Monthly Data Option not appearing in Moz AGAIN
-
Hello Again,
It's a real shame that I seem to come to this forum to only complain about your product again and again. I remember a time when I used to really respect this company, but your tool is absolutely abysmal.
Anyway, my latest issue (to add to the pile) is that campaigns that have been in my account for almost 2 months STILL do have options for me to make monthly reports on. What's wrong now?
Edit: I just checked the date I added these profiles, it was around the end of last month, so one and a half months ago.

Our engineers are working on improving how custom reports are scheduled but it won't affect when the data is collected as that will depend on the campaign creation date. The best day to create a custom monthly report will be either on the 4th or 5th of the month as all monthly collections for the previous month are available by the 4th. So currently the system will schedule the report based on the day it was created which means if you set one up on the 10th of the month, it will generate on the 10th the next month, but once the data is available by the 4th you can always manually export the report at anytime.

Hm, well as long as you have your reasons, but it is very frustrating!
Please take note of my Monthly Report point though, this would solve a lot of users headaches.

Hi Paul
Importing traffic data from Google is a limitation of their API so it's not that we won't import data from previous weeks, we can't. Search engines do not have a way to provide us with ranking history as well so when you are first setting up a campaign it is exactly that moment when we start collecting data but not before.
-
In the nicest possible way, that's not exactly very useful.
I don't see why I can't make a 'monthly' report at the start, but it does not fill up with information until there is any available. At the moment, i'm having to add a client and then wait for almost two months before I can create a report template for them. Why can't Moz just drag in Analytics information from the past month if it's availabe in Analytics?
As far as i'm aware, Moz does not add anything to it, it just pulls in old data already present but waits to do so.

Hi Paul
Our tool will only build monthly data for campaigns created that have more than 21 days for the same month. Your campaigns created on 4/8 will have April data but not the ones created on 4/9 as it is exactly 21 days but no more. All of those campaigns will have May data by the 4th day in June.
The last 5 campaigns created on 5/23 will have monthly data for June only which will appear in July. To make sure you will have the current month collected for new campaigns we recommend adding them between the 1st and the 7th just to be safe.
Hope this helps!

Moz Pro: Redirect Chain warning given to pages that don't have redirects
When I look up crawl errors for a page, I'm always told the page suffers from redirect chaining. However, when I do a redirect check (in this case, using the Redirect Path Chrome extension), it indicates that my page does not use a redirect. Why would Moz detect redirects, while no other redirect checker resource does? For example, this URL gets Moz's redirect chain warning: https://www.aem.org/news/january-2018/5-reasons-iot-projects-fail/ But there is no redirect associated with this URL.

Strange insight "tracked keywords" from Moz
Hi there, I was wondering if somebody is seeying the same problem. Since a couple of days i got a new keyword insights in my mail and i've seen some strange things for two accounts. The branded keywords are dropped lower then position 51. The thing is that i got an insight, i checked it in my private mode and the branded keywords are still there. Other keywords are still ranking, and there is no effect on my traffic. There is no connection between the sites. One has a couple of links and the other a lot. One has a very good page with nice optimalisation and the other has no text. So it couldn't be over-optimalisation and incoming links...

The following url
Moz Bar | | TrueluxGroup
https://www.whichledlight.com/t/gu10-led-bulbs has (100 score for keyword 'GU10 LED')
has different on page opmisation score results to
http://www.whichledlight.com/t/gu10-led-bulbs (73 score for keyword 'GU10 LED') Anyone know if we've set something up wrong?
Also, is this even something to worry about, does google treat them differently? We're using the Page Optimisation Tool in Moz Pro ** UPDATE ** It's worth mentioning we are using emberjs, so the website is a single page application.
We use prerender to render the pages for google.0 -
How does a non-traditional TLD impact Moz's crawl test?
I have a client who moved from a .com to .academy domain 6 months ago, and their current crawl tests are coming back with a universal page authority of 1, along with 0 indexed backlinks. The previous version of the site had an average page authority of 35-40, the site architecture and content are nearly identical, and there are no other errors or red flags in the crawl report that would hold back their organic rankings. In fact, looking at the site's analytics account, I can see dozens of sites that provide current and properly functioning backlinks, non of which are listed on the crawl test. So the question is - is Moz currently unable to properly crawl a .academy (or any other non-traditional TLD) site, or is there some deeper issue with the site's SEO that I'm not seeing? Thanks!

Moz keywords tool obsolete?
It looks like Google is going to encrypt all user searches, rendering entire sections of SEO tools useless like portions of Moz. What's Moz's reaction to something like this? http://blog.hubspot.com/google-encrypting-all-searches-nj

Moz "Crawl Diagnostics" doesn't respect robots.txt
Hello, I've just had a new website crawled by the Moz bot. It's come back with thousands of errors saying things like: Duplicate content Overly dynamic URLs Duplicate Page Titles The duplicate content & URLs it's found are all blocked in the robots.txt so why am I seeing these errors?
Moz Bar | | Vitalized
Here's an example of some of the robots.txt that blocks things like dynamic URLs and directories (which Moz bot ignored): Disallow: /?mode=
Disallow: /?limit=
Disallow: /?dir=
Disallow: /?p=*&
Disallow: /?SID=
Disallow: /reviews/
Disallow: /home/ Many thanks for any info on this issue.0
