Is there any updated version of The Art of SEO?? I found it was released in March 2012
-
Best way to learn is to do. But if you need some inspiration I'd also recommend the book "Art of SEO". One of the Authors is my old boss, and he certainly knows his stuff and even though the book is a couple of years older now it is still relevant and a great read. I'd also recommend heading along to a Search conference (I found this one to be fantastic http://sesconference.com).

I agree with what the gentleman above have said.
However, the art of the Seo is a good Book.
I would Focus more online if you want to learn search go to distilled.net/U
I feel that that is the best place to learn
Sincerely,
Thomas

Books are ok,but there is nothing better than to get your hands dirty. As Steve says Beginners Guide to SEO is a great starting point. Then when you start working on a site you soon realise there is no one size fits all and all sites have their own peculiarities, needs and restrictions. That's when places like Moz will really help as you can research, absorb opinion, learn proper strategies and put it all into practice.

I started at Beginners Guide to SEO. It has lots of great information which answers alot of the questions asked on this site daily.
also like this one for link building http://www.paddymoogan.com/2013/01/09/non-seo-books-that-seos-recommend/

Best French language articles on basic on-page optimization
I work for a bilingual organization and we've recently started more hands-on training for staff and content creators for SEO and content creation. We've put together a good guide in English but I'm hoping we can provide the French speakers with some solid French SEO articles that can help fill in the gaps that we don't get translated. We're looking for a basic guide to SEO, similar to Moz's guide to on-page SEO (in content, doesn't need to be as fancy). Thanks in advance!

SEO Ads On Third Party Job Sites?
Hello all, I seriously doubt I will get a reply to this as I'm guessing no one has experience with it. if you do though then I would appreciate any information either via comment or PM. Basically, I need to know how I can improve the rankings of job posts within the third party sites. An example would be totaljobs.com, how can I improve the rankings of advertisements that are posted there or is it simply ranked by date and location?. When I had my eBay business, I did a lot of research on eBay SEO and discovered some important factors for ranking within the eBay website. I'm basically wanting to do the same here on job board websites for job ads posted to them. Their algorithms won't be as advanced as Google etc so I'm guessing if they do they will be open for higher keyword density levels and that kind of thing.. I've googled it quite a bit and can't find any information at all on it. Thanks.

Does Server Speed Effect SEO Rankings?
I was told by a website developer that Google ranks sites higher if they are hosted on faster servers. Is this true? For example my site is currently limited because it is a Quick Shopping Cart site hosted by Godaddy. He said that if I hosted my research chemical site with a different company with faster servers I could get better ranking immediately. I linked to my site. I think it loads ok. However Godaddy probably isn't the fastest service around.

Doing SEO when using location is not an option
When doing SEO for a company that does not have a specific location (they are an online-only retailer), and doesn't want their manufacturing location given, what is some advice on other great SEO tactics that will help counter the disadvantages of not using anything location-related (Google Places, directory submissions, etc). Obviously backlinking and on-page optimization, but in regards to the fact that Google is becoming more and more encouraging of sites that are location-optimized and listed in many records such as Places, Yelp, directories, etc., does anyone have any advice?
