Can anyone shed any light on why moz ranks this page an F: http://www.traditional-cleaning.co.uk/cleaning-in-tynemouth.htm for 'cleaners in tynemouth' and 'cleaning in tynemouth'
Many thanks!

I actually show both terms graded as a C for that page. If you run the page grader again (http://pro.moz.com/tools/on-page-keyword-optimization/new) it actually lists out exactly what items it looks for and doesn't find and those are the reasons why the grade would be lower. If there is a green check mark to the left of the item then that means it was able to find this on your page, if the green check is missing then that is something you should focus on.

Category page canonical tag
I know this question has been asked a few times on here but I'm looking for very specific advice. Currently when you go to a category, say http://www.bronterose.co.uk/range.html, a canonical tag is added to the head of the page. There are plenty of "variant" pages which carry the same tag, for example: /range.html?p=2

/range.html?p=3
/range.html?dir=asc&order=price
/range.html?dir=asc&limit=all&order=price Is it wise to push the "link juice" for each of these variant pages to the top level page? Or should each variant page have its own unique canonical tag? After reading many blog posts, guides and papers I'm truly confused! Any general guidance or recommendations would be much appreciated. Chris.1 -

Redirecting https pages
If I add 301 redirects from the https versions of the root domain to the http:www.website.com (canonical version), will this prevent users from being able to access the https version? I believe the https version is only accessed once users log into the site. Thank you!

How should i optimize this page
Hi, i am having major problems in optimizing this page as it is a magazine site. On normal sites i have no problem in optimizing the page to get the correct keywords to come up in the search engines but since the upgrade and also because it is a magazine site, i am having problems on how i should do this. my site is www.in2town.co.uk and i am trying to optimize the page for the following keywords lifestyle magazine online magazine lifestyle news Life and Style articles healthy lifestyle i am trying to make sure that google knows what the magazine is about, as i know have dropped down the rankings since the upgrade and for lifestyle magazine we were number one in google for such a long time but now we are on page 9 and this is our home page. we are seeing sites that have hardly any content ranking above us for this keyword i have a small intro which i have just put in the past few days at the top and we have a welcome in the middle which is here. Dupelicate content home page and custom page question
I am working on a website that got hit by the penguin update. Didn't get hit terribly bad, but dropped from number one to number 9. As I'm going through the pages, the theme and content is a mess. To give an example, say the site is about custom colored marbles. The main page content covers custom colored marbles, custom promotional marbles, custom glass marbles, etc. Custom colored marbles is mentioned and covered on all pages, which I am going back and trying to make each page theme specific. There is also a custom page, so I am at a cross roads on how best to employ the focus of the custom page and the home page. I am thinking the home page should emphasize colored marbles, and the custom page should emphasize custom colored marbles. My fear is that making such a drastic change will bounce the site completely off front page and that it will take time for the custom page to come up in rankings. AS it stands now I am confused as to how it even ranks on first page as there's two pages with custom colored marbles emphasis. Id like to clean this up as much as possible so there are no big hits with future google updates, but I don't want the site to drop off either as that would be hard to explain to the owner. Yeah, we are cleaning up your site and making it google compliant and in so doing you no longer rank on first page. That won't put food on the table. Thanks for any advise on this.

Too many links on a page?
On my blog posts, I have links to all the categories and months, dating back 5-6 years. This make the number of links on each blog page well over 100, which I understand might decrease the value of each page. Is there a problem with having more than 100 links on a page?
