How is Moz's DA score so high?
-
Obviously they make the tool that measures this, but is their own score inflated because of this? I know DA isn't strictly a measure of popularity, but Moz's own score seems a little _too _high compared to some other sites...
- 92 - Moz.com
- 90 - Salesforce.com
- 87 - Airbnb.com
- 84 - Priceline.com
- 83 - Squarespace.com
Can someone shed some light on how DA is actually measured?
-
Hi there
First, here is where you can read about how Domain Authority is calculated.
Second, Moz is a highly respected business/website with tons of great backlinks and mentions all over the web - I highly doubt they are inflating their own numbers in this case.
Given the industries, I can see Squarespace / Priceline & Airbnb having lower DA - there tends to be quite a bit of spam in those industries - traveling sites and CMS/blogging platforms.
Moz & Salesforce are neck and neck however and I would expect this because again, they are both highly regarded and a lot of people use & trust them.
Not saying that's not true for the other sites but again, I want to say this is more industry related.
Hope this helps - good luck!

Links on my website do not get highlighted by Moz bar in Chrome
I've used the Moz bar for many years to quickly figure out if a link is followed or no-followed. I recently used a Wordpress plugin to build lists of subjects and excerpts of pages with appropriate links. An example is at https://www.chicagotraveler.com/chicago-parks/ This is the main Parks section page. Below the map is a set of links and descriptions of each park in this section of the site. The problem is that when I use the Moz bar to look at this page, the links are not highlighted no matter which settings I click on. Followed, No-followed, External or Internal. I've looked at the code and while there is a bit of css nearby the links, they look fairly normal. Does this mean that moz thinks there is something wrong. Do you think google will also ignore these links? Should I scrap the plugin and build and maintain these lists manually?

Hey there. I'm trying to export a .pdf to send to my client. When I click "export pdf", the page sits for a second then goes to a 404 page? I've never seen this before. Is anyone else getting this problem?

Duplicate Home Page in Moz Report
I recently ran a crawl report in MOZ for www.laddersfree.co.uk and it has picked duplicate pages for my home page. The two pages are www.laddersfree.co.uk and www.laddersfree.co.uk The CMS System my developer is using is Concrete5. If you look at the source code there is a Canonical <link rel="<a class="attribute-value">canonical</a>" href="http://www.laddersfree.co.uk/" /> I am very confused as to why there are two pages picked up in the crawl. Can someone offer any advice please? Thank you. Jason

Have any insight into why our Moz Rank dropped?
I'm working on a site with a very low domain authority to start and in viewing our historical MozRank comparison to competitors I see that we had a MozRank between 2 and 3 two months ago, but now have a MozRank of 0. What could have triggered this dropoff? It's clear we need to boost domain authority, but we have never had any so we're no worse in that department now than we were two months ago. Any insight here would be useful. Thanks! W2A1u2D.png
