Why is Moz local showing my google plus page as incomplete when it is 100% complete
-
Hi all,
New to using Moz Local and so far I like it - but some information is a bit confusing. Specifically the "Incomplete" listings. When I click on it - it shows my Google Plus page (which is verified) as being incomplete. The reason provided is that Moz Local thinks I need to add 3 more categories, when in fact there are no more categories available on Google Plus.
Any idea why?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Chad,
Glad that helped. Regarding time frames, we are unable to provide an accurate estimate on these, as it's a combo of when you added categories + when Google process that and pushes it out so we can see it + when our system updates. Wish I could offer a good estimate, but as we don't have control over all the steps, we can't predict. So sorry about that.
P.S. This is Miriam responding, in Mozzer Alliance at the moment.

Gotcha.
Now it makes sense! It was telling me that I needed to add 3 more categories but I already have 5 categories listed on the Google Plus page.
Now I get that the info just hasn't been pulled into Moz Local yet. Thanks for the quick response. Out of curiosity, how long does it take for the info to get pulled in from Google?

Hi Muskrat & Tiffeny,
Thanks for bringing this up. Our category recommendations should be taken as a general guide, particularly in regards to Google. Google's guidelines specifically state that they want you to use the fewest possible categories (see: https://support.google.com/business/answer/3038177?hl=en). So, important to remember here that the Moz Local score is not as important as the accuracy and guideline compliance of your actual business listings. Right now, we have a category minimum of just 3 categories set for Google, so if you've added that many, it's just a matter of waiting for Google to push that data out so that our tool can pick it up and reflect it, improving your score.
Hope this helps!

I am new to MOZ
I just purchased MOZ local for a client on a brand new location. I had already submitted the NAP to the big four google, yahoo, bing, yelp. I purchased the 99/year basic plan and now I am a bit confused. Will MOZ submit to the local directories in the network or out of the network that does not have a listing in place (Business New Address) so no listings exist besides the ones I mentioned. Also, it says it will send it to all four aggregators, is this true and how can I verify? Can someone explain what I should expect? YIKES, I hope this is not a dumb question for those MOZer gurus :). If it doesn't what did I just buy? A way to monitor Google? Please assist. I need to get NAP data out there for local directories for a customer. Should I have done this a different way? Thanks in advance,

Moz Local and Apple Maps: How does the listing update work?
Hello, how are apple maps updated via Moz Local? We have a client who changed their business name within the last six months. We noticed one of the few items that has not changed to date within their Moz dashboard is the name of the business on Apple Maps. In the Accuracy grid, the only item not checked within the Apple Maps column is the business name. Does anyone know how this process works within the Moz Local portal? Is there something we can do to advance the name change on our end? Thank you.

Correct GMB page is not being pulled to validate in Moz Dashboard
Hi, I have a client who will be purchasing a Moz Local package. They have 1 main location and 11 off-site locations throughout the city. I am trying to validate the last location through the dashboard but the correct Google My Business page is not being pulled. I went to the backend of the Google My Business page and there is a banner saying, "Your business is verified. Listings may be reviewed for quality and can take up to 3 days to be published." This banner has been present for almost 3 weeks now. The Google Business pages were bulk verified and only this one page is pending review. Does anyone have insights as to why the page is still pending review? If the page is verified, why is it not being pulled to Moz Dashboard?

Can I sync our local listing in Moz with a Google My Busines listing when there are multiple GMB listings?
We working a healthcare facility that has over 30 listings set up in Google My Business, individual listings for each doctor and other healthcare professionals. We are trying to sync with Google My Business, but continue to receive a message about being unable to validate the listing. We've ensured that the information matches in each listing. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, any advice on how to get it to sync. I've looked through support documents and not found anything that has helped.

Does Moz track mobile queries?
Sorry if this has been asked before (searched to no avail), and it's probably a dumb question... but if you're still reading... 🙂 I'd like to determine which pages of my site show up on MOBILE searches (i.e. user is on an iPhone). I know that Moz shows searches "from" a certain location, but my understanding (which may be wrong!) is that the SERP on a mobile device is sometimes different from a desktop search. Ultimately, I'm trying to decide whether to create a whole different layout for my home page ONLY for mobile devices, and if virtually everyone finding my site on a mobile phone would see that page first. I figured if Moz tracked "mobile SERP rankings", then I could simply see if any pages besides the home page are ranking for my targeted terms. Any thoughts or clarifications greatly appreciated! 🙂 ~ Scott
