Moz Local doesn't have Categories for my clients business

Moz Local doesn't have Categories for my clients business, for that matter neither does Google Business:
Using the Moz category tool- and Superpages, where we have been listed for a long time,
the following categories have no MOZ local or Google Equivalent.
Millwright
CRATES & CRATING INDUSTRIAL
PACKING & CRATING
CRANES, HOISTING, & RIGGING SERVICES
MACHINERY MOVERS & ERECTORS
EXPORT CONSULTANTS
RIGGERS EQUIPMENT & SUPPLIES
this makes fitting into Local search very difficult at best. Since the Moving category is so crowded, and brings in 99 household moves to one legitimate industrial move or rigging jobs.
So is it best just not to pay for Moz local? How do we get Moz Local and google to add these important industrial local categories?

Hi Katherine,
Thanks so much for writing in about this. Moz Local draws our categories directly from Google, so you are right to notice a correlation. Unfortunately, you are right that Google's categories are not all-inclusive, but whether you sign up for Moz Local or not, participation in Google's local product is a must for pretty much every local business. Because of this, rule of thumb here is to find the closest match you can for your broadest category and then use the business description to explain the nuances of the business.
So, per Ryan's example, you could choose Shipping Company or Shipping Services for the main category for one of your businesses, and in the business description, describe the packing and crating services you provide.
Not perfect - I know - but there is know known way to influence Google's categories. It's totally up to them.
You're not alone in your frustration with this. Mike Blumenthal, himself, can be quoted as stating,"Google’s category system is woefully inadequate at its job of indicating what a business actually does." And, the Google forum is full of tickets like this one:
For many common business models, the category system works just fine, but when there are facets of the business that the category system doesn't cover, going with the closest possible match is the only option. And, of course, be sure that your citations descriptions and website are highly descriptive of your services.

Hi Kathrine. You can find a searchable list of relevant categories for Google Local at: http://blumenthals.com/google-lbc-categories/search.php?q=&val=hl-gl%3Den-US(PfB)%26ottype%3D1 and here are a few possibilities:
- Crane Rental Agency - https://moz.com/local/categories/category/Crane Rental Agency
- Packaging Supply Store - https://moz.com/local/categories/category/Packaging Supply Store
- Shipping Company - https://moz.com/local/categories/category/Shipping Company
Within those Moz Local links you'll see how they relate to the categories on various other sites. Agreed that there's not a perfect fit at this time for what you're describing, but at least these should get you close. Also, there are people here that work directly with Google Local so this might get addressed in an upcoming update. Cheers!

Using Moz Local for Two Businesses / Two Websites but One Building
I'd like to use Moz Local for two of my clients who share a space. The first one is an independent tattoo artist, who operates inside a larger tattoo shop. Both the tattoo shop and this individual artist have websites, and they'd both like me to optimize for local search. Will this be a problem using Moz Local to add both businesses? I will buy two different Moz Local subscriptions for them, but I don't want one business to override the other since they're inside the same address. Thanks!

Facebook page not appearing in the Moz Local listing report
Hello, We recently set-up a Moz local account and have submitted our data about the business to it. However for some reason our Facebook page is not showing up in the listing report. The Facebook page is active and has all the NAP details but in the listing report, it only gives the option of creating a listing. Is there any way I can link our Facebook page in the listing report.

Moz Local Address Issues
I've been having some issues with addresses recently that I've been submitting to Moz Local and I'd like to see if other people are having similar issues and how they are resolving them... So Moz local requires you to have any Suite or Floor info on line 2 and I am having a hard time making this work with Google. It seems like they always add it to line 1 and when I call to get it fix it is like pulling teeth to get it right. There has been a couple times i've had to fight to tell them its not formatted right. All this trouble has really made me think about if it is worth it using the service if this is going to be an issue.

Moz Local UK - Is Facebook or Google being used to verify NAP?
I am using Moz Local UK on behalf of a customer of mine. There are two verified listings when I do a search for their business name and postcode. There are a couple of slight variations in the two verified NAPs; One says Road, the other says Rd. One says their county, the other says their district - or East Sussex & Brighton & Hove. Both their Facebook and Google+ pages say Road and East Sussex. Both verified listings are wrong and in contrast to any Facebook or Google+ account. Not too sure where to go with this and would appreciate any advice :0)

Local Search and Moz Local Question
I'm using Moz Local for a few clients right now with good results. Was talking to a friend about using it for one of her web clients and a new scenario came up. The client does waste management and has a dozen locations in/outside of a metro area. She's been "trying to get their listing on Google Maps" without luck. After some probing, it turns out their main address for operations is in the metro area they are targeting, but they don't have waste facilities there and wanted to prevent customers from coming there. They actually use a PO Box for their contact information on their website and make no mention of the main address. Looking to see if anyone agrees with my proposed solution: Claim Google My Business listing for the main address in the metro area they're trying to optimize for. Use Moz Local to clean up their main listing (after a quick check, it's a mess) for the operations address. Update website contact info to include the main operations address, and make specific mention of which other addresses customers should/shouldn't go to for dumping/picking up equipment. So, the recommendation would be one Moz Local account. I figure no need to do listing for all of their other locations since they're just waste facilities controlled by the main listing. Does this seem like a plan?

Can reporting be whitelable with Pro version on our site for clients?
I'm setting up login portion of our new site that will show reporting sections for each marketing piece the client has chosen to use. (i.e. Google Analytics will be one section, email marketing results and analytics, inbound marketing results from CTAs and landing pages, and local search ranking for key search phrases including location) I'm in trial mode right now with Moz. I was wondering if the reporting tools could be used unlabeled on a backend client dashboard. Thank you for your response in advance.
