Getting links before launch

I'm lunching my site in a month and a half,
should I start getting links for my domain?

I'm going to answer generally since there's not a lot of info here. If you can manage to get good relevant links to your page, that's always helpful. I'm not sure what you have on the domain right now, but if you have some sort of placeholder page with decent design and some kind of teaser or information for what will be there, this can be a very effective way to drum up excitement. Off the top of my head mailbox (http://www.mailboxapp.com/) had a placeholder page for months, where you can sign up for a waiting list for the app. It drew a lot of press, a lot of sign ups, and yes, a lot of links to a page that was not much more than a placeholder.
On the other hand, if you don't have anything there now and don't plan on doing so, I would stay away from just trying to build spammy or otherwise unrelated links. It could and probably will hurt you in the long term.

I am looking for a software to keep track of the back links or link building
Hi Guys, I am very new hear. I just joined. I have a few websites that I need to manage. I am looking for a software that will allow me to manually add the links that I have been able to acquire. It would also be a bonus if it could search for the links to my site and to see if its still active. Because I have a freelancer working a few hours a week on link building and I need to keep track of the links. I am looking for something simple and good. Any suggestions? By the way, I used Raven Tools many years ago, and it had this feature. But since joining Moz, I don't want to be paying for 2 subscriptions. And I don't know if Raven still has this feature. Get number of OUTBOUND link from a domain ??
Hello I´m doing some link profile audit and I noticed that there are some data that would be nice to know for a proper evaluation. The case is the following: Imagine I have a link coming from a blog, so (besides other factors) would be really great to know how many external links follow-nofollow this blog has. I dont mean external links pointing to them (what opensite gives you), what I would like to know is the total number of links this blog has pointing to other external websites. With this data, I would be able to guess in a better way if this blog is selling links or if is spammy. I would be able to know also how this blog/domain distributes its link juice and if the link gives me some value or if is dangerous. I have found some tools/sites but i just get the number of links a specific url has, not the domain info: Screaming frog (but the free version gives you almost nothing, link count checker, etc... ) Do you know any way to get this data in a domain level? You think this data would be important to decide about keeping a link or taking it out? Why none of the powerful tools of the market (opensite, majestic, etc...) provide this info? Linking between properties
I own 3 domains. One is my blog, one is my photography business site, and one is my graphic/web design site. They are all hosted on the same VPS account. I link between each site. Also, since the links are either in the nav, footer or sidebar, all pages from one page link to the homepage of each other. Is this an issue for SEO? Should I not be doing this? Would it be beneficial to use a no follow link instead if I'm to keep them?

Link Building: Asking for links versus building links
I am currently delving into link building for SEO having started out from a social media marketing side. From that angle, it was always my belief building high quality links came from engaging targeted bloggers and sites in my market and related verticals for product reviews and/or providing expert advise and opinion for posts they are creating. As I am learning more the "technical" side of SEO, I've read a lot of posters on here talk about asking from links from websites. While I get the concept from a strategic stand point, are links really asking for or is better to continue to pursue the long term investment of pitching to get coverage from well known bloggers and sites?
