Robot.txt file issue on wordpress site.

I m facing the issue with robot.txt file on my blog.
Two weeks ago i done some development work on my blog. I just added few pages in robot file. Now my complete site seems to be blocked. I have checked and update the file and still having issue.
The search result shows that "A description for this result is not available because of this site's robots.txt – learn more."
Any suggestion to over come with this issue

What the problem is with your site I cant say because we don't have the url.
But having said that, Why block pages? I find it is very rare that you need to block pages, I remember reading that Google sees blocked resources as a spam signal, that by itself is not a problem but when mixed with other signals can be harmful.
so do you really need to block the pages?
if you really do, then use meta noindex, follow.
you want the links to be followed so that link juice flows back out of the links to indexed pages. or you will be pouring link juice away via any links pointing to noindex pages -
Hi
You are most likely still seeing "A description for this result...." etc in Google because they may not have re-cached the page yet.
If the site is crawlable with a tool like Screaming Frog SEO Spider, or a header checker like http://urivalet.com/ - it's also accessible to Google, you just need to wait for them to re-crawl.

Hi there
Check out your robots.txt in Wordpress:
Admin Dashboard>Settings>General>Privacy -- what is setting?
I would also read up on Robots.txt and see if you can find anything that may stand out to you. Then, I would take a look at your XML sitemap and upload it to Google Webmaster Tools and Bing Webmaster Tools.
I, like the others, would like to see your robots.txt file as well to see a live example. This shouldn't be anything major!

It's so easy to block your entire site from Google with robots.txt. Are you using Yoast SEO as the SEO plugin? With this, there shouldn't really be any need to block anything yourself.
Drop your URL here and we can take a look.

Could you post the URL to your robots.txt file or post the content of the file itself?
-
If you wish to block your pages from search engines, then you should use noindex and not disallow in robots.txt. In many cases, a robots, txt is doing more harm than good.
What is your URL?

Wordpress #comment links?
We just started our trial account and have the results from our first Moz Pro Site Crawl. It's showing that we have a large portion of our pages have 'Too Many Links' and I'm trying to determine exactly what this means and how to fix it. The article referenced is from 2011 and doesn't fully address what I'm looking for. Here are a few questions: 1. Can we lower the 'link count' by adding a 'no follow' or does too many links, count links regardless? The question being, is the only way to solve this by removing links or are their no follow or no index options that will prevent us from having this issue moving forward? 2. Comment Links: Our site is in Wordpress and I just recognized that each of the comment links are followed: https://screencast.com/t/b0CIKVafWw. These aren't links from our users, rather these are links within Wordpress and are structured like this: https://mysite.com/blog-post/#comment-6970. From my screenshot you can see they are highlighted as 'followed links'. Is there a setting within Wordpress to turn this off or is there another option I should consider? Should we just make these no index, no follow links? Will that solve the 'Too many links' problem? I searched through the Q&A's and couldn't find an answer directly to my question. Most were around people leaving links in the comments section, which isn't what I'm looking for. Thank you for any help you can provide.

SEO for E-Commerce Sites
Hi Everybody, I have two e-commerce sites just launched with not much content at the moment just user login pages for the clients to avail the service. The management is not interested to put much content there i think. Maximum what they will be putting only 5 pages of content in total, not more than this. Any practical tips how to optimize such sites especially when there is not much content. Best

Can Robots.txt on Root Domain override a Robots.txt on a Sub Domain?
We currently have beta sites on sub-domains of our own domain. We have had issues where people forget to change the Robots.txt and these non-relevant beta sites get indexed by search engines (nightmare). We are going to move all of these beta sites to a new domain that we disallow all in the root of the domain. If we put fully configured Robots.txt on these sub-domains (that are ready to go live and open for crawling by the search engines) is there a way for the Robots.txt in the root domain to override the Robots.txt in these sub-domains? Apologies if this is unclear. I know we can handle this relatively easy by changing the Robots.txt in the sub-domain on going live but due to a few instances where people have forgotten I want to reduce the chance of human error! Cheers, Dave.

Is it better to put all your CSS in 1 file or is it no problem to use 10 files or more like on most frameworks?

Integrate a blog within an existing site
Hello everyone! I work on a website of a very small company and so far no one has ever implemented (not even thought about) a proper content strategy. The only content on the site are products description. Through Analytics I discovered lots of opportunities and topics to be covered which would massively increase the traffic, increase the engagement and (hopefully) sales. Problem is that I don't really know how to integrate a blog into the existing site; my first thought was wordpress What is the best way to do it?

Positioning one site in two languages
Hi all, I have used the plugin wpml in order to have one site in different languages (Spanish and English). The problem is that this plugin doesn't work with all in one SEO plugin so that the spanish home and the english home have the same title. Google has positionated in the first position the english one in google.es. How can I revert the situation if I fix the problem with other plugin? Thanks.

On-Site Optimization and Repeat Customers
Hello, One of my clients has repeat customers. All of his surface level categories are optimized. None of his 2nd or 3rd level categories are optimized at all. Is there any harm in optimizing these 2nd or 3rd level categories. Is there any way it could cause a problem with repeat customers? I didn't think so but I want to make sure. Thanks!

Is there any benefit in on-site duplicate content?
I have about 50 internal pages on my site that I want to add a "Do it yourself tutorial" to in an effort to build the quality of the pages. Is this going to de-value the content if I put it on all 50 pages? It's difficult to write similar content 50 different ways.
