When researching on the Keyword Difficulty tool i have a question of the meaning of local and global. is local my area, city, zip code or what? and global is meaning of state or whole US?

Hi,
Local Search Volume refers to the estimated amount of search traffic for the given term in the country-specific version of Google that you selected (Ex. Google.ca).
Global Search Volume refers to the estimated amount of search traffic for the given term in all of Google's country-specific search portals. (Ex. Google.com, Google.ca, and all other country-specific versions of Google).I hope this helps, have a great weekend!

Keyword Explorer shows wrong data
Hi all, Trying to figure out what is going on with the keyword explorer. All searches are made in the EN-US region. Example keyword: app localization

Moz shows me that volume is 0-10, which is Wrong. Actual volumes are in thousands per month. Another keyword - translation service
Moz shows the volume as 2480 when actual volumes are in tens of thousands. I can give many more examples like this - what is going on? NZGzX2p.png vzIwMoe.png1 -

Keyword Explorer - root domain (NEW): Domains outside US & Canada - no or no meaningful results
Basically I really like and would love to use the new root domain feature in the Keyword Explorer in my daily work. I usually deal with small to medium sized sites in Switzerland. Looking these up unfortunately it either gives me back nonsense (i.e. keywords that merely have nothing to do with the site; sites are very well keyword optimized) or no data ("There are no results for your search") at all. Is this going to change in the future (...honestly) or its simply due to the fact that MOZ focuses primarily on US & Canada and maybe huge sites in Europe? Thanks for your input. Cheers, Cesare

On the Keyword Difficulty tool what do the green boxes and ticks mean?
Hi, I'm trying to figure out what the significance of the colors are in the Keyword Difficulty tool. When I do a search some of the boxes are light green, some dark green and some of them have ticks - any ideas? Thanks, Matt

Keyword Difficulty and Analysis
Hi There - I'm using MOZ's keyword difficulty and analysis tool to understand the difficulty of a given set of keywords. To my surprise- I appear number 1 on Google, for a keyword with a difficulty of 36% On the other hand, for few other with difficulty in range 16% - 25%, I appear on the second or third page. In regards to page optimization, and back links i'm far better off on these ones than the other one (with 36%). Any reason why that would be the case ? PS: I've already analyzed the possibility of DA or PA, but it doesn't make sense. As the latter ones always scores better. Thanks, K
