Mobile Google SRP not showing Mobile breadcrumb
-
Hi,
I have implemented schema code for Breadcrumb on mobile site which is same as on Desktop. Now Desktop breadcrumb structure is getting visible on Google SRP, but when i check Mobile breadcrumb structure in Android Phone Google SRP, it is not visible. I have verified both code in schema structure tool.Is there any different schema code for mobile breadcrumb.
Need any additional information regarding this, please send me your queries.

Thanks Everett for Clarification.

I did not mean to imply that AMP would fix your problem, as asked above. But, if you are interested in mobile optimization (including the snippets displayed in search results), you may want to check that out.
To answer your question, I don't think you are doing anything "wrong". Google likely handles desktop and mobile separately so you may have breadcrumbs on one and not the other. Having the code on the page does not guarantee that Google will display something in the search results.

But AMP is a way to build web pages for static content that render fast.

Hello Anirban,
Thanks for clearing that up. Again, Google does not always show markup just because you have it on the site.
If you are truly concerned with mobile optimization in the SERPs, check into Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP)- https://www.ampproject.org/ .
Best of luck!

Hi Everett,
Drop down navigation is only implemented on Desktop site and Breadcrumbs structure of desktop site of Ask & Answer getting visible in Google, but Mobile site breadcrumb is not getting visible in Google SRP.. -
Hello Anirban,
Just because you implement the markup does not mean Google will show it in the SERPs. This is true for breadcrumbs, product markup, events and more.
Also, it could have something to do with the drop-down navigation embedded in your breadcrumbs. You may try removing that to see if you get the breadcrumb on mobile.

Hi Everett,
We have implemented Breadcrumb on question detail pages. Please check this page http://goo.gl/WSGyDl and search this code itemscope itemtype="http://data-vocabulary.org/Breadcrumb. You can find all question detail pages here http://goo.gl/Zmz0v3 . -
Hello Anirban,
I did not see any breadcrumbs or breadcrumb markup on that page. The source code has a section for it, but nothing is inside it:

Hi Bridget,
Thanks for looking into this matter. I am checking it almost daily basis, but it is showing URL in Google SERP instead of breadcrumb. I have implemented code on question detail pages on section http://goo.gl/Zmz0v3 (This is the URL of AnA section, check it on Mobile browser). -
Hi Anirban, I don't believe that there is separate schema for mobile breadcrumbs, and since you tested it with the testing tool it seems that something else may be going on here. Have you checked it again recently, and is it still not visible?
Would you be willing to tell me what the site is, so I can have a look myself?

Google Webmaster Tools Parameters
We have several large ecommerce websites, and we've added some tracking parameters to GWT for google to ignore. All pages are correctly canonicaled. Google has been ignoring the parameters and the canonicals, and still ranks many parametered pages for us. Has anyone run into this?

A few important mobile SEO questions
I have a few basic questions about mobile SEO. I'd appreciate if any of you fabulous Mozzers can enlighten me. Our site has a parallel mobile site with the same urls, using an m. domain for mobile and www. for desktop. On mobile pages, we have a rel="canonical" tag pointing to the matching desktop URL and on desktop pages we have a rel="alternate" tag pointing to the matching mobile URL. When someone visits a www. page using a mobile device, we 301 them to the mobile version. Questions: 1. Do I want my mobile pages to be indexed by Google? From Tom's (very helpful) answers here, it seems that I only want Google indexing the full site pages and if the mobile pages are indexed it's actually a duplicate content issue. This is really confusing to me since Google knows that it's not duplicate content based on the canonical tag. But - he makes a good point - what is the value of having the mobile page indexed if the same page on desktop is indexed (I know that Google is indexing both because I see them in search results. When I search on mobile Google serves the mobile page and when I search on desktop Google serves me the desktop page.)? Are these pages competing with each other? Currently, we are doing everything we can do ensure that our mobile pages are crawled (deeply) and indexed, but now I'm not sure what the value of this is? Please share your knowledge. 2. Is a mobile page's ranking affected by social shares of the desktop version of the same page? Currently, when someone uses the share buttons on our mobile site, we share the desktop url (www. - not m.). The reason we do this is that we are afraid that if people are sharing our content with 2 different url's (m.mysite.com/some_post and www.mysite.com/some_post) the share count will not be aggregated for both url's. What I'm wondering is: will this have a negative effect on mobile SEO, since it will seem to Google that our mobile pages have no shares, or is this not a problem, since the desktop pages have a rel="alternate" tag pointing to mobile pages, so Google gives the same ranking to the mobile page as the desktop page (which IS being shared)?

Video SEO for Google
I was wondering what the prime factors were to make something rank for a video on Google. Does anyone have any suggestions? I think that length may be important, but I don't know what the ideal run time is. Hypothetically for local SEO, would I be better off doing a tag like "Mercedes Buffalo NY" or do individual tags of "Mercedes" and "Buffalo" Thanks!

Not ranking on Bing but is on Google?
Hi What are the main differences between Bing and Google in terms of ranking sites? My site is ranking well in Google but in Bing it is very low down and does not deliver much traffic. In Bing webmaster tools there are no warning messages and I had sent in a sitemap back in 2011 and 77 pages are listed, but I had not submitted a URL could this be why my pages are not ranking highly? Or does anybody have a checklist on what a site should offer to get ranking on Bing?

Google Penguin Penalty
Howdy Guys,
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | ScottBaxterWW
We have been battling our way the Google penguin penalty and have just received our 3 knocked back reconsideration request. I posted a find on here the other day about a simple change of page title made our site jump back up... In the meantime I've built 1 hight quality link back to our site and we have moved again from #50 to #46.Have Google ever removed a penalty without telling you?Should we ask for another reconsideration request? Thanks,

What are the different tactics for getting ranked/ included in Google finance searches such as http://www.google.com/finance/company_news?q=NASDAQ:ADBE
I don't know what ranking factors they are using for this feed. The results vary greatly from a search done at google.com or google.com/news and google.com/finance I'm working with a website that regularly publishes finance-related news and currently gets traffic from google finance. I'm wondering what we can do to optimize our news articles to possibly show more prominently or more often. Thanks
