How does Google Tell which are the keywords you're targetting?
-
Hi!
I've quite a number of synonyms and common related keywords and i know that it needs to be only at one page instead of many different pages.
The keywords are: delivery service singapore, delivery service, singapore delivery service and delivery service in singapore.
Do i need to have an exact variations of each in the content of the page so that google will know i want to target for these keywords. Because i'm trying to make my page to receive an A grade for all these keywords in a page? Do i need to split the keywords into 2 different page to achieve that goal?
Thanks!

don't just think broad vs exact match, also think synonyms and tenses. and don't write for seo write for the user, if it reads weird then don't do it, or make it fit as well as you can like "We operate the best delivery service singapore has to offer."
research your keywords very well to make sure your main targeted and secondary ones are truly the ones people are searching for most. best delivery service singapore seems like too long tail just based on intuition, you may be able to rank well for it, but if no one is searching for it you'll get no traffic

True! Why didn't i think about that.... Thanks!
But my best keyword that i'm banging on is "delivery service singapore" which is quite incoherent if i use title:"best delivery service singapore" as it is grammatically not right?
Any thoughts on that?

Bingo, yes - this is good advice!

First off, don't split them up on different pages. They are very relevant to each other.
What I'd do is target the main keyword in the title tag. Maybe something like "Best Delivery Service in Singapore." I'd also reflect his keyword in the H1 of the page. From there you could use a variation in one of the h2's on the page, and just synonyms in other h2's.
You could do something like:
title: Best Delivery Service in Singapore
H1: Delivery Service in Singapore
H2: Why Choose Our Singapore Delivery Service
H2: Some Variation of Keyword
H2: Some Other Variation
Also, don't worry about the letter grades. An "A" doesn't guarantee top rankings. Aim for an "A" with the main keyword, and "A" or "B" with the variations.

Does Google do keyword matching when deciding whether to rank a page?
Hi, another newbie question on keyword research and selection (can't find any information on-line with this low level of detail)... If I've decided that my primary keyword for a given product page is the product name, something like 'AquaPower wet and dry cordless vacuum cleaner', can I assume that it isn't worth additionally optimising the page for 'cordless vacuum' as this has a phrase match in the primary keyword? Is it still worth additionally optimising for 'wet and dray vacuum' which has a broad match within the primary keyword or is Google bright enough to drop the intervening word 'cordless' when deciding whether to rank my page? Thanks for any guidance on this.

Question about keyword analysis
I am working on a keyword analysis for a range of keywords. I want to target these keywords in the Denver market. I know if you search google for something like "IT Support" and you are located in Denver it knows where you are and caters the results to be more Denver IT Support oriented. I did notice that those results are different than if you search for "Denver IT Support" My pages are optimized for the Denver market and the keyword like "IT Support" but I am a bit confused on how I should be doing my research into keywords. Should I be putting Denver into all my keyword analysis research even though I still want to rank for just the keyword when they are searching from the Denver area. I hope this all makes sense. I guess I just need some guidance on how to deal with the location specifics of my keywords. Thanks in advance for any help.

Keyword Updates
I have a list of keywords in a campaign that I need to update. I use the keyword report card to review those keyword performance by page. I dont currently see a way to update those keywords, I only see the option to add or delete. I don't want to delete and re-enter because then I will lose that "mapping". Is there a way to simply update a keyword?
