Link Building Paralysis

I have been hesitant to build links with all these penalties and need a few good tips for building good quality links.
I have a wedding and photography business and we produce tons of photo content which we:
- blog - 1-5 times per week
- Social bookmark
- Get our work featured on other sites 1-2 times per month
Any other ideas I'm missing? I know their is a ton. Just need some fresh, clean link building ideas.

One of the ways I build links easily with local photographer clients is just to reach out to their own clients and get links from their sites and get shared.
Don't overthink these algorithms because that's when your productivity will get shot. I know the feeling. As long as you aren't overly using anchor text and you arent getting crappy links from networks then you shouldnt worry too much.
And you definitely have to utilise Google+. It's wonderful for photographers.

Please help me understand link building. I've read the articles on Moz, but they seem vague to me. Specific questions: 1. How do I get my webpage on good quality sites? 2. Guest blogging? Good or not? 3. What about when people pick up one of our blog stories and publish it on their site with a link back? Is that bad now because it is duplicate content??? 4. Forum posts with a link in the signature? Good or not? 5. Directories - I get it that these are no longer good... are they severely negative? Should I take them down. 6. PR - Looks like this is bad... right??? 7. Youtube - any value? 8. Pinterst, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram? Any value to backlinks here? 9. What about sites like redit? 10. So assuming you provide high quality guest posts to high quality blogs, is it okay or not to use this method as a link building technique?

Anyone have experience with AdTaxi for link building services?
Recently a client of ours received a proposal from a local newspaper for search related services, including link building. I believe the name of the company the paper is working with for some of these services is AdTaxi, which i had not heard of before. Anyone have experience with these guys from a link building standpoint? I know that here we are more "do it yourselfers" and for the most part, we handle all of the on-page and technical SEO for our client's sites, but link building as a dedicated service isn't something we have the resources to offer so I'm just looking to do some research. Link Building Template
Hi all, I am looking to find an actionable, easy to use, link building template to be used by myself as well as across office/clients. How much Link Building?
I'm wondering how much additional directory links to a site, on a monthly basis, would be too much, and potentially seen as too manufactured in Google's eyes. I am referring specifically to good quality, or relevant, directory links, nothing very spammy. I know there is no specific number, just wondering what the consensus is. Would a 10% monthly increase in linking root domains generally be considered too much? 5%? Thanks for your input!

Hi everyone, I am new to SEO and in the process of building links the clean way. Any suggestions on how exactly I can find websites that are linking out to quality websites already? I went thru most of my competitors link building strategy - and 90% of their links are done either thru link exchange or paid links. So looking at my competitors strategy does not really help.
