If you create a best-on-the-web article for concrete pumps let us know about it by posting the URL here. I know someone who might link to it.

If I wanted to rank #1 for "concrete pumps" I would create a page of content that is better than anything else on the web. Not just a little better, but a LOT better.
This might be an article with lots of photos, videos, data tables. It should be the first document that a person who is interested in learning about concrete pumps would read. It must be awesome.
It would cover what is a concrete pump, why are they needed, when/who invented them, the history of concrete pumps, types of concrete pumps, examples of use, interesting facts, links to lots of subtopics (hopefully some of that will be on your own site).
A page like this should attract links - but it would be a good idea to do some linkbuilding to get the initial rankings - at least enough to get it on the first page.
Look at the wikipedia article. Anybody who is a concrete pump expert should be able to make an article that is 100 times better than that. Beat it by a mile and you have a chance to rank on the first page for concrete pumps and maybe eventually be #1.
If you can get a page like this ranking #1 for concrete pumps that will make you THE MAN for that industry. All of the links that hit that page will pump power through the rest of your site and boost your rankings. Other pages on your site will be hard to beat if you can accomplish this.
If you are up to doing the research, writing that article, getting the photos, getting some video, compiling some data then I would go for it. The links that an article like this will attract will be extremely valuable.

We are very protective of our customers, thats why we are not really looking to identify them with links. That gives our competition insight on who we service and who they can go solicite
We have finally ranked on first pages for concrete pump parts and the like. I am going to push ranking for more specific part items such as pipe and hose etc.
I would like to get in atleast the top couple pages for concrete pumps. Trouble is, there are some website sites out there with good ages and high numbers of links.
Is it possible to be competetive in the concrete pumps arena?

I really respect this attitude.
You are going to need some awesome content for that... and you might need to do a little bit of linkbuilding.
What are your goals? Are you out to rank #1 for "concrete pumps" or do you have other ranking objectives?

Hey Quilbur,
If you don't plan on actively pursuing links or social networking and would like to gain page rankings than the idea here would be to produce new unique content daily, make sure your internal link structure and onsite SEO is well done.
Also, I would ask your current or past clients that have a website to offer a link to your website in exchange for a discount or some kind of value for their business.
I am sure you already know this but the absolute best way to gain page rankings or SERP rankings is to get more links to your website and increase your domain authority.
Hope this helps

EDIT: Wow, I really miss read the question on this one.....
Just brainstorming:
What is bringing the visitors in now?
Where are they coming in from?
Do you have videos on YouTube about each of your pumps and why someone would buy your product over another? Focus on the benefit of me using your product, not the features.
Do contests that has people sending in pictures or videos of them using your product and have their family and friend vote on it for a prize, whatever that may be, perhaps quarterly so that the non-winners this time will try harder to send you more visitors next time.

Web Hosting and CDN for Wordpress Site Load Speed - Suggestions Needed
We all know that website load speed is more important than ever. While I love the look and feel of parallax and Wordpress, I want to do everything I can to keep the load speed down. I see a lot of conflicting information regarding web hosting services, CDN services and other service (Cloudflare for example). I am looking to hear from those with their own experiences to let me know what they think is the ideal setup for a parallax Wordpress site is as far as which services to use, including: 1. Web Hosting

Responsive Web Design WordPress Template Suggestions
Does anyone have any RWD WP templates they would suggest? It's for a friend of mine that is starting a local solar panel installation company. For the beginning, he likely will not have more than a handful of categories and subcategories. I'd say no more than 50 total pages. Any suggestions would help. He doesn't want to spend more than $50 - $100, but he's not married to that figure if it's worth it. Thanks everyone, Ruben

Can someone suggest a good wordpress plugin for compressing images?
I am building a new website and it has 500+ photo images. I've got less than 100 in there at the moment and the page speed is already very slow. I'm trying to reduce the size of the images before uploading but without a photoshop application it is very difficult. Are there any great plugins for wordpress that can help?

Mobile sites! Any advice or suggestions for building one?
Hello Mozland, I'm looking to have a mobile site built. We have a fair amount of traffic coming from smart phones, tablets etc and want to capture this traffic better. Do you have any advice on how to have it built properly, if/how it can be optimised, what good features to include, or anything else you think might be of help? Many thanks Martin
