Hi John,
If you want to see the visualisation for mobile traffic only you'll have to use the "Goal Flow" report - not the Funnel report (my mistake - wasn't aware that the funnel report doesn't allow segments. The goal flow is the newer and more advanced report on funnel reporting. For a full comparison between the two, check this article https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/2976313?hl=en).
If you want to use the funnel reporting you should use the 2nd method I described - create a new view with filter "Mobile" - which will allow you to see the normal funnel report, although not for previous data. A step-by-step on how to set up this view can be found here: http://blog.crazyegg.com/2013/02/26/google-analytics-profile-filters/

Yes, you just use your normal funnel visualization and turn on your mobile only segment.

Is it possible to create separate funnel visualization for mobile?
-
Hi
you can select the segments at the top of the page in your analytics report. By default it list 100% of sessions - next to it 'add segment'. When you add a segment you can add mobile / tablet. If you only want to see mobile you close the 'all sessions segment and only keep the mobile segment.
I only have mobile internet access so I can't send you a screenshot

Hi Dirk,
Thanks for reply but difficult to understand your reply -
1) "take your existing funnel / checkout report and select segment mobile and/or tablet traffic" - i.e. when i click Conversion > Goals > Funnel Visualization.....at this steps i cant see any way to select segment?
- "Alternative would be to create a new view and to add a custom filter mobile and tablet"....if possible can i have screen shot?
If you check my attachment i want funnel of mobile and if possible than ipad also.
In Google Analytic - Conversion > Goals > Funnel Visualization it shows the funnel of whole website either desktop, tablet or mobile but i want only for mobile and if possible then ipad also.

Hi
the easiest solution would be to take your existing funnel / checkout report and select segment mobile and/or tablet traffic which gives you the figures you're looking for.
Alternative would be to create a new view and to add a custom filter mobile and tablet (these are pre-defined) or create a filter based on screen size.
Advantage of the second method is that it doesn't involve sampling (segments are sampled if visits are high or if you look at historical figures). The disadvantage is that reporting only starts tracking the moment you create the view (segment also work on historical data.
Hope this helps

Using logical operators (AND / OR) in Google Analytics Goal Funnels
When setting up a Funnel within Google Analytics, is it possible to use logical operators (e.g. OR, AND) in the first (required) step of the funnel? For example, suppose I want to track users who visit page1.html AND page2.html before proceeding to the destination goal. I've entered two pages separated by the OR operator, and neither the "Verify this Goal" nor "Save" produces an error message - is it safe to assume that this is working as I intend? Thanks in advance!

Specific Industry Website Conversion Rates: Lighting
Hi All, There's loads of info around on general retail conversion rates, but does anyone have any experience with online lighting shops and typical conversion rates? This is a highly price driven shopper, and from my experience so far they bounce around looking for the best price... We've recently taken ownership of this new site, and I'm not sure I can relate general metrics to this site... although there is lots of work to do on here! Cheers in advance.

High Bounce Rate on traffic generating area of our site
Hi, Our eCommerce site currently includes a blog section known as Igloo which we have filled with unique and helpful content that is useful to a fair few people, not just customers of ours. It currently attracts a large number of visitors (more than the actual eCommerce side of the site in actual fact) organically who aren't currently customers of ours. Very few of these turn in to paying clients so it's not really a money spinner but it has worked quite well from a linkbait perspective / traffic generation perspective and undoubtedly a few of these people do end up making a purchase on the actual shopping end of our site. We're look at ways to encourage these people finding help on this free resource to take a look at our homepage and hopefully make an order but in the meantime I am worried that there may be a few downsides to us creating this content: Google may see us more as a help site than a shopping site. Since selling products is where we make our money this could ultimately be a bad thing. Our bounce rate is REALLY high (I'm talking around 94%) on the help site versus around 20% on the eCommerce site. I guess people land on the article they want, read it and then disappear. Would this bounce rate skew our entire site stats and ultimately result in decreased performance in the SERPS. I would appreciate your opinions and, in the event you do feel it may be hurting us overall perhaps some suggestions on how to mitigate the effects? Many thanks!

Can a 100% bounce rate page hurt whole website?
Hello, So with trying to figure out what I can do to better my website, I noticed a post on here that mentioned bounce rates. So I went to my Google analytics pages and listed my bounce rates. My average is 44% But I have a picture page that is 100% and a contact page that is 80% Can pages like this cause an algo penalty that could hurt a whole site? Thank you for your valuable insights

Reach local driving up bounce rate...
Hi all! I have a new client that I did a website for. After a month, looking at the analytics, it shows that while the site visits from reach local is more than the organic google, the reachlocal traffic is bouncing, causing the overall website bounce rate to skyrocket. Organic bounce rate is 47.62% and the reachlocal is at 84.25% driving the overall bounce rate to 68! Duration of the reachlocal traffic is at :56 vs 3:41 for organic. (SEE ATTACHED IMAGE) I'm guessing this all means that the reachlocal traffic is obviously not quality, so does that mean they are targeting non-relevant keywords? I don't have any experience dealing with reachlocal. Should I recommend my client to drop it? And if so, how to stop that traffic from coming to the site? I'm sure this is an easy one for you pros! Thanks! ~BB MUW959h.jpg

Bounce rate calculation
Could anyone help out with a bounce rate query please. A website of mine, an affiliate website offering product reviews, has a bounce rate of 82%. I am puzzled a little as to how this is calculated. Is it only a bounce if the user goes from the search engine to my site and then back to the search engine? Or would search engine to my sites to the affiliates site via the link on my sites also count as a bounce? With a site of this nature the goal would be to get as many people visiting the merchant as possible and so a high level of bounce from me to them would be ideal Thanks, Carl

Increased Bounce Rate & Dollar Index?
We use Google Analytics on our ecommerce site and we recently made several changes to an important page. Due to logistical reasons, we couldn't perform a Google web optimizer test but tracked the page's numbers in analytics from before/after the changes were made. After a week, we noticed that the bounce rate on the page went up by about 10% but the dollar index also doubled. We're trying to figure out how this could happen, since it seems kind of odd. Any feedback would be appreciated.
