ScreamingFrog won't crawl my site.

Hey guys,
My site is Netspiren.dk and when I use a tool like Screaming Frog or Integrity, it only crawls my homepage and menu's - not product-pages.
Examples
A menu: http://www.netspiren.dk/pl/Helse-Kosttilskud-Blandingsolie_57699.aspx
A product: http://www.netspiren.dk/pi/All-Omega-3-6-9-180-kapsler_1412956_57699.aspxIs it because the products are being loaded in Javascript?
What's your recommendation?All best,

Thank you for this question and the responses because we encountered the same issue; Screaming Frog was only crawling a handful of products out of hundreds, because of JS. We made significant changes to the redirect rules on our dev site, and we want to make sure that the changes will not cause any crawling errors before we deploy to the live site. Is there any way to disable JS just for the purpose of a Screaming Frog crawl?

I'm not sure if this has been fixed already, and thank you for Dan for chiming in, but I was able to crawl around 700 URLs.

Hi Fred,
I haven't performed an extensive check, but the SEO Spider crawls around 35 URLs with /pi/ in the string, which is presumably not all the products on the site
Patrick actually mentions the issue in one of his points above. Essentially it looks like the site uses JavaScript on category pages for products, example - http://www.netspiren.dk/pl/Helse-Homøopati-Allergica-Ron-serien_58721.aspx
If you disable JS in your browser, you'll see a blank page where the products were. Our tool doesn't execute JS, although Google is much smarter and often can.
However, I'll leave you to verify that -

Hi there
It's crawling for me. Here are a list of reasons why ScreamingFrog won't crawl your site:
- The site is blocked by robots.txt. A count of pages blocked by robots.txt is shown in the crawl overview pane on top right hand site of the user interface. You can configure the SEO Spider to ignore robots.txt by going to the “Basic” tab under Configuration->Spider.
- The site behaves differently depending on User Agent. Try changing the User Agent under Configuration->User Agent.
- The site requires JavaScript. Try looking at the site in your browser with JavaScript disabled.
- The site requires Cookies. Can you view the site with cookies disabled in your browser? Licenced users can enable cookies by going to Configuration->Spider and ticking “Allow Cookies” in the “Advanced” tab.
- The ‘nofollow’ attribute is present on links not being crawled. There is an option in Configuration->Spider under the “Basic” tab to follow ‘nofollow’ links.
- The page has a page level ‘nofollow’ attribute. The could be set by either a meta robots tag or an X-Robots-Tag in the HTTP header. These can be seen in the “Directives” tab in the “Nofollow” filter.
- The website is using framesets. The SEO Spider does not crawl the frame src attribute.
- The Content-Type header did not indicate the page is html. This is shown in the Content column and should be either text/html or application/xhtml+xml.
Run through your settings and check and see if you may have turned something on inadvertently that you didn't mean to. One thing you can try, is goto Configuration > Spider and then goto the last option Ignore robots.txt. Click the checkbox and try running it again.
It could just be a slow connection on your end. Give it a few minutes and see if any of the above suggestions work.

Schema Markup Doesn't Make Any Sense!! Help Please
Hey again Moz community! I've been trying to read up on schema markup and watch videos multiple times (!) but I can't understand how it works. I would greatly appreciate it if someone can answer these questions: Do I need to ‘markup’ every part of the article? Like “this section can be FAQ snippet, and this can also FAQ etc..". So I guess my question is how detailed does the markup have to be? What are the best tools to use for schema markup for wordpress? What are the best tools to use for schema markup for react web-app? The https://search.google.com/test/rich-results shows if the markup is good for a page, but it doesn’t provide any details. For some articles it says that sitelinks searchbox is detected but that’s only one type of snippet possibility? Crawler doesn't discover the links in the main nav
Hi Moz Community, We have a headless ecom (Magento) client that I'm trying to crawl the site. During the crawl, the tool (Screaming Frog) cannot discover the sub-category URLs in the main navigation when I start crawling via homepage. Similarly, when I start crawling with one of the sub-category page, it doesn't crawl any of the product URLs on the sub-category page itself. When I inspect product and sub-cat URLs through Search Console, they seem as indexed and if I view how Googlebot rendered the sub-category page, I can see the product URLs on the sub-cat page too. If you have any idea what's the issue with Screaming Frog and would like to help me out, I'd be so grateful! Thanks in advance

Crawl and Indexation Error - Googlebot can't/doesn't access specific folders on microsites
Hi, My first time posting here, I am just looking for some feedback on a indexation issue we have with a client and any feedback on possible next steps or items I may have overlooked. To give some background, our client operates a website for the core band and a also a number of microsites based on specific business units, so you have corewebsite.com along with bu1.corewebsite.com, bu2.corewebsite.com. The content structure isn't ideal, as each microsite follows a structure of bu1.corewebsite.com/bu1/home.aspx, bu2.corewebsite.com/bu2/home.aspx and so on. In addition to this each microsite has duplicate folders from the other microsites so bu1.corewebsite.com has indexable folders bu1.corewebsite.com/bu1/home.aspx but also bu1.corewebsite.com/bu2/home.aspx the same with bu2.corewebsite.com has bu2.corewebsite.com/bu2/home.aspx but also bu2.corewebsite.com/bu1/home.aspx. Therre are 5 different business units so you have this duplicate content scenario for all microsites. This situation is being addressed in the medium term development roadmap and will be rectified in the next iteration of the site but that is still a ways out. The issue

