Hi,

I've added my app to search console, and there are reported 480 content mismatch pages. How can I solve this problem?

Should extra content be added to item page or resource center?

We run an ecommerce company which sells machines. After the machine is used for X amount of time, we suggest changing the blades in the machines. We have a resource center for customer convenience. We are creating videos and content on how to change the blades in each machine. (each machine is a different process). Do we create videos and content in the resource center and link to the product page or do we beef up our content on the product page by adding that information there? 1 part of us thinks - "The new blade-changing content" is valuable to that product so buyers know the process before buying and hopefully gain some rank juice on the item pages. The other part of us thinks - Keep all resources in the resource center and link to learning resources from the product pages. This version doesn't beef up our product pages but seems to be the logical place to hose the content on the website. Thoughts? Suggestions?

Issue: Duplicate Page Content

Hello SEO experts, I'm facing duplicate page content issue on my website. My website is a apartments rental website when client search apartment for availability. Automatic generate same url's. Duplicate Content - Category Pages 2+

I have my Wordpress SEO settings to deindex past page 1 of each category. However, Google Webmasters is selling me I have 210 pages with duplicate title tags. My site tanked last weekend and I don't know if it was Google Panda or what. I have been getting some fantastic backlinks and it seems like they just decided to disregard all of them as I am completely off the SERPs. Is this duplicate content a contributing factor? How can I get google to deindex my category pages past page 1? (I do need the first page to index as that does bring me organic traffic) Thanks.

Content in forum signatures being spidered, does it matter?

Hello, first post here, just started with SEOmoz so hope it's relevant. Searched a fair bit on this without getting a good answer either way so interested to get some opinions. The core of the site I run is a forum dedicated to collecting, for the sake of argument let's say cars. A good percentage of the users have signatures which list their collection, for example 1968 Car A - 1987 Car B - 1998 Car D and so on.... These signatures lists can be 20 items or more, some hotlink the signautres back to the relevant post on the forum, some not. The signatures show on every post on which the user makes. What I'm noting is a) SEOMoz is reporting a LOT of links on every forum page, due mainly to these signatures I guess. and of more interest b) The content of the signatures is being spidered. So for example of you search for '1968 Car A' you might get a couple of good results directly relevant to '1968 Car A' from my site, but you also get a lot of other non-relevant threads as results because the user just happens to have posted on them. Obviously this is much more apparent on the site google search. So what is the best approach? Leave as is? Hide the signatures from the BOTs? Another approach?

Duplicate content list by SEOMOZ

Hi Friends, I am seeing lot of duplicate (about 10%) from the crawl report of SEOMOZ. The report says, "Duplicate Page Content" But the urls it listed have different title, different url and also different content. I am not sure how to fix this issue.. My site has both Indian cinema news and photo gallery. The problme mainly coming in photo gallery posts. for example: this is the main url of a post. apgossips.com/2012/12/18/telugu-actress-poonam-kaur-photos . But in this post, each image is a link to its enlarged images (default wordpress). Is rel=canonical used only for duplicate content

Can the rel-canonical be used to tell the search engines which page is "preferred" when there are similar pages? For instance, I have an internal page that Google is showing on the first page of the SERPs that I would prefer the home page be ranked for. Both the home and internal page have been optimized for the same keyword. What is interesting is that the internal page has very few backlinks compared to the home page but Google seems to favor it since the keyword is in the URL. I am afraid a 301 will drop us from the first page of the SERPs.

Is Unique Content in the First Fold Better than Below the Fold?

Hi, Understand that Google will prefer unique content to be in the first fold of the website. But if those unique content are placed below the fold (in the center, right side or at the end of page), will Google place lower priority on the content?
