ERROR: Too Many on-page links!

User wise, my product menu @LEDSupply.com is user friendly, but I'm concerned that it might be seen by crawlers as bad because of the TOO MANY ON-PAGE LINKS error I am getting in my moz crawl report. Is it really counting all the links in every drop-down menu? If so, is there are resource on how to fix it????

Hi There!
We moved "too many links" under "Site Information" so it no longer counts as an error. We still include it in your report just for your personal knowledge, but in most cases there is nothing you need to worry about.
Too many links can dilute link authority and may not present the best user (or robot) experience, but at least today search engines can generally crawl all of those.

As long as each link is pointed at unique content than you should be fine. Having a lot of links and thin content would be something to worry about. Plus you are an eCommerce site with a lot of content.

This question is asked over and over and over and over again in Q&A.
I would like to see someone from Moz respond to this question with a link to a page that thoroughly provides the answer. Also, a link to that page should be huge and obvious within the tools where people are encountering these error messages.
Noobs and first time users of moz tools are wasting lots of time worrying about these error messages. They might be needlessly tearing their sites up to respond to Moz telling them that they got too many links.
I would like to read an article about this question written by somebody who has done some research or someone from google. I think that Matt Cutts has given guidance on that old 100 links rule. I am sure that plenty of people would say that I have too many links on the pages of my site... but I am pretty confident that I don't and the number of links that I have actually puts me at an advantage over people who are listening and responding to these error messages given by moz tools.

I really wouldn't worry about that. It is pretty standard in terms of menus for sites with lots of pages. These Mega Menus are pretty commonplace these days. I haven't yet seen a site penalised for having one.

Hi there, I have about 50k Moz medium priority errors in my Crawl Diagnostic report. The bulk of them are classified as "Temporary Redirect" problems. Then if you drill into those further, I can see that the problem urls all kinda are center around: mysite.com/catalogsearch/result.. mysite.com/wishlist.. mysite.com/catalog.. Is this something I should disallow in my Robstxt file? And if so how specific do I get with it.. Forums and soical network pages - link analysis
Hi, I am working on reputation management project and i reach the point when i found that forums pages and social pages are hard to analyse their links and page rank. for example if you search these kind of pages on http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/ , it wont show any result And if you try to find the page rank on Moz toolbar it will show 1 pagerank How would you do guys when u are in this situation, Do you consider these kind of pages different than normal pages? Page Rank vs Page and Domain Authority - who wins?
A client has found another SEO agency promising various things to do with link building. Most of these promises are based upon links from sites with allegedly high page ranks. So my questions: Page rank seems to be fading out am I safe to stay with PA and DA metrics instead? I don't agree with link building tactics and feel that it should more a networking activity to provide USEFUL links to users... am I being too white hat and missing opporunities? The other company have promised long list of links including 100 SEO friendly web directory listings, 200 PR 8 back links from Pinterest (which i thought was no follow) & 10 long lasting and high quality mini web sites (with three pages/posts, video and pictures). Am I right that this all sounds a little spammy or is this really what I should be doing for me clients?

Campaign link not working?
I imagine most of the initial problems with the domain migration to moz.com will be cleaned up rather quickly. I did however notice right away my links to my campaigns from the dashboard were not working. I then click the campaigns tab up top and my campaign links worked from there. Just thought I'd share real quick incase anyone else is having the same issue.

My campaigns are not analyzing all my pages.
Hi I created a campaign against http://www.universalpr.com, and this campaign reports that only one page has been crawled. What is the best way to analyze all of the outgoing links from a website to determine which links are not beneficial?
I've recently been tasked with the SEO on an old site that was ranking somewhere on page two for desirable keyword phrases. The site was taken completely offline for a few months and started ranking on page one for the same desirable keyword phrases. The site has a lot of link partners and I think that some of the links from the site are going to undesirable pages and I'm looking for the best way to get rid of the links that are hurting the sites rankings.