About 6 weeks ago we noticed a drop off in search rankings for two of our microsites (bu1.corewebsite.com and bu2.corewebsite.com) over a period of 2-3 weeks pretty much all our terms dropped out of the rankings and search visibility dropped to essentially 0. I can see that pages from the websites are still indexed but oddly it is the duplicate content pages so (bu1.corewebsite.com/bu3/home.aspx or (bu1.corewebsite.com/bu4/home.aspx is still indexed, similiarly on the bu2.corewebsite microsite bu2.corewebsite.com/bu3/home.aspx and bu4.corewebsite.com/bu3/home.aspx are indexed but no pages from the BU1 or BU2 content directories seem to be indexed under their own microsites. Logging into webmaster tools I can see there is a "Google couldn't crawl your site because we were unable to access your site's robots.txt file." This was a bit odd as there was no robots.txt in the root directory but I got some weird results when I checked the BU1/BU2 microsites in technicalseo.com robots text tool. Also due to the fact that there is a redirect from bu1.corewebsite.com/ to bu1.corewebsite.com/bu4.aspx I thought maybe there could be something there so consequently we removed the redirect and added a basic robots to the root directory for both microsites. After this we saw a small pickup in site visibility, a few terms pop into our Moz campaign rankings but drop out again pretty quickly. Also the error message in GSC persisted. Steps taken so far after that In Google Search Console, I confirmed there are no manual actions against the microsites. Confirmed there is no instances of noindex on any of the pages for BU1/BU2 A number of the main links from the root domain to microsite BU1/BU2 have a rel="noopener noreferrer" attribute but we looked into this and found it has no impact on indexation Looking into this issue we saw some people had similar issues when using Cloudflare but our client doesn't use this service Using a response redirect header tool checker, we noticed a timeout when trying to mimic googlebot accessing the site Following on from point 5 we got a hold of a week of server logs from the client and I can see Googlebot successfully pinging the site and not getting 500 response codes from the server...but couldn't see any instance of it trying to index microsite BU1/BU2 content So it seems to me that the issue could be something server side but I'm at a bit of a loss of next steps to take. Building a product clients will integrate into their sites: What is the best way to utilize my clients' unique domain names?
I'm designing a hosted product my clients will integrate into their websites, their end users would access it via my clients' customer-facing websites. It is a product my clients pay for which provides a service to their end users, who would have to login to my product via a link provided by my clients. Most clients would choose to incorporate this link prominently on their home page and site nav.

All clients will be in the same vertical market, so their sites will be keyword rich and related to my site.
Many may even be .org and ,edus The way I see it, there are three main ways I could set this up within the product.
I want to know which is most beneficial, or if I'm missing anything. 1: They set up a subdomain at their domain that serves content from my domain product.theirdomain.com would render content from mydomain.com's database.
product.theirdomain.com could have footer and/or other no-follow links to mydomain.com with target keywords The risk I see here is having hundreds of sites with the same target keyword linking back to my domain.
This may be the worst option, as I'm not sure about if the nofollow will help, because I know Google considers this kind of link to be a link scheme: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/66356?hl=en 2: They link to a subdomain on mydomain.com from their nav/site

How to solve outbound broken links? Those don't exist now?
There are many, many broken links on the website. What normal strategy to use for that? http://www.txacspecialist.com/air-conditioning-equipment-service-austin/american-standard/ It's an AC site, so all the links to AC vendors who have changed their product pages, all of those links are broken So for instance, the carrier 20xl doesn't exist anymore. Now they sell the carrier 45abp. We link carrier 20xl and now the page and AC model is not exist. So what I can do to solve the broken link issue?

What happens when I redirect an entire site to an established page on another site?
Hi There, I have a website which is dedicated to selling ONE product (in different forms) or my main brand site. It is branded similarly, targets similar keywords, and gets some traffic which convert to leads. Additionally, the auxiliary site has a Google Rank 2 in its own right. I am thinking of consolidating this "auxillary" site to the specific product page on my main site. The reason I am considering doing this is to give a "boost" to the main product page on our main site which has many core keywords sitting with SERP ranking of between 11-20 (so not in first 10) Because this auxiliary site it gets traffic and leads in its own right, I don't want this to be to the detriment of my leads overall. Question is - if I 301 redirect the entire domain from my auxillary site to the equivalent product on my main site am I likely to see a large "boost" to that product page? (i.e. will I likely see my ranking rise from 11 - 20 significantly)

Any idea why I can't add a Panoramio image link to my Google Places page?
Hey guys & gals! Last week, I watched one of the Pro Webinars on here related to Google Places. Since then, I have begun to help one of my friends with his GP page to get my feet wet. One of the tips from the webinar was to geotag images in Panoramio to use for your images on the Places page. However, when I try to do this, I just get an error that says they can't upload it at this time. I tried searching online for answers, but the G support pages that I have found where someone asks the same question, there is no resolution. Can anyone help? PS - I would prefer not to post publicly the business name, URL, etc. So, if that info is needed, I can PM. Thanks a lot!
