2 different pages being shown as duplicate content.

I have a small problem with some of the pages on one of my websites.
Pages are shown as duplicate content when they have no content the same apart from the template. But it only happens with a few products and we have well over 100 products for sale.An example would be these which are seen as duplicate content.

Absolutely, as Don and Monica have raised, your unique content is outweighed by your "duplicate" content.
Get some more rich text. For instance, put yourself in the shoes of your customer and think about content that would make you buy the product with NO DOUBTS!
- Things like testimonials/reviews will aid the user
- Why not introduce some protocols or tips to make the content different?
- More images with optimised file names and alt tags (don't just name images 187041111-370_370.jpg!)
- How about a short description of the product on top under the title and then a descriptive unique one further into the page? It helps spiders crawl your keywords early, it sells the product in a instant to users and it enriches the page.
It's no different to real world. In the real world a user might do research before making the purchase instore, why not offer that research on your page itself to re-affirm this is the product you want and in turn make your page a more optimised one?

Don is correct. If you have thin or missing content, the HTML becomes your content, which is probably why you see duplicate content errors. The way to fix that is to get some content on those pages, to help even out the text to html ratio. User generated content, especially product reviews would really help. If you use an app, like Yotpo, make sure it is fully integrated so that the reviews show in the source code.

Hi John
I thought I had seen a post about what percentage it takes not to be considered duplicate content. Try as I might I did not find it. No matter, my suspicion is the amount of unique content on each page. By having your "Delivery","Returns", "Why Buy From Us" text on each of these pages you have upped the amount of the exact same text on each and every description. When you have 3 bullet points and a 2 sentence paragraph that explains the product that doesn't really make for a high percentage of deviation.
My bet is that is where you problem is. A possible solution would be to make those 3 sections links to their own pages.
Hope that helps,
Don

Duplicate content issue
I'm getting duplicate content warnings from Moz for various slideshows on my posts and pages in Wordpress. It seems when I create a slideshow it exists as its own page and as these have no text Moz sees them as duplicates. Here are some examples - http://www.weddingphotojournalist.co.uk/?gallery_page=slideshow&pp_gallery_id=1331991312

Duplicate URLs
A campaign that I ran said that my client's site had some 47,000+ duplicate pages and titles. I was wondering how I can possibly set that many 301 redirects, but a Moz help engineer said it has a lot to do with session IDs. See this set of duplicate URLs: http://www.lumberliquidators.com/ll/c/engineered-hardwood-flooring (clearly the main URL for the page)

I was wondering if some of you, maybe with experience in site architecture, would have insight into how to address this issue? Thanks Alan0 -
Help me to know why are all pages not being tracked by the Moz tool for on-page optimization reports?
The On-page Optimization report that the Moz tool shows, is not tracking all the pages from my website. I know this because it isn't showing a ranking for all pages on my website. Is there a particular reason why this is happening? It is important for me to know details of all pages, else it does not give me a comprehensive picture of what's going on in SEO.

My moz only one page was crawled
I recently moved my shopping cart from one provider to another and today moz only crawled one page, could this be because maybe google has not indexed it yet or should i be concerned? I pointed the DNS at the new cart monday night if that helps. I would have expected it to be indexed by now

Hi everyone, I'm a newbie and at the moment don't know very much about SEO. I have a problem with some of my campaigns where i keep getting a report with either Duplicate Page and/or Duplicate Content errors. I have no idea how to rectify this error, remove it or fix it on the relevant websites. Can anyone please help explain how to do this, maybe step by step? I really appreciate your views and opinions! Page and Domain Authority and other bits
Hi, I am in the process of finding blogs to have a few articles published with a couple of links in each. Articles will all be unique and relevant to the link I drop in and relevant in someway to the reader However I have a few questions. My site is a designer menswear site, so I have picked fashion and sports sites first and foremost to have the articles published. Now, I have a guy who owns about 30 different websites. 2 of them are sports based and about 10 are fashion based. Around $10-$15 an article. I have ran them all through the Open Site Explorer Tool and picked out the best ranked ones. Now my problem is, how do I know if its a good site to not only list an article on, but to pay for it as well. The sites page ranks are around the 30-45 range, the domains are around the 35-45 range. What is a good range to have? I know the higher the better but is 30-45 good enough to pay for? (I don't mind paying the $10 each (£7 my money) for each one) Also as he is quoted me in dollars, I assume there all USA based, so majority of users are USA based. Well I am UK based and only ship to the UK. Will this matter as much if I am trying to gain backlinks? Obviously a UK based site, would be ideal, but is it a case of getting more external links on the web for Google to find, as long as they are relevant to the user? Any help would be great. Thanks Will

HTTP 404 for 404-page?
Hi Mozzers! SEOmoz just finished crawling one of my websites and this crawl found 3 errors. One of these errors was the (custom) 404-page, because of the http-status 404. What's you suggestion about this? Should a 404-page have a status 404? Thanks in advance for your suggestions!
