Best way to create content in Google Plus to help SEO
-
Hi,
I would like to know what is your experience about how to create content for Google+ in order to improve your SEO.
I mean, tips like content length, opitmization, links, hashtags, and so on...
What do you think? How would you integrate this strategy with the other ones (facebook, twitter, blogs, etc.)
Thank you.

No one has mentioned authorship here. My local listings have benefited greatly from my Google plus authorship showing up in search.
In my experience Google+ has worked well for me, so I feel validated in recommending it. Yes it might just be a fad that will eventually be extinguished, but you need to take part and be engaged to get the benefits from it.
It is another free channel to reach your audience and being linked to Google should provide higher authority, because they can directly measure engagement. Google plus is also an excellent learning resource, with some terrific content being shared by authorities in every field.
Content on Google+ needs to be visual. Yes your posts can also show snippets of content and link directly to your site, but a visual hook is going to work well, because of the speed at which people scan through the posts. Having title text within the images can also be beneficial.
I have been on Google+ almost from day one, and the access to game changers and authority's in the field of SEO and SEM has been invaluable.
The best resources for Google+ engagement are on Google+. Just type the question into the search bar and the very latest posts and information is there for you to see.
Do you need to be engaging on Google plus in this industry - well yes, because why not?

I agree with the other responses on the point that the quality content you generate should not go into a G+ post. Put your good stuff on your good site, and share through G+, it still is, technically, social media.
With that said, there is a great way to generate content and increase your ranks (of your G+ listing) with content in G+, and that's by relying on others. Get more reviews, link your G+ in places that people will see, so they follow you, be engaging with them on G+.
Don't think of G+ as another site for you to put content on. Think of it as another social media site where you can attract an audience and be engaging. By doing that, you are allowing others to produce content for you on G+ while you provide value by engaging them.

It took me a while to learn what EGOL just mentioned. If I have any quality content it goes one place, on my site.
But I do see social having its place and I also see a time limit for social as well, because before you know it large amounts of your time will be eaten up by it - and unless you know what your doing large amounts of it will be dead time.
So to me filling up a social profile with hash tags, unique content, links, images etc doesn't hold much weight. I just use social to list build numbers of followers, when I release a new piece of content on my site I share it with my lists - depending on the type of people in your list you may get re-shares, links, onsite shares, comments, email signups etc.
Thats just my thoughts though, I dont use social massively.

I am not doing any work on Google+
I am building on pages that I control. Pages that I can monetize.
Next week somebody at google could wake up cranky and that whole place will be gone.

Promoting our blog posts. Effective ways and planning.
Hi Guys. I work for TOAD diaries, we make personalised journals and diaries. So we've taken a dive into blogging recently to help with brand awareness/ loyalty and increase traffic to our site. We don't have much of a social media following. So I'd like to know about other effective ways to promote them. The advice seems to range from extremely obvious and generic on the one hand i.e) post it to your Facebook, twitter etc, to seriously in depth, using a multitude of tools I've never heard of. I mean it's pretty overwhelming 😕 So I'd like to focus down on 5 or 10 ways I can 'get it out there' effectively. Any thoughts? What are the essential tools/ techniques/ jobs I should be doing? Etc etc. Note on our blogs: They are very different from one another, so far we've done how to make an origami boat and paper vs digital: part 1. We're also working on a time management piece at the moment. So they're all to do with paper, stationery, organisation, planning ect. But like I say each blog post is quite varied. Thus the target market varies too. Also, do let me know what you think to the blog posts 🙂 Any area's we can improve upon? Cheers guys. Isaac.

Do you think that Content Locking (force to share to unlock content) is manipulative and will eventually be penalised by Google?
There is a tactic called content locking which requires a user to share a post or homepage URL in order to unlock content (either a video, a full post or downloadable ebook). Do you think this is manipulating signals to increase search rankings? Argument Against Using Content Locking Social signals and links from Google Plus shares clearly correlate to increased search engine visibility. Requiring a user to pay for content with social sharing is only used to improve search rankings. According to the webmaster guidelines: "Avoid tricks intended to improve search engine rankings. A good rule of thumb is whether you'd feel comfortable explaining what you've done to a website that competes with you, or to a Google employee. Another useful test is to ask, 'Does this help my users? Would I do this if search engines didn't exist?'" Argument For Using Content Locker Users tend to value their social profiles and won't share something unless they believe it is valuable. Requiring a share is just a push to motivate them to share something they value. Additionally, it is similar to an email opt-in in that the publisher now has a social media lead they can follow up on. It's not just about SEO, it's about tapping into social network traffic and engagement on social networks.

Best Way to Build up Likes
Hello, What's the best ways to build up "Likes" on Facebook. A friend of mine wanted to buy likes and I'd like to give him an alternative. We're in the personal development training industry. We have a nice website 110 Likes No twitter or Google+ large number of past customers. The strategies have to be very non-abrasive as our fan base really cares a lot about us. In other words, it's not the kind of audience you can send mass messages to or do anything that would seem like sales or advertising. Thanks!

Thoughts on Google+ influence on SERPs?
I just read this article over on Read Write Web: http://www.readwriteweb.com/archives/google_is_going_to_mess_up_the_internet.php The part that made me raise an eyebrow is in the section "Google+ Hates the Internet". I just tested the exact term the author used and his article does show up first, followed by two G+ listings. I don't have enough action going on in my G+ accounts to even test this, let alone see it, but was wondering if anyone else has seen it or tested it? Perhaps this in fact, is Google's way of using "social proof" to drive valuable content up? Seems like it, which is good. However, I can also see how it can be abused to further game and manipulate SERPs. Thoughts?
