How should be a perfect SEO Title, Description, H1 and H2?
-
Hello friends,
i have a very good question.
In a website of coupon codes, how should be a perfect Title, Description, H1 and H2?
For example: If our main keyword is "Promo codes Amazon" but we we want to get good results with "Coupon codes Amazon", "Discounts Amazon" and "Coupons Amazon", how should be a perfect SEO?
In some sites, people we use some tactics like month or year in title and descriptions or number of coupons and offers.
Thanks so much.

Love the mouse analogy - perfect. This is a great answer and a great example of how to answer. Agree with the substance as well. Find the morsels you're able to get quickly, feed off those & grow.

Egol has detailed a very good answer. It depends on your site strength and site attributes before you can make a firm decision.
ie if a weak site I would not start off with Discount as the first word in your title - The title has high SEO impact so I would chase keywords that are of high relevance. The title generally can only be 512 pixels before it truncates, back to 487 pixels. If a very weak site I would include a location in the title to get ranked for something, take a beach head and expand from there.
So use a serp optimizer tool and review your Title, before finalizing
So you could use as the title
Promo Codes Amazon | Coupon Codes | Name of website
Then depending on which is your landing page you may be able to make the SEO URL relevant. ie www.website.com/promotional-codes-amazon
The description has no SEO value that I am aware so this should be your CTA for a click. So that is where you have fun and can be aggressive is the tick ✓ Free Shipping ✓ Cash on Delivery ✓ 15 days Return - Jabong is using this to devastating effect at present.
Your H1 is important for SEO and again it depends on your site but it could simple be "Promotional Coupon Codes Los Angeles". H2 again should compliment your strategy so google sees all ducks lined up and has a clear picture of what your website does.
Not sure if answered your question, but hope that helps, as Egol indicates the strategy depends somewhat on the strength of your site.
For the actual perfect clickable optimized ad - we actually run scientific experiments in the form of surveys on them for clients. No other way we know it can be done. Finally use the pipe | splitting phrases in your headline as that makes generally for a more clickable ad that hyphens etc. plus uses less pixels.

Hi there
It really comes down to doing proper research based on what your users are searching for and making sure your content and on-site SEO are a reflection of those searches and finding variations of those queries/keywords.
It will take a bit of manual labor and research, but again, it will pay dividends in the long run.
Hope this helps a bit! Good luck!

Thanks so much for your answer.

It is really hard to give advice like this because "Perfect SEO Titles" and descriptions and headers depend upon what website you are going to publish them on.
If you have a big, strong, kickass website you can put very little effort into this and beat everybody around. Just slap up "Discount Coupon Codes for Amazon" and you will beat everybody for all permutations of the keywords. You will rake in almost everything.
Now if you have a new, weak, tiny site then you will have to be like a mouse in the elephant cage at the circus. He has to target one tiny little morsel of food on the floor, wait until none of the elephants are looking, dash out, grab it, run back to his hiding place, and pray that he doesn't get stepped on the entire time.
So, your title tags have to be customized to the strength of your site compared to your competitors and the query that you are targeting. Coupons is a very competitive niche so you will have to be very smart.
If you have a new, weak, tiny site, your goal should be to find queries that are used but that noone else is targeting. You gotta be a really smart and fast mouse. For that reason, researching what people might query and finding those that are unguarded is everything. And, generic advice has no value.

Webjaguar SEO shortcomings
Hey All. I have a client whose ecommerce site is build in Webjaguar. Does anyone have experience with this platform. It appears to be loaded with technical SEO challenges (duplicate content, weird URLs, etc). Interestingly, when I Google "webjaguar SEO challenges" and things like that....nothing comes up. Suspicious, methinks. I appreciate any thoughts from SEO folks. Thanks!

