Links from highly relevant but low Domain Authority sites: Yes or No?

We're reaching out to companies that we have a business relationship with (past and present) to find out if they would be interested in linking to us.
All are obviously in the same industry so highly relevant. But some of the sites are low in Domain Authority (with scores of about 15-25).
Should we also ask these sites -- or avoid them? -
If you have the opportunity to get those type of links without paying for them and you feel it would get your site on the radar of the audience they have then go for it. If your asking should you spend money to get those links from sites with low da that dont have an engaged following i would say no.

I agree with Andy - it's not all about the domain authority and one day their sites may gain in DA anyway.
Just don't go for any spam links.

Personally (but just my 2 cents') I would say yes, if they are in the same 'arena' as you and they are legitimate links then I can't see why they wouldn't beneficial - it's all about a diverse link profile, you can't expect to get DA links >45 every time and that certainly wouldn't look varied!
People may disagree but I wouldn't worry unduly, I think a lot of link building is 'gut feeling'
What I would say though is make sure that you document (I use Excel) each link you build \ gain \ earn, it makes life a lot easier if you ever do get a warning!

Relaunching a site that has had thousands of posts linking to the same 20 articles. How to properly setup internal linking?
I'm in the process of relaunching a music news site (www.prefixmag.com) that once did quite well in search (over a million monthly search visits in its prime). The site got crushed by Panda, etc. and we stopped updating it. I'm starting to do more research but one thing that I noticed was we have modules in the right rail (desktop) that are found on all of our article pages that point to the same posts. (Edit: Added attachment. The links in the right rail under Editor Picks, Features, News, Media, etc. are found on every page of the site). In other words, we have thousands of posts that all link to the same 20 or so articles. Should we not do this if we're not trying to emphasize these posts in Google? Assuming this is the case, what is the proper way to do internal linking? Do we simply setup a sitemap and link to it? I'm hoping to have the thousands of articles we've published over the years have a chance to rank in search again. Multiple links from a single web-site
When one good web-site (PR5) has a link to my web-site - it's great. But, if this site has a second link to my web-site from another page, is this also good? Or, let me ask in a different way, will my web-site get "double benefit" from that web-site?

External links - link to third party sites
Greetings! Actually, got an doubt on linking to external site. The thing, i have working for roof marketers site. They have covered roof products. Each of the products have a page along with major keyword. Actually, i do link from other pages[internally]. Meaning,if i see any main keywords in different page then will link that to corresponding page/product[internally].This is what i am doing to get page rank. Now, my doubt. Some of the pages are having link with main keywords which directs to the third party site those who are really producing the products. But, i remove the third party-link which has with main keywords. Since already the site/my client site having pages for that main keywords. But client really want that link. meaning the links which they have given to direct to third party[product producer] site. So what should i do at this case. Can i just past RAW link like [http://www.thirdpartysite.com] or what do i do. But my client wants that link to be in content area. Multiple LInks from the same domain - how much benefit do they give?
I'm wondering how much added benefit there is to gaining multiple links from the same domain? For example when looking at a competitor in open site explorer I see they have 239 linking domains but 5,066 links. How much additional benefit are they getting over just having 239 links from 239 domains? Also how many links is an optimal number from a domain in that case before there become no more point seeking links from that domain? 5? 10? Thanks

I have a few website that centralize spefic news (business news) from other sites and show the article source. The question is: The sites provide about 100.000 backlinks to 3 other sites. Do i remove the site wide links and keep them only on the front page or i keep them? Tjank you

Too many external links vs linking root domains - good or bad?
Hi guys, After the latest Linkscape update, we noticed that our website have 424,671 external links with 4,395 linking root domains, so roughly 100 links/domain. Does Google consider this to be a negative thing or we do not need to worry about it. Many thanks. David

Value of a link from very large profile site
Hello We have an opportunity to get a link from a very large traffic site. It comes with a price tag, and Im wondering if it is worth it. Is it ok to mention the page and cost? It is the 5th largest internet site. Would be on their benefactors page. There are many other sites linking from the page, and its obvious they are on there for the link value. I know sometimes one link can do wonders for rankings, where thousands of others can not. But wondering if there is any way to quanitfy this. Is it worth it for the value of the backlink? If we link to the home page, the link juice (alot I hope) would pass through to the deeper pages, and increase their rankings for their target keywords? Thanks for your advise. Sam
