Linkbuilding with Hootsuite
-
I wonder about a good way to distribute my content in social networks! I was using Hootsuite but never see my post or shared news in http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/ or giving me any relevance,
Could be the shrinking URL.
Who get the link Juice with a shrinking URL company? like hootsuite or anyparticular website.
I can mention another example http://inbound.org/ I past any url my any website that I want to promote and after 24 hours I can counting as a back link in http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/
Probably I don't know how to use those kind of tools!

this would depend on if you're linking you're short URL that your domain.
And what you're actually use totally.awe.sm
I can say enough good things about it.
I hope this helps you. You can also see exactly where your shares went.
I believe that the Bitly enterprise edition has similar features.
I hope this will help,
Thomas

mmm... sincerely I think that you're confusing apples with oranges.
Inbound.org is a website, and when you submit a link to Inbound.org, well... that's a link from a website and it is crawled by MozScape, hence showing up in OpenSiteExplorer, as well in any others Links' tools and, obviously, by Google, which will apply to the site a fraction of PageRank of the linking page if the link is followed.
Hootsuite, instead is shrinking your URLs and publish them in Social Networks like Facebook and Twitter, which have their firehose closed for Google, therefore Google is not counting them as "real links"... and so all the others crawlers.
Said that, the shortened URLs 301 redirect to the original URL, therefore, if they were crawled - and they are sometimes (just think when you have that kind of link crawled from a Slideshare or Topsy) - they were passing PageRank if they are followed.
But to see shortened links shared on Social in tools like OSE or in Webmaster Tools is totally useless, because links in social shares are not crawled.

What linkbuilding techniques are working right now after google's recent update?
I'm facing some issues after the google's recent update, been using blog networks, blog comments, web 2.0 submissions, directory submissions etc What techniques works now? i don't see any improve from web 2.0 these days may be we need to get enhance ? may be curated content? to what extent i understand this, i think they all are low quality backlinks which all the other blackhat markets use previous, and it even gets worst if we keep on doing this --- for the last 1-2 weeks i've stoped linkbuilding just searching for something concrete with this regard, because backlinks that are DoFollow is necessary to have! any thoughts on working techniques that won't harm my rankings?

Linkbuilding help discussion
I've seen a couple of questions about outsourcing linkbuilding. The general tone is that it is a very dangerous practice to select any service or to hire someone without a very thorough vetting of their past projects. This makes sense to me. But my businesses don't have the resources to hire an employee or an established seo firm. I am developing a sound linkbuilding practice from what I learn here at seomoz. The trouble is I just don't have the time to do it to the scale necessary. I can afford to hire an assistant/contractor for $15/hr or less. Would it be a good idea to hire someone from elance or odesk and work very closely with them to make sure they build quality links? Do you think this is better than hiring someone who says they can get me to google #1 for a specific keyword for $100 or so? Does seomoz or anyone else have any recommendations on where to go to find quality help? Thanks

How to improve (ASAP) the linking root domain, the followed linking root domains and the linking C-Blocks? Linkbuilding (or whatever) techniques.
I have a small site (.com) like any website in my sector. 30-90 pages. I have no crawls errors. Everythings is fine, just I need to improve my linking root domain, the followed linking root domain and the linking C-Blocks. Example: my competitors have 300 (one of them have 1300) of total links. I have 30. Anyone know some good strategies? techniques? tips? I just dont want to be in a farm directory, I want free links. I'm already running two strategies but it works so slowly. I want something faster at this moment. Also, any recommendation will be thankful.

Linkbuilding on deep Blog pages
So I think I've got a good strategy going but wanted to get others feedback on it... I've been link building on a lot of blogs via reviews and giveaways. Frequently, these blogs give my posts limited exposure on the Home Page because the posts quickly get buried by new posts and eventually pushed off the home page to the "older posts" pages. Sometimes, reviews never even touche the home page because they live one level down on a "reviews" page which typically has 0 inbound links and low page authority. In these cases, I will use OSE to find the blog post with the strongest back link profile and request a link on that page instead. Typically, these posts are 2-3 years old so the bloggers are usually happy to give an old page some action. I'm a bit concerned though..Since these pages are frequently old, their content has not changed for years. Essentially, the pages have gone stale. Am I getting any benefit from these links? They typically have the 2nd best Page Authority on the Domain, but I'm wondering if the lack of fresh content kills all the value.

Linkbuilding for Clients? Do I create new email account for outreach?
Hey Guys, So in the past when I would build links for a client I would create a new email account or have them create a new email account for their website which I can use for email outreach for building links. Also I would try to use their twitter user accounts to get in contact with other niche bloggers for a potential link back or a social mention. Is this how you guys suggest I should continue going about building links for a client? Or do you suggest using my email (agency email) or a random gmail account for email outreach? Thanks

Linkbuilding: Checklist for quality of a link
Hi everyone, During linkbuilding you often stumble upon those links you are not quite sure of. At first it may seem like a brilliant idea to get a link fom that site but on a second look it may be not. So what would be a checklist of things to look for, if one is asessing a website's link quality? (e.g. how do you spot a bad neighborhood?) If you are using SEOmoz tools for the quality asessment, which one would you use? Looking forward to your answers! Thx for the help in advance! Regards Thorsten

What are your experiences with outsourcing linkbuilding?
For us, any indian/3rd world linkbuilding vendor - do NOT hire them, they will ruin your link profile. If you give them very specific directions & find the right company/guy they can be decent for guerilla (blog/forum/etc) linkbuilding. What are your experiences?

What are the first linkbuilding actions I should take?
I am building a couple of brand new websites for myself and a client. I'm operating on a fairly limited budget ~$1000.00 for 3 sites. All 3 are in the life sciences and chemistry field. If you were me what are the first sites you try to get links from? Or should I just hire a link building service like Paul and Angela's? I guess Im looking for specific domains that are a must to get links from.