Title Tag Verses H1 Tag. Is having both the same better than different if there's only one clear winner in keyword search volume
Hi Mozzers, I am going through my categories on my eccomerce hire site trying to improve things and just wanted to check this query with you My understanding is that if I have the same H1 and title tag, then that would give more weight for that keyword phrase? Would I also be correct in assuming that the H1 is more important than the title tag or should both be treated as equals in terms of SEO. My dimemla is that for certain products we hire, there's only really one clear winner in terms of keyword phrase. The others I find in keyword planner are way down the volume list , so I have tended to put the H1 and title tag as the same and then have H2 tag and a slightly different heading. Is that the best philosphy or should I really mix them up , so the the title tag, h1, h2 are different ? Also Currently My on page content mentions the the H1 tag near the beginning of the content. Is this correct or should I really be using the H2 tag phrase near the beginning of the content. For example - One of the products we hire out is carpet cleaners. Therefore the main keyword phrase is carpet cleaner hire

and for our local pages its' carpet cleaner hire <city name="">.
This is my title tag and H1 tag and then for my h2 tag , I have something like "carpet cleaning equipment" with the content
mentioning carpet cleaner hire near the beginning.</city> I don't want to look likes its over optimization or mention the word hire to much but being a hire website, it's difficult not to and other keywords that don't mention it in it, are to varied so could increase bounce rates ?. When I look in GWT against my content keywords - the word hire shows a full bar. Just wondered what peoples thoughts are if what I am doing it okay?
thanks

SEO issues with Magento
Hi Everyone, We use Magento CMS for our site and we are having a frustrating time resolving our SEO issues. The site was very poorly managed in years past and in the past year I have redesigned and cleaned up many things. However we are recently having trouble with indexing and keyword ranking. Issue #1: Our main keyword ranking has dropped quite a bit while our other less important keywords have steadily risen. I suspect a very strict robots.txt implemented back in early January may have been the culprit. We have since been modifying it with out much luck. Many of our pages are still blocked. 12/05/12 : ranked 12th 1/09/13: ranked 19th 1/16/13: ranked 35th Now: out of top 50 (52nd) Issue #2: Not a single image is being indexed. We are 0 for 582 according to Webmaster tools. Not sure why... Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated as I have great determination and interest in learning the correct way to fix/do this. Images and SEO
Hi, I would like some opinions on the topic of using images for SEO. I have come across a few sites that I see have very few backlinks, but have decent pagerank and seem to rank well for certain keywords. One such site I looked at had very little content other than tons of images (It was a joke blog that focussed on funny images, funny pics etc) and now I am starting to question whether hotlinking images assists in SEO? are there any benefits to having someone using one of your images (hosted on your site) ? I do recall reading somewhere that someone hotlinking an image is akin to a link. Any truth in this?

How Does SEO Help Local Businesses
Hello, I recently took a position as a digital marketing manger with a advertising agency. Its my job to grow the digital marketing department. One of the issues I am running into is 90% of our clients are local businesses. When doing keyword research it is very difficult to find keywords with lots of search. For example, if I am optimizing for a Ford dealership in Hackensack,NJ there are not a lot of searches for this term. How can I justify a larger SEO budget when there is just not a lot of search volume for these keywords? This is nothing like Dog Training Videos or something similar. Am I missing something? Where can I pull traffic from for local businesses to justify larger SEO budgets? Thanks, Bill

Seo for Q&A site
Hi, I am working on a newly launched Q&A site. We have very few questions and users right now and very very low seo traffic. In order to increase the number of users and seo traffic we intend to create a number of pages containing potential questions. Each page would have the following structure: Question. Ex: "What are the top wholesale suppliers of coffee in China?" Some content. Ex: Are you looking for wholesale suppliers of coffee in China? Post your question here? Question form Some additional content So there would be a page for wholesale suppliers of coffee for every country. We would publish the pages gradually and the content would be unique but yet similar (ex: only the Country changes). What do you think about this approach? Is it a good idea or can it be dangerous? We don't want to incur in any kind of penalization, we just want to give the possibility to people who are looking for specific information to find us and be able to post the request on our website.
