Should I remove links that are not related to my niche and could be spammy?
-
Our site ranks #2 for our primary search term. Compared to our competition in position #1, we out score them in all of moz metrics except in Moz trust- which we only trail by .3. I've read a lot about Google reducing the impact of backlinks and specifically the influence of anchor text for keyword ranking. However, many state that to increase domain authority you need to get more quality backlinks.
Here is my dilemma: Do we remove backlinks from our link profile that are not in our niche in an effort to increase our moz trust score. Some of our backlinks are from unrelated businesses that could be considered spammy like a poker site - even though the page still has a high page authority.
Currently, we have a significantly higher number of linking domains compared to our competition. Would it be beneficial to "clean up" our link profile or do we risk losing domain authority from a reduced number of links?

It's hard to say what to do without knowing the size of your site's backlink profile, but here is my best shot given the information you've provided. If you are currently ranking #2, I would not get rid of any backlinks at the moment, unless they are 100% against Google's TOS (paid, hidden, etc). However, I would also be really focused on acquiring more relevant and natural links to make sure your overall backlink profile looks solid and should survive future algorithms/inspections.
As your backlink profile gets stronger, consider removing poor backlinks gradually for increased SERP stability.
Don't worry about Moztrust. It's just a metric, and not one used by Google.

Does link have any value?
I recently received a link, but upon inspecting the page source on the site I did not see the link in the coding. Is this a link with any SEO value? Is google able to see this link? Note: Upon inspecting the actual link on the page, I do see coding with a followed link, but on the page source, only the actual table in which it is listed shows in the coding, with none of the content - including our link, showing.

When do my links show up?
For the last two weeks I have been working on linkbuilding. I have downloaded competitors link reports and started contacting or submitting links. In the last two weeks I have gotten about 50-60 or so. In the newest report it shows I went up four c-blocks. Why is that? It is kind of discouraging.

Outbound links
We are working with a large, global customer that has asked us to link to their website from about 5,000 pages of our website. The links would either point to one page on their website, or they would point to specific pages throughout their website. Is this a bad thing from an SEO perspective, as in - would either of us be penalized from search engines for doing this?

Is a no-follow link/sponsored link a good editorial link?
Ok maybe this is a dumb question. I really need some better, more quality backlinks pointing to my site. There is a site that has domain authority of 72, page rank 5 that is offering me a sponsored blog post. Do sponsored posts count as a good editorial link? Also what if they are no-follow (and how would I find out ahead of time), does that still give me link juice?

How to improve (ASAP) the linking root domain, the followed linking root domains and the linking C-Blocks? Linkbuilding (or whatever) techniques.
I have a small site (.com) like any website in my sector. 30-90 pages. I have no crawls errors. Everythings is fine, just I need to improve my linking root domain, the followed linking root domain and the linking C-Blocks. Example: my competitors have 300 (one of them have 1300) of total links. I have 30. Anyone know some good strategies? techniques? tips? I just dont want to be in a farm directory, I want free links. I'm already running two strategies but it works so slowly. I want something faster at this moment. Also, any recommendation will be thankful.
