Lubov,
I do feel you improved your titles here. Using the Engineered Brown Wood as the start of your title seems logical to me. The Cipressa in the old title, what does that refer to? A particular type of wood or product name you use?
Using London in the Title might tell your users where you are but they don't tell them who you are. Danny Dover's book suggest you use | Companyname/sitename at the end of the title. I implemented this for several websites and the results seem to work great. However, when you do that and implement it throughout your site you don't mention London. But you do refer to it in the footer. Why not implement your entire contact details in the footer of the page? Then you can leave london out of your title tag and you have it in your page footer. That is what I would do.
Hope this helps you some.
regards
Jarno

Hi Matt
After taking your feedback into into account and researching further, removing the "product" name and "company name" plus replacing with keywords that users would search for would probably work better for us?
From this: Cipressa | Engineered Brown Wood | The Wood Galleries
To this: Engineered Brown Wood | Luxury Oak Flooring | London
**Now we have the main keywords at the start of the title tag, followed by keywords associated with the product, plus where we are. **
Will the use of "London" within our title tag (although not a keyword) help us to become more searchable for users in London?

Hi Matt
I've implemented the following changes to one product (example old, new below). I'd really appreciate you feedback Matt in relation to how your preferred method would be?
What I did...
1 – Changed /engineered-wood/ to /engineered/ and change /cipressa/ to /cipressa-oak/
2. Changed the keyword from Engineered Brown Wood to Oak
3. This means also changing H1 & Page Title and Meta Description
Old

It seems a bit "wood" heavy but that's just a gut feel. I think your titles could all be written better to incorporate the type of wood & the main phrase together or put the main phrase first and put the type of wood into the "wood galleries" part - either way they could be rewritten to be better for both Google & the users.
The H1s, & "keyword in content" seem pretty straightforward & correct. The fact that wood is in the URLs twice would also give me a bit of concern - but just keep it as natural as you can and you should be fine. This doesn't jump out as an example of "really over-optimised."

Paid Link/Doorway Disavow - disavowing the links between 2 sites in the same company.
Hello, Three of our client's sites are having difficulty because of past doorway/paid link activity, which we're doing the final cleanup on with a disavow. There are links between the sites. Should we disavow all the links between the sites? Thank you.

Old Press Release sites - Which ones do you Disavow and leave alone
Hi Mozers! I need your help. I'm in the final stages of a huge link audit and press releases are a big concern. As you know, press release distribution sites up until 2012 had "follow" links, giving webmasters a delight of having their keyword anchor texts a big boost in rankings. These are the websites that are troubling me today so i would appreciate your input on my strategy below as most of these websites are asking for money to remove them: 1. Press Release sites that are on the same C-class - Disavow 2. Not so authoritative press release websites that just follow my www domain only (no anchor texts) - I leave it alone 3. Not so authoritative press release websites but have anchor texts that are followed - Disavow 4. Post 2012 press release websites that have "followed" anchor text keywords - Request to remove, then disavow 5. Post 2012 press release websites that just follow my www domain only (no anchor texts) - leave it alone #2 and #5 are my biggest concern. Now more than ever I would appreciate your follow ups. I will respond quickly and apply "good answers" to the one's that make the most sense as my appreciation to you. God bless you all.

Competitor Bad Practice SEO Still Ranking Well But Why ?
Moz Friends, A very close competitor have always been challenging for similar competitive keywords. We seem to have the advantage for alot of long tail keywords but on one of the higher traffic relevant keywords they seem to do well. I really struggle to understand why, particularly with the back links they use Just my thoughts and notes on the two: Our Page Better written text content (Maybe slightly written to for experienced target audience but we are working on simplifying things) Good Clear site URL structure and navigation for usability Fresh content updates Mobile optimized Reasonable page speeds Good on-page optimization Good back links from industry influences Competitor Page Negatives Site structure and URL's are inconsistent and messy Lower quality content site wide They use tried and tested on page optimization methods like Keyword spamming, Bold Keywords,Underlining Keywords (Sarcasm) Terrible back links, all directories and free article submission sites (Seriously take a look) Less focused on page optimization Not mobile optimized Most of the rest of the sites carry on the same sort of differences, Engine: www.google.co.uk Keyword: Sound level meters **Our Page: **www.cirrusresearch.co.uk/products/sound-level-meters/ **Competitor Page: **www.pulsarinstruments.com/product-information/Sound-Level-Meter.html Any feedback would be greatly appreciated please, i am really struggling to get my head around this Thanks James

I dont know where to begin to look. Any ideas how something like this could happen and what "Stones" I should turn. We purchased the website and are not SEO gurus so just not sure. Is it bad to no follow all External LInks at the same time?
I am working on more than 40 EMDs. They are good quality brand sites but they all are interlinked to each other through footer links, side bar links. (and they dont have much of linking root domains) Now Some of those sites have been renovated with new templates and these new sites has very few external links (links going out to our own sites) but some of these old sites has 100s of external links (all these external links of course link to our own sites). But anyways, we are planning to no follow all those external links (links that are linking to our own sites) slowly to avoid penalty? question is, can it be bad to implement no follow to all those links on those sites at the same time? Will Google see it as something fishy? (I don't think so) Also, Is it good strategy to no follow all of them? (I think it is) What you guys think ?

Big Rank Drop - Is My Site Spammy?
Like many others one of our niche sites - aluminumeyewear.com got slammed in the recent algo updates (4/18). All of our pages dropped at least 40/50 places which seems like a penalty to me. The site still ranks for its name thankfully. I'm trying to figure out if this is an over-optimization penalty, or a devaluing of back links or both. I would be grateful if I could get some feedback as to whether you feel the site is over optimized and how I could check if sources of back links have been penalized which in turn has effected us? Thanks in advance!

Same template site same products but different content?
for the sake of this post I am selling lighters. I have 3 domains small-lighters.com medium-lighter.com large-lighters.com On all of the websites I have the same template same images etc and same products. The only difference is the way the content is worded described etc different bullet points. My domains are all strong keyword domains not spammy and bring in type in traffic. Is it ok to continue in this manner in your opinion?
