Get number of OUTBOUND link from a domain ??
-
Hello
I´m doing some link profile audit and I noticed that there are some data that would be nice to know for a proper evaluation. The case is the following:
Imagine I have a link coming from a blog, so (besides other factors) would be really great to know how many external links follow-nofollow this blog has. I dont mean external links pointing to them (what opensite gives you), what I would like to know is the total number of links this blog has pointing to other external websites.
With this data, I would be able to guess in a better way if this blog is selling links or if is spammy. I would be able to know also how this blog/domain distributes its link juice and if the link gives me some value or if is dangerous.
I have found some tools/sites but i just get the number of links a specific url has, not the domain info: Screaming frog (but the free version gives you almost nothing, link count checker, etc... )
Do you know any way to get this data in a domain level?
You think this data would be important to decide about keeping a link or taking it out?
Why none of the powerful tools of the market (opensite, majestic, etc...) provide this info?
Many thanks for your help

Thank You Paul !!!
I will check this one right away.
Thank you all for your help

The paid version of Screaming Frog is pretty much the Swiss Army knife of SEO tools and should be in every practitioner's toolbox, but if you need a free tool right away (I know only too well how long purchase approvals can take ) XENU Link Sleuth will provide the outgoing link profile as well.
Do note with either of these tools though, that you are putting additional load on the receiving site's server. Be courteous by dialing back the crawling speed of the tool, and doing the crawl during off-traffic hours in order to minimize your effect on the other site. (Good advice even when crawling your own site too)

Yes it can surely pinpoint more powerfull link opportunities vs the spammy ones, but to be honest, for each link this will cost you a lot of time. i think a good mix of great links with a few one on spammy sites which are not clearly super spammy (else you see it with your plain eye aswell) is not that horrible.

Hi
Thanks a lot for your answer. I will try to convince my manager to get the paid version LOL.
What is pretty strange is that this metric (in my humble opinion) could be very important to identify spammy blogs or pages but it seems that nobody uses it.
Thanks a lot

Hi,
this goes indeed pretty deep, but its perfectly possible with an extra little tool which you already mentioned. The paid version of Screaming Frog gives you a lot of information, and with a little digging it gives you perfect outbound link profiles of sites. but a lot of data needs to be crawled so thats why you need the paid version.

Link Building where link building is dead. Latest tactics in a land of content.
Hello, What is your latest link building techniques considering manual link building is basically dead, and you should really build good content to drive results. Link building has really become less important. It seems to be much more 10X content now. What would you recommend for basic link building considering this besides the 50 first Links video by Rand, which is excellent. Thanks, Bob

Internal Linking - Post links vs Side Bar Links behaving differently
Hi, I have a question regarding the internal linking behavior. My website is www.hindimeaning.com which is approx 3 years old. I have approx 450 posts. Now i have a widget on right sidebar "Popular posts". A widget below my posts "Related Posts". And a simple html CSS menu above the posts (I removed menu around 6 month before so currently it will not show.) I crawled my site with moz crawler (same are the result from google crawler as well) and it shows menus links as internal links. While sidebar widget "Popular posts" and "Related Posts" are not showing as internal links. If we talk theoretically what i learn till now is "every link on a page behaves as internal link". Then why the widget links are not showing as internal links. Thanks, Mahesh Kumar

Why am I getting links in my link report from sites that no longer exist?
So, I have a link report from Link Detox. And I'm going through all of them and considering what sites need to be removed. and trying to find emails and contact webmasters. There is just one odd thing i'm starting to see more of. A lot of links are on websites or webpages that no longer exist. The link no longer exists. Some of the domains are even available for purchase. Why are these links showing on the backlink report and are they really harming my website? Also, do I need to add these links into the disavow document that I will submit to Google?

Multiple on-page links to single domain
Hi, the main focus of my question is to add a bit more information to my client as to where they are going wrong. Firstly they have a directory on a third party domain with subdirectories containing all their product listings. All the links need to be no-follow for sure. However, from a link juice passing perspective if there are per page say 20-30 links to varying URLs on the same domain is it still the same sort of calculation that the link juice is sufficiently weakened that each link has little value, or because the links are to the same domain there is an extra (potential) filter going on?

Ideas for structuring contest to get links?
Hi Mozzers, So I'm getting all set to run a contest. The prizes are great and I've developed a good way to promote it via paid and natural venues. I'm just not sure how to structure the actual contest so the end result is more links than mentions. One idea I had was to make this a story telling contest where the contestant blogs about a good/bad experience within the niche industry and adds a link back to us to enter. Does this seem like to much effort for the user? Prices are worth about $250 each, and I plan to have 3 winners. Any ideas on how to better gear this towards link building is appreciated. Thanks!

Need ideas to get do follow links from highly competative niche "wedding"
I need to get high quality do-follow links and my target market/keyword is ‘Maui wedding’ and a few others. Because it is such a competitive market I am having a hard time getting links from local companies providing Maui Weddings (I know why because they are my competitors) and national companies sites aren't much help because they are trying to provide leads to their advertisers. I would like do-follow links from non-paid sources any ideas or resources you could help with would be much appreciated. Thanks.
