Country domain but multi-language

Hi all,
We are a fullservice internet firm working from the Netherlands. Because of that we are working on a .nl domain. All related domains internationally are taken. Currently on Microdesign.nl we only write dutch, but we have a lot of Magento and e-commerce knowledge which is related to all customers, we also get some international attention for our extensions, themes and content. The thing is, what to do when i want to maintain more languages. (dutch and english). Would microdesign.nl/en or en.microdesign.nl rank internationally. or should i keep microdesign.nl due to the current ranking and get a .com kind of domain working with hreflang?

In short, .nl .com and such dont make a huge difference in ranking. but probably in CTR due to the fact that a english user is in basis not trusting, or not preferring the .nl domain over a .com. Although this is nowadays less important but still the case. Splitting 2 domains would split the DA as well. thats true.

Let's approach this in two parts: SEO and Branding.
If you went for an en.microdesign.nl or microdesign.nl/en structure, would you be able to rank the site in Google US/UK and for English terms? The answer is a definite yes. You have a country TLD, but in the end a TLD is just a TLD and it won't prevent you from ranking outside of Google NL.

The second consideration, and arguably the more important one, is the issue of branding and appearance. Will English users want to visit your site or trust your site and services if you are on a .nl domain? Now, if you had asked me this only a few years ago, I would have said probably not, and would have recommended you do all that you can to move to a global TLD, like .com. Now, however, with all the different TLDs out there and people and agencies seemingly using any extension to rank (.me, .pro, .anything!), I really don't think it makes much of a difference. Provided that the search result is fully optimised for the English user and when the person reaches the site, all of what they need (including the nitty gritty like contact details, terms, privacy etc) are presented in English, then I think you would be able to make your current website a success. Plus, you get to preserve an SEO authority your root domain currently has.

Moving from Blogspot to blog hosted on our domain
Hi there, I work for a furniture retailer in the UK and I have a question about moving our blog. We have had a blog at www.ourcompany.blogspot.co.uk since 2012 and it was last updated mid 2014. There are about 100 posts and the content is actually really good, not spammy in any way and not stuffed with links to our site. The content is essentially guides to buying the right furniture. We have now launched blog functionaility on our website at www.ourcompany.co.uk/blog as I feel this is a better long-term solution to increasing site traffic and page rank. I want to pick your brains on the best way to handle the old content. A: Copy all the Blogspot content across and back date it to the same date it was originally published and then delete the old Blogspot account? Or will Google see this as duplicate content. B: Backup all the Blogspot content now, delete the Blogspot account and then repost this content at a later date? Will this still be seen as duplicate content? 😄 something else. Thanks for reading.

Can We Publish Duplicate Content on Multi Regional Website / Blogs?
Today, I was reading Google's official article on Multi Regional website and use of duplicate content. Right now, We are working on 4 different blogs for following regions. And, We're writing unique content for each blog. But, I am thinking to use one content / subject for all 4 region blogs. Websites that provide content for different regions and in different languages sometimes create content that is the same or similar but available on different URLs. This is generally not a problem as long as the content is for different users in different countries. While we strongly recommend that you provide unique content for each different group of users, we understand that this may not always be possible. There is generally no need to "hide" the duplicates by disallowing crawling in a robots.txt file or by using a "noindex" robots meta tag. However, if you're providing the same content to the same users on different URLs (for instance, if both example.de/ and example.com/de/ show German language content for users in Germany), you should pick a preferred version and redirect (or use the rel=canonical link element) appropriately. In addition, you should follow the guidelines on rel-alternate-hreflang to make sure that the correct language or regional URL is served to searchers.

Domain MozRank / MozTrust too LOW
I release this site, about 1 year ago: www.bioespaco.com Cant understand why the site has so low value on domain mozrank e moztrust. The page has 1500 visitors/month and 3500 page views/month too. Most of the visitors from Google come to this site, with the keyword "bioespaco" the name of the company. Cant find what is wrong... Looks like something it penalizing the page (or the domain!?) Using own domain for Google blog
Is it worth the effort using your own domain for a Google blog? After adding my own domain to a blog I see a boost in ranking, maybe the url has more value without the blogspot extension, or that Google might treat the (max.10) pages you produce under your own domain as "independent" thus giving you the chance of building your own domain trust...?
