B2b services site, deep long tail services or flat and broad
-
Hi all,
i have a small internet agency with services in several area's.
Currently i structud my services in 2 different area's.
General services and specialized products with services underneath.like so:
domain.com/services
domain.com/services/service1
domain.com/services/service2
and so on.domain.com/product
domain.com/product/service1
domain.com/product/service2domain.com/product2
domain.com/product2/service1
domain.com/product2/service2But now im thinking of create loads of different services i provide,
there are some overlapping content of course, but all services are still individual.
But i can write a lot of unique content about all the services. But is it smarter to make just a few big pages with the services more bundled.
Or really long tail. Now i have around 15 services pages.
when i make it a lot deeper im talking about 40 pages.Currently my complete website is around 35 pages.
-
If you create those pages individually then to me it would seem that magento is not responsive or custom and responsive is not custom or magento.
To me it clearly seems that it's just sections of one page and that's how i'd recommend to do it.
-
Maybe to clarify a few things. For example
i have a service
Webshop developmentbut i also want to target on
Magento webshop development
Responsive webshop development
Custom webshop developmentSo yeah they are very similar, but all have a very specific end-goal.
When i have those words on h2, h3 element on the site with around 200 words about it beneath that i notice that im not ranking nearly enough then when creating all separate pages. But im afraid i will go overboard, of course the user still needs to find it value-able

Hi.
But now im thinking of create loads of different services i provide,
there are some overlapping content of course, but all services are still individual.
But i can write a lot of unique content about all the services. Is it truly gonna be unique? Or unique will mean has words' order is changed and city names gonna be different? It's all about user experience nowadays, my friend. Everything has to make sense.
Here is a whiteboard friday you can refer to: https://moz.com/blog/pinpoint-vs-floodlight-content-and-keyword-research-strategies-whiteboard-friday
Basically, don't create extra pages just for extra pages. If every page has something unique to offer - go ahead. Also think about if those "unique services" are actually main services. If you have some kinda product which brings 0.5% of your revenue and is supportive service, then why even waste time on trying to rank for it and dilute the "theme" of the website.
Hope this helps.

Hello,
I think in this instance you will have to do a ROI investigation into your site and determine whether ranking for your long-tail keywords will generate the same kinds of conversions and income that ranking generally will.
For example, you obviously know long-tails are easier to rank for while generals have more potential traffic. If you can rank for your big keywords, you stand to bring more people to your site. That being said, are they equally likely to convert?
The big factor here is to determine what keywords suggest the greatest customer interest in purchase, and using those as your targeted keywords. If you can bring in big numbers of highly-targeted customers, that is ideal, but chances are that isn't the case. Given these are b2b services, you are probably less concerned with rankings and more concerned with marketing to clients through other means, so general keywords might be the way to go (unless your clients are very niche-specific).
I would try to find the happy middle-zone of numbers and high-payment potential.
Best of luck moving forward!
Rob

From a company perspective; would you recommend using a service like postloop to acquire additional blog comments through paying users.
I’m always hesitant when it comes to purchasing comments but it seems like a natural approach. Is this something that Google would take notice and/or frown upon? - Anything we should avoid? Any additional information would be helpful. Thank you in advance.

How best to handle on-site blogs for multiple site views in Magento?
Hi, I'm working with a site on Magento with views for UK, US and FR websites. Currently they have a French WordPress Blog that is pulled into the French site view and an English one that appears on both the US and UK views. Of course the problem here is that the US and UK views are duplicating content so these needs sorting super-fast. The plan is to disconnect the US view from the current English blog and create a dedicated US onsite blog. However, should we continue to use WordPress or instead use an alternative blog module or plugin for Magento? Cost is an issue and running three separate blogs and the cost of plugging these into each site view. However, getting these right for SEO is the most important factor here. I'm also concerned about the mess of multiple plugins causing page speed issues etc... My instinct is to go with WordPress, but I'm keen to hear what others think or have experience of.

What are the effects of posting on a blog site using copied content from your site if you source the site on the blog site?
I have noticed that some of my pages from my site are posted to different blog sites and directory submissions they are word for word what is on my site but at the bottom of the page it does list my site as the source and there are links in the text back to my site. Is this going to negatively effect my rankings or is it ok since my site is sourced in the article?

Would you allow guest writers to have google adsense on your site
Hi, i am thinking of building a website where 30% of the writers would be guest bloggers and i was thinking about letting guest bloggers have adsense on the site. What i was thinking of doing was, allowing the guest blogger to have one google adsense advert on the page of the article but not sure what people think. The new magazine would be on one topic but i am worried incase the person kept on pressing the google adsense advert to get money in. The google adsense code would be there code, does anyone know if there is a way from hiding their code so they do not know which one is their google adsense advert, and do people think this is a good idea. This would only be offered to people who write good quality interest content. will be interested to hear your thoughts

Copywriting Services for Whitepaper Creation
Can anybody recommend a particular company or website where I might be able to find some help in creating a whitepaper for lead generation? We have a few subject identified, and we've written a handful of blog posts about these subjects already, so we have some content. We're just struggling with compiling it and formatting into an effective whitepaper format. I was hoping we might get some professional help with this first one.

Site structure question
I'm doing a site that will have many many pages.
Content Development | | OxzenMedia
Now I have heard that you get more seo value if its a lower tear so for example: site.com/product rather than site.com/brand/subbrand/product Is this correct? Should I structure my site like this? site.com/product
site.com/brand points to site.com/product (so all products are on the sub root.) Does that make sense?0
