Meta titles and description for subcategory pages in CMS websites

I have a CMS based site and for that I am getting duplicate page title and description error message, for my all sub-category pages. What can I do for this because write Meta title and description for each page for CMS based website is not possible.

Hi there, thanks for your question! Do you mean that your CMS will not allow you to write titles and descriptions for each page? (Or, rather, that you cannot use the CMS to write titles and descriptions for each page.) If so, are they auto-generated? Finally, are you using a homegrown CMS, or something like Wordpress or Joomla?

Why do you say it's not possible? A good copywriter can knock out titles and meta descriptions for a few hundred pages in a day. It's worth paying for.

The answer to this is one that I have thought about very carefully in the past as we have thousands of pages on our website.
I first of all did this programmatically taking the first 150 letters of the body of each page, or description of a product.
I soon realised that the search results weren't exactly what I was after and soon found myself manually updating the extracted text to suit the product and search keywords.
Over the years I have edited the majority of the pages manually and constantly update the information as keywords drop out of top ranking pages.
You get out only what you put in in this case and if it means manually writing the content then so be it I'm afraid, but you may want to take the initial step of extracting some of the rich content in there first as a starter.

Missing Meta description issue reported
Moz says missing meta description, however the meta description exists properly (using yoast plugin) eg of link reported by moz for missing meta description : https://www.basezap.com/reinstall-os-in-vps-using-solusvm-panel/ It is giving same error for many blog posts, as same time, for some articles the issue isn't reported. Although the method for meta description is same for all the posts. Can anyone explain if its a common bug in moz site analysis or I am following something wrong ?

Combine poorly ranking pages into a single page?
I'm doing on-page optimizations for an apartment management company, and they have about seven apartments listed on their site. Rather than include everything on the same page - /apartments/apartment-name/ - they have the following setup: /apartments/apartment-name/contact /apartments/apartment-name/features /apartments/apartment-name/availability /apartments/apartment-name/gallery /apartments/apartment-name/neighborhood With very few exceptions, none of these pages appear to rank for anything, and those that do either rank very poorly for seemingly random keywords or for keywords like the apartment complex name (alongside the main landing page for the complex). I'm of the mind to recommend combining the pages into a single one that contains all the info, eliminates the chances for duplicate content (all of the neighborhood pages contain the same content verbatim), and prevents keyword cannibalization. Thoughts? Thanks.

The meta tags: Title and Description, showing unexpected results on google
When I type my company name on google "Navneet Gems", it shows a very different meta tag then what it actually is. How do I change this meta descrption when its non-existent on my homepage? The worst is, it is having a spelling mistake. We want to correct this.

Home page and category page target same keyword
Hi there, Several of our websites have a common problem - our main target keyword for the homepage is also the name of a product category we have within the website. There are seemingly two solutions to this problem, both of which not ideal: Do not target the keyword with the homepage. However, the homepage has the most authority and is our best shot at getting ranked for the main keyword. Reword and "de-optimise" the category page, so it doesn't target the keyword. This doesn't work well from UX point of view as the category needs to describe what it is and enable visitors to navigate to it. Anybody else gone through a similar conundrum? Do I need a unique post meta description
Just wondering what the best practise is for unique meta desriptions on blogs. When I post a blog on my wordpress, clicking the title takes you to an individual page with that blog on it. I understand how important the title tag is on this page but when I create a meta description: a) is it useful? b) Should it be unique or is it ok to copy part of the post and insert that as the meta tag? Is there a SEO penalty for multi links on same page going to same destination page?
Hi, Just a quick note. I hope you are able to assist. To cut a long story short, on the page below http://www.bookbluemountains.com.au/ -> Features Specials & Packages (middle column) we have 3 links per special going to the same page.

1. The reason we do not follow all 3 links is to reduce too many links which may appear spammy to Google. 2. Counter argument:
The point above has some validity, However, using no follow is basically telling the search engines that the webmaster “does not trust or doesn’t take responsibility” for what is behind the link, something you don’t want to do within your own website. There is no penalty as such for having too many links, the search engines will generally not worry after a certain number.. nothing that would concern this business though.
