Sorry, but that URL is inaccessible?
-
Hi,
I am trying to grade some pages and keywords using the "On-page grader" tool but for each URL that I try, the tool returns me a "Sorry, but that URL is inaccessible". The thing is that I have already used previously and without any problem some of these URLs. In fact, I have just realized that, while the same URL (for example: www.lacasadelaaldea.com) works in the "On-page optimization tool", it doesn't in the "On-page grader" right now.
I have looked if someone could have experienced the same issue and I have found some other threads talking about it... so I have checked with my hosting provider that there is no firewall or any other thing causing this problem but they can't find anything. How do you make the call to the server? What could be happening?
Thanks in advance,
Juan

Wow, I feel a little bit embarrassed to share with you what really happened...
I was going to take a screenshot and then I realized that I was writting down the URL where should go the keywords and viceversa so it was all my bad I have just come back from my summer vacation yesterday so I guess I am a little rusty and my mind is still adjusting
Sorry for the inconvinience! And thanks a lot to both of you anyway

Hi Juan
We are not seeing any issues with the on-page grader. Can you share a screenshot of the error message?

Thanks for your quick reply Patrick. I hadn't thought about that so I'm going to check it!

Hi there
I would review your robots.txt and make sure that you're not blocking crawlers from finding important information that may be contained in some of your extensions or directories that you have blocked. You seem to have quite a few, and based that I don't know how your resources are set up/I am skimming, that would be an area to look. This could also apply to the notifications about blocking JSS and CSS that Google has sent out recently.
Hope this helps! Good luck!

Site crawl warning - concatenated urls from Wordpress
I could use some help on how to fix this. I asked at the walkthrough but was told it was a Wordpress issue but so far I can't find anything to point me in the right direction. There are no errors in the files on server side and I have asked my hosting company too. I am hoping someone here may be able to shed some light on it. One of my websites it giving 404 errors on links that are formed as below and there are over 12.7K of them! Example: <mydomainurl>/www.instagram.com/www.instagram.com/<instagram username=""></instagram></mydomainurl> The link that relates to my website is valid and working, but I don't understand the rest. I am totally stumped on how to move forward with this. Any advice, suggestions, tips on how to fix these errors and stop these types of links getting generated. Thanks.

How do I disallow crawl on a directory when it's a prefix to my site's URL?
I am trying to disallow our media repository (hosted elsewhere, but appears as a directory on our site) from being crawled by robots but it is not a subdirectory of the site, it's a prefix. So I need to disallow: mediabank.mywebsite.org Not: mysite.org/mediabank What would I need to put in my robots.txt and/or the other host's robots.txt to make this happen? Thanks!

I just did a crawl for one my clients to validate any error in the structure. Next thing I know is that the website have multiple variation of the same url with query like ?order=asc and ?view=list at the end of it. Need to solve "Oops our crawlers were unable to access" url for new campaign
I'm putting the url designfirstkitchenandbath.com and getting the "oops! our crawlers were unable to access the site. Since this site is a potential client, which shows up online, I can't get access to fix the code, plus while I can write a little html I don't feel comfortable working with hard, live code on someonelse's site. Anyone have a simple solution?

Why is the exact same URL being seen as duplicate and showing an error in my SEO reports
Well, I am still having duplicate page issues. I have a question about one of the errors SEO is giving me when I download a crawl report. I am going to attach a screen shot of part of the report so you can see for yourself, along with explaining it here. SEO shows the list of URL's that it crawled in the report. In this(see attachment) portion of the report it has 321 results for the exact same URL. It also says all of these exact same URL's have received a 404 error. What I want to know is how does it make 321 results for the same URL? And with this error that I don't see when I look at the page? 0hkRDST
