things of note: The GA account was not linked to the Adwords account until today, and also, auto-tagging was not turned on. I understand these two things are important to having proper GA tracking, but I just want to make sure that there aren't any other things I should check right now to make sure I start to see tracked paid visits again. Is there anything else I should try? Cheers.

Google Analytics CPC and PPC not Matching
Hi Why do our CPC in Google Analytic not match our PPC in Adword, surely they should be identical? We have Auto-tagging switched on and data in our history is wrong so it is not a timing issue. Thanks

Enhanced Campaigns: Can you disable the call extension from desktop/laptop ads and only show it for mobile ads?
I "upgraded" one of my campaigns to Enhanced Campaigns. Now my text ads appears with a phone number to the right of the Headline. Can I turn this off for desktop and laptops and only show our phone number / click to call button on mobile devices? That's how I had it set up before. Now it seems like Enhanced Campaigns is forcing the phone number in your text ads across all devices. Thanks.

Does anyone else get a crazy amount of misdials to your AdWords call extension?
Not sure how many people here also do PPC, but I thought it couldn't hurt to ask. Since we added a call extension to one of our AdWords campaigns a few months ago, we have gotten a crazy amount of misdials/wrong numbers. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Here's what happens: We choose one of the numbers we own, say 888-123-4567, and set it up so it displays ADWORDS on the phone's screen when it rings. This way, our customer service and sales reps will know when they are taking an AdWords call. We type that number into the call extension settings. AdWords then assigns a different number to us, which will appear on our ads and forward to our number. Say it's 888-234-5678. Then for months, every "ADWORDS" call we get is someone trying to reach a different company at 888-234-5679 or 888-235-5678. In other words, the number they're trying to dial is one digit off from the number AdWords assigned to us. When we first reported this to AdWords before Christmas, they simply assigned us a new number. It did not help. Now we just get misdials for different companies. So are we alone in this wrong-number phenomenon?

Google Adwords Clicks v.s. Google Analytics Visits
Hi Guys, This question has been asked several times before but after doing some research, I haven't really found the right solution and/or explanation. I'm currently seeing a 30-50% discrepancy in Adwords Clicks and Analytics Visits, where there are more clicks than visits in most situations. E.g. 74,127 clicks v.s. 46,845 visits (34 add-to-carts, 67 initiated orders, and a revenue of $12,000). Can anybody in the forum help explain this? Thank you, Jurgen P.S. I've also looked at all the tracking codes and everything seems to be alright, I've checked if any internal redirects are stripping off parameters but to no avail. Lastly, I'm not sure if this is a behavioral issue here in SEA--will first click (Adwords) and last click attribution (Analytics) be the only explanation? P.S.S. I'm seeing the same discrepancies with Facebook ads and Analytics.
